Echo is a horror visual novel about a small, isolated, desert town located somewhere in the southwestern states. An event is triggered that turns unexplained memories into something much more tangible and dangerous. Chase, a young otter who grew up in Echo, is now forced into a situation in which he must help his friends either face, or escape their demons. Either way, Echo is not keen on letting them go...

Yeah... this one's pretty messed up. I just want an ending where Chase and my wolf boy make it out together. Sigh.

This ending is creepy, and so sad. Leo was so far gone from Echo's influence he thought he was laying you in his bed and giving you a perfect life together, while you slowly bleed out and have nightmarish visions of him finally being the boyfriend you always dreamed he would be.
Wait so Chase dies right there on the bed?! God that has to be the most dark ending I’ve seen to any visual novel I’ve seen

pretty sure TJ at the end of his route watched on the beach chase drowning Flynn in the lake killing him it’s messed up and it’s the main reason why echo imo is such a great visual novel it’s phenomenal! at times it’s cheerful and happy😊and other like these it’s so dark and messed up😰it will either make you scared to death to continue,very angry or cry I cried watching echo/every route beginning to end specifically during the scene where Brian the big drugged up brown bear who Leo stupidly tried to attack while almost dying from him in his route he has chase,Jenna,Leo and the gang trapped and tied up/being tortured in his trailer Brian ends up getting taken/dragged away by an entity? I forget tbh he probably got killed but I think kudzu came through to save them all and I started crying slightly saying YOUR FREE!! YOUR FINALLY FREE RUN GO!! It was insane but Leo’s route like this is always gonna haunt me mentally it’s to me the darkest route for any character in any visual novel ever made.
I bet leo kept Chase's dead body thinking he is still alive..

Imagine your bf/ex wanting to get back together so he makes you stay and cuts your legs while you slowly die seeing your boyfriend crying.

I know people wanted to see chase and leo together but hate to break it to you but some relationships are better off ended rather than try to "fix" it

Excuse me, can I ask you a question? I didn't understand the ending. Is Leo or Chase dying here? Or are they both dying?
Basically Leo pulled chase off the train, chase got caught under and had his legs ripped off, and chase is basically slowly bleeding out while Leo is stuck in his own delusion that things will work out, seemingly unaware he killed chase.

@@lukacarl8871 When I read the ending I was shaking and telling my friends "what the f I though this was the good ending option aaaa". It was really intence and it definetely made me feel things lol
I chose the "We'll work something out" option but immediately my gut feeling told me to rejoin the game and choose the other option and I'm so glad I did, because I didn't want chase to be with leo. Also it seemed to prevent me from seeing some fucked up things in my own playthrough.
I don't even know the reason why I went for the second choice at first because leo's route made me fear him a lot.
