  • I bought those original Game Boy Advance shells on Ebay. The auction was just with photos and you couldn’t really see that there were no motherboards inside them (maybe that is why I didn’t paid that much xD). Still the shells were good + original and the screens were also there.
Frist I disassembled the Game Boy and cleaned everything with some hot water and soap. There were some pretty dirty ones. After drying them I put them into my retrobrighting box. Retrobright is a process where you get the yellow color from the shells. You just need some H2O2 (Hydrogen peroxid) and some UV-lights (and maybe some aluminum foil). It took like 2 days to get rid of the yellow color. Normally if it is just a little bit yellowed it take 1 day.
After all the shells are in good condition and I probably sell them on Ebay for someone that needs a replacement shell.
    Thanks for watching!!
The list below are amazon affiliate links of the tools I used in the video. You don’t pay more for the items, I just get a small cut from amazon. This is a great way to support my channel.

Rather than going to the long process of retro brighting, trying my method. Use sum white king gel and coat the gba shell with the gel evenly in a tub and then just let it sit there for a couple hours. The gel will bring it back to how it was originally. I’ve done it to a transparent gameboy pocket shell and an original dmg gameboy shell. No need for the uv lighting and stuff

So it has to be an led. I tried a regular UV and don't get much results at all. I've been using the sun during summer but winter is right around the corner. So less sunlight there.
