No. Gordon doesn't know in the Batgirl DLC that his daughter is Batgirl. If you remember in the main game he only found out she was working with Batman after Barb was kidnapped by the Arkham Knight.
And with that, Whimsy's Batman Arkham journey comes to an end. Super fun series, loved every one of your videos (yes, even the Cloudburst one). Thank you for playing these games!!
Gordon didn't know Barbara was Batgirl no. He only found out she works for Batman in Arkham Knight when Batman told him. Also one of the riddles of the Riddler was finding her costume in the clock tower. Also I hoped you would have included the finality of Azrael's side mission. It had an interesting conclusion.
The Harley DLC was definitely too short. She's so fun! And also such an interesting character, with the second personality that talks to you. Still better to be longing for more than overstaying it's welcome. 47:55 Naaaah, he totally set his bullets to stun. Yes. That's it. 01:04:55 They should maybe stick to their codenames. Just saying their real names out loud doesn't seem like a good idea. Loved the whole playthrough of all the Batmans! I'm happy you liked them!
This was quite a journey! It's crazy to think it's already over, almost feels like it was yesterday you were going through the opening of Arkham Asylum!
The Batgirl DLC is my favorite. Not only do we see Barbara at her prime, there's some Easter Eggs to the greater DC universe, such as the intergalactic villain Starro being held in a tank, and the clown fish jumpscare being a reference to the "Laughing Fish" from BTAS.
Jason Todd, in the comics he came back to life because of Ra’s Al Ghul. He put Jason Todd in the Lazarus Pit & that’s what brought him back to life. And the Arkham Knight is a character from the comics but the Arkham Knight is Astrid Arkham, daughter of Jeremiah Arkham who is the nephew of Arkham Asylum founder Amadeus Arkham. And her mother is Ingrid Karlsson who was a kind hearted woman who was highly respected and liked by Arkham Inmates, especially by Batman’s enemies. When Ingrid was heavily pregnant with Astrid she went into labor when a riot broke out in Arkham and believe it or not some of Batman’s enemies like Clayface, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, Joker, Harley Quinn and Solomon Grundy protected her during the riot & aided in giving birth to Astrid. Unfortunately, tragedy struck when “Batman” threw a batarang and slashed Ingrid’s neck. But was able to give birth before she died. Jeremiah was left to raise Astrid on his own. Astrid has spent an entirety of her childhood within the confines of Arkham Asylum and was isolated from society. Astrid befriended the inmates at Arkham. And because of the inmates Astrid began to hate Batman who she saw as a demon who hurt the citizens of Gotham. She is obsessed with destroying the Batman and obsessively trained herself to be a skilled fighter and sword-fighter. By the time that she was in her late-teens or early 20s she equiped herself with a militaristic arsenal and took up the alias of the Arkham Knight. She also became the leader of a cult called The Knights of the Sun. And it consists of Arkham inmates devoted to ridding Gotham City of Batman. And it was found out later that the batarang that killed Ingrid was thrown by an inmate. And as for Jason Todd, in the comics he becomes an antihero called Red Hood. He’s like Batman except he kills. You should check out the DC Animated films Batman: Under the Red Hood & Batman: The Killing Joke. So that you get a better understanding of what’s happening.
@@drakocarrion the reason why I talk about that is because there’s the scene in that movie where the Joker wears the original Red Hood before he became the Joker. That’s how it’s related to that.
Those DLC campaigns are nice little additions to the Batman Story. Makes me wish there was a whole series of games set between the major Arkham titles.
Aw, I was kinda hoping you'd look up the audio tapes that get unlocked by the Riddler stuff. There's some interesting stuff in there, especially with regards to Arkham Knight and Barbara.
I enjoyed watching your playthrough of all the arkham games! Im glad you are playing the dlc's as well. I dont know if you are into animated movies but theres one called "Under the Red Hood". It covers when Joker was the red hood as well as jason todd taking up the name. Very good movie 🍿
Enjoyed this series so much, all the way from Asylum!! The DLC's are honestly my favorite part of Arkham Knight so I'm really happy to be watching this. By the way, idk if other people have told you but the Insomniac Spider-Man series is sort of a spiritual successor to the Arkham games, specially combat wise, definitely worth checking out some time!
Lovely playthrough Whimsy, can't wait for Portal 2, yesterday i saw your livestream for he first time and i loved it i will try to watch more if i can have a nice day
Well, guess this is it. I've been watching you from Asylum to Knight's DLCs which I think are an incredible addition for the game, specially Batgirl's one. If I had to give my ranking for these games, would be like this: My objective ranking: My subjective ranking: 1- City 1- Asylum 2- Knight 2- Knight 3- Origins 3- City 4- Asylum 4- Origins For me Asylum is my favourite because it felt like an episode of Batman: The Animated Series rather than a big scale thing. I find it one of the greatest introductions to The Batman's mythos, diving deep down in Arkam with its haunting melodies while exploring all her secrets. Same as you, I love the story of Origins, which was very critise at the beggining but with time people started to appreciate it. Not only the main campaign but the incredible Mr. Freeze story in the "Cold, Cold Heart" DLC. City is undisputable the jewel of the crown for the majority of people becaue it does what a sequel needs to do that is improve on the first game. Not a lot to say. Now, with Knight is the one which I may not agree with you in everything. Most importantly about the story of the game because, yes it doesn't feel like the previous two games, the mainly reason being the writer for Asylum and City not being in this one. Even with all of that, in my opinion the story is very good with a lot of great moments and sections, for example the whole beggining of the game from the Café after escaping ACE Chemicals, every allucination with the Joker, Barbara's "death", the three Jokers at Panesa studios, Ivy's death and the whole ending in the asylum. All of that of that without forgetting the amazing side missions, which I agree on you with some of them (Militia and the Firefighters) being lot but comparing with the other ones alongside the Infamous expansion (Mad Hatter, Mr. Freeze, Ra's Al Ghul, Killer Crok) just make this game an a round up experience. In my opinion I found the batmovil as a welcome addition. I agree on you on the Cobra Tanks sections but everything else, the puzzles, the combat and even the racing levels I found them fun and very polished. I found Arkham Knight an excellent ending for such outstanding saga.
These games gave us so many great memories, but it's a tragedy to see Rocksteady fumble in a lot of places.. Arkham Knight def had a lot of cut content, but part of me wishes they brought in Paul Dini to write.
Super glad these games gave me an insight into what kind of player/gamer you are. Your opinions are super different than mine, and even if I don't necessarily agree with them, I still listen and get a new perspective that is highly valuable. It's hard to make a game with the best balance of gameplay elements and story elements that work so well hand to hand with each other that it doesn't piss off anyone regardless if you're playing the game for the gameplay or playing it for the story. (Especially for an entire catalog of games back to back) I hope the Arkham Series has given the same insight for you and others, and I also hope that it carries with you throughout any game you play going forward. Thanks Whimsy
You should finish out the azreal side misson and shut down 1 more militia checkpoint to see the new commander. Outside that looks like your arkham adventure is complete!
Hello Whimsy, Brazilian viewer here. I've been following your channel since Batman Arkham City and today you're completing another series, making me curious to ask you... Are you going to play Gotham Knights? It's not directly part of the Arkham series but the story is very interesting.
If you want to learn more about Joker's origin story Watch batman: the killing joke If you want to know more about red hood's origin story Watch batman under the red hood
Hey I was hoping you would get it by accident but the animation never appeared there is a MGS easter egg in one of the death scenes of Arkaham Knight you should look it up in yt when you can.
And so, it's the end. Looking forward to whatever you start next It's weird to play several games where Harley gets taken down in cutscenes and then play as her and just rip through dozens of policemen. Nobody seems sure if we defenestrated the real Sionis or was it another masked goon like in Origins.
Hey Whimsy! I've been following your Arkham playthroughs since you started Asylum and have loved every part of it. I really hope eventually play Gotham Knights at some point. It's not part of the Arkham universe but it does have some really great moments. It's up to you if you want to play Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League as that game is a continuation of the Arkham games but it's not that great tbh. You could also play the Batman Telltale games as those are really great. But so happy for you finishing your Arkham journey! Also I don't know if you do reactions but I would love to see you react to some DC movies. More specifically there animated movies since I think they are far better than most of the live action movies
In the Batgirl DLC, it's revealed that Harley Quinn drugged a five year old girl and drove the father to suicide. This is the same Harley Quinn that would later give a speech about morality to a brainwashed Batman in Flop Squad. That's why I hate Harley Quinn she never actually faces consequences for any of the horrific things she does. She just gets a slap on the wrist, and that's it. She's not a victim of the Joker. She's just as sick and twisted as him. Those two freaks deserve each other.
@Roler42 I don't know why it was made in the first place. Nobody really cares about the Suicide Squad. Almost every Suicide Squad project has been a flop. Warner Brothers is incapable of doing anything right.
@ Two words: David Zaslav. Even without the trash online elements, the writing is just a dumpster fire, whatever is left of Rocksteady would be wise to pretend that game never happened.
@Roler42 The game was just poorly planned and done. It's like Rocksteady didn't even try. We know they are capable of making great games, which makes this whole thing even more depressing. The game could've been great if they actually tried.
Merci pour cette saga. Avez vous envisagé Gotham Knights en guise de continuité? Même si ce dernier prend place dans un univers diffèrent, il permet de poursuivre avec la Bat family.
Overall the DLCs for this game were fun but incredibly short. The whole relationship between Barbara and Tim was so out of nowhere and bizarre considering that traditional she is with Dick Grayson.

