A lot of rustbell's most notable scores are really hard to come by, and now that they've deleted their youtube videos it's hard for anyone who hasn't been around in the community for a long time to have any idea the amount of stupid shit rustbell has done. A small list of insane stuff that i can remember off the top of my head that are absolutely fucking ridiculous scores: OverDriveTrain A rank, HDNF A rank x782 combo run of Count down 321, Mikazuki [fanzhen's Insane] DT FC, LKs' Flower Dance HDDT FC (first and only dt fc, map ranked since 2011), and Palette [Insane] HDDT FC (first and only dt fc, map ranked from 2010). This is only the stuff i can remember that wasn't included in this video, they've absolutely done a huge amount more. The fact that they're still regarded as one of the most technically skilled players ever because of scores they set multiple years ago should speak for itself.
I come back and watch this video every once in a while. Even though rustbell doesn't play anymore, he'll always be my favorite player. Thanks for making this video.
love seeing more players in more games getting covered. are you gonna do more etterna accuracy players or legacy vids? Foxfire or that dude who smashed that monitor playing Made of Fire would be kinda sick
Do player analysis of old school FFR and/or SM players - how they would compare to today's players, how they impacted the game, and how the advent/adoption/accessibility of new hardware/peripherals may have potentially helped today's players push the game to new heights (mechanical keyboards and their switches, high refresh rate LCD-LED monitors, ect). Keep up the nice work!
U forgot about one thing: he was also ~15 place in osu!Mania World Ranking. Also he was a China's team capitain on Mania World Cup in 2014 (nickname "spro") in 7K category
good video but how is "the lost dedicated" somehow the one map of his that you decide to mention? he has so many more better and even way more popular ones. rustbell is one of the couple players i reeeeeaaalllly wish didnt slow down and quit. ;_;
maybe I didn't get it right but at 1:56 you mention weakness to hr mod and show his GOOD hr score including it's over 2 years old. I mean that map is very hard on hr even cookiezi didn't get good acc with hr (96.69)
I think his point was that he did play some hr mod in some of the maps and there are few impressive plays of course, as rustbell is great player, it's just that he plays hr less than any other mod and that's why etienne explains it as a "weakness." Though It is true that rustbell does have some difficulty hitting hr.
