@@stevehallflorida nice what time of year is best id love to get a good spot to get them. now that have a gheeno. is there music of a launch or only kayak? ever try behind the new ace on 776?
Hey steve can i please ask what fly line you are using. I fish pine island sound , estero bay and just made the switch to fly fishing. I have a 7wt , 8wt setup and need to line them and there is sooo many options
I use Scientific Angler 8 WTF Smooth Amplitude Infinity Salt I have that on all my setups and love it. I switched a couple of years ago to SA and have found no issues for this area with their lines.
@@stevehallfloridaok thanks for the reply, i was thinking about choosing the same line but the grand slam taper with the little more shorter head. Have you tried that one yet compared to the infinity salt?
No I have not. I have had a few different lines and am super please with SA. I am sure any line they put out will be great. I have used some crap lines in the past that don't hold up to the heat. If you get that line I would be curious to how it preforms in the heat and during the cold months this year.
@@stevehallflorida yea thats what im dealing with, i acquired some reels with line on them and this florida heat made them sticky ,would not shoot ,and tangled constantly. Just a unpleasant experience for just getting into fly fishing. First line i purchased for a 9wt was sa amplitude grand slam smooth and i love it. Then needed line for 7wt & 8wt and decided to try the new sa magnitude smooth with the floating clear tip. The clear floating tip was nice but I think the coating on the amplitude is much better and smoother with less tangles. I think im going to do what you did and just put the amplitude grand slam on all my rods since i know its a line i like. Ill definitely let you know how it performs once winter gets here , hopefully it can handle our cold fronts and the heat
Really cool video! Nice snook on the fly!
Hey, thanks for the comment. Yeah that was a complete mess, but fun. Those usually break off (on me) I can't believe I got that one to the kayak.
Good video Steve. Is this North Port
This one is in PC. These are hit and miss on the big snook but there are always baby poons in them .