Red hood ,batgirl & Harley Quinn episodes for sure
I strongly suggest you play the beginning of Nightwing DLC again and check out the aquarium. There's a fun easter egg!
No. Gordon doesn't know in the Batgirl DLC that his daughter is Batgirl. If you remember in the main game he only found out she was working with Batman after Barb was kidnapped by the Arkham Knight.
She forgets a lot of stuff lol.

Killing Joke has nothing to do with this story. It's Death In The Family where Jason is killed.
I didn't know that about the whole Arkham Knight character. Very interesting.
@@drakocarrion the reason why I talk about that is because there’s the scene in that movie where the Joker wears the original Red Hood before he became the Joker. That’s how it’s related to that.
@ Whimsy has already seen that Joker was the red hood from playing Arkham Origins
@ True I remember that but I’m just saying that they also show it in The Killing Joke but showing more of Joker’s backstory.
Those DLC campaigns are nice little additions to the Batman Story. Makes me wish there was a whole series of games set between the major Arkham titles.
The batgirl dlc is definitely my favorite one. I wished you heard the tapes and saw the conclusion for the riddler stuff.

I love how in the Arkham games cannon , Harley kicked Nightwing's ass. LMAO
Nightwing is super disrespected in the series
Tbf, she got help from poison ivy 😂

The rest of the audio tapes a stuck behind riddles 😢

The joker deserved better I’m glad no more lol and Harley can now get to be called a crazy ex girlfriend and it would actually mean something hahaha
