How about not got going to Tunisia at all, cant understand how Brits are still going there, so many other choices that are much lower risk. And I agree the Owner/Operator should go to jail for Kidnapping.
What can the poor people who only work there do for it? I've been to Tunisia 3 times in my whole life. Once in Djerba, in Hammamet, and in Port el Kantaoui. All employees were very nice to me. What happened there is of course bad, but you have to understand the people and their fates behind it. I am sure that the employees would not have bent a hair on the hotel guests.

If your tour operator goes bust they hold you hostage. Great way to help Tunisia rebuild it's tourism. Owner of this hotel should be put in jail
