  • I don't know who needs to hear this today, but I had some thoughts that I wanted to share because I feel like it might help someone who might be struggling with some mental blocks, or are in limbo. Joe and I are currently at a crossroads in our lives as well and have some decision making to do. While we "wait," we are still moving forward in the best ways we can. Sometimes all it takes is one decision. Let me know in the comments if you're going through something similar or resonate with any of what I've said. Thanks for watching vlogmas episode 3! You are definitely in the newborn state. We are grandparents, not parents but, calmly watching the struggles of our son's family. Trying to be supportive but not interfere.

You are so sweet to be supportive of your son’s family. Yes I think sleeping through the night or relying on long naps is the next phase of getting out of the newborn stage. Sometimes all I want to do is feel less foggy in the brain…or my eyes to feel less heavy. Things are slowly getting better by the day though. Thanks for watching! ❤

Julie! I love seeing you again, thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings! I can relate!!! I’m trying to get my UA-cam going too and it’s hard! I don’t have many YT friends either so I totally hear ya about there being no manual.
You’re making me miss Chicago! I was born there but didn’t grow up there. Every time I go I love it!
Your friends are so lovely. I’m so glad you got to enjoy some time without your kids! A great refill time. ❤️

Amazing. Congrats on trying to grow your UA-cam channel! Yes it’s super challenging and often lonely because not many people can relate to what it takes…the discipline and stamina. Thank you for telling me a little more about yourself…yay Chicago! ❤ Thanks for enjoying my friends…they’re awesome sauce and so supportive to be willing to be on UA-cam for me.

Ahh totally relateable. Being stuck in limbo is so difficult. I think the important thing is to focus on the present and on things that you can control. And that's coming from someone who hangs out way too much in the past and future. lol

Love this. Had a therapy session where he said that we always have to make sure our mind is where our body is. I try to be extra aware of that now…even in the mundane daily tasks and responsibilities. But agreed…no need to be stuck in the past in the way things were, or too focused and worried about what will happen in the future ❤.

I really love all your content. But totally agree, breaking up the cleaning or task each day make it less of a chore.
I have 3 kids and I'm still trying to find a balance with being a mum and having a life.
Your doing an amazing job, unicorn 🦄

    • @ChefJulieYoon
      @ChefJulieYoon  Рік тому

I don’t know how you manage it all with 3 kids, so it’s not surprising that you say you’re still figuring it out. And breaking up my chores and just accepting I can’t get them all done when I want to has been a big mental shift and game changer for me. I tried to film myself cleaning my bedroom yesterday and the vlog quickly became about why I couldn’t clean it because I kept getting interrupted or had to do something else. So it’s still a mess, but I’m okay with it and I’m chipping away at it whenever I can!

I love how your videos are so real. A lot of bloggers videos are like oh this is my first class flight or something and they’re super rich and it’s like they make life seem so easy and carefree but like then life‘s not like that and a lot of the stuff on there is Just unrealistic from how life really is and most people can’t afford so much of the stuff they do and they make their life seem so amazing and then you just like to show us who you really are and I really like that so thank you

I appreciate that you enjoy my relatability. I hope that resonates in all our videos. I’m glad that you like that I keep things real. It had been hard in the past for me to do that. I felt like I had to present myself and our videos in some sort of way. It’s been freeing to let go of perfectionism.

Super inspiring video and message. Also...just being human and relatable with content is powerful and engaging! When I try to control or be perfect, it never works as well as when I let go a little and enjoy the moment. Loved your friends and how you all were together. Thanks for posting this. Will watch again!👑🏆

I totally agree with you about the letting go and not trying to control everything. I feel like I'm realizing more and more that I just can't control what I can't control. I'm glad you liked "hanging" out with my friends...they're super cool. I probably would've vlogged more, but we were busy just catching up and sharing real life things so I wanted to put the camera down and be in the moment. I'm glad you felt inspired by my random thoughts. Vlogmas has been seriously eye-opening and life changing!

Yeah I am in shock at myself right now actually because nothing changed but my mentality completely changed…which suddenly gives me the capacity to do more and enjoy the moment more as well.

Thank you for sharing with us! I feel blessed watching these, seeing you grow and go thru real life and try to learn and grow and do everything well...and you are! That's what you might not be able to judge. Actually, we're not to judge and not to compare ourselves with anyone else, just ourselves. You are making tremendous progress, you have a beautiful, loving family (yay Joe, you ROCK) and you are moving forward in a direction you elected! You are ahead in the game of life, i think. You are rocking it Babe, relax, keep on truckin' and all that. And, by-the-way, i became BTS ARMY a little over a year ago, and am curious about all things Korean now. I found you while searching for an Ahi Poke bowl recipe, yours is the best, imo. I enjoyed the restaurant meal with your homies the most, since i would love to eat Korean food, but do not know the first thing about even how to call it, but learned a lot from your video with your girls! Thank them for giving consent, i so enjoyed "meeting" them, happy Birthday! Anyway, great video, thank you.

I love that you said you can see me grow because I feel like I have been going through a lot of growth in the past 5 years of being a mom and trying to figure out this UA-cam life. Thanks for letting me know how you found me. I hope you have the recipe a try. I enjoy seeing your comments and thank you for telling me more about yourself…even the fact that you are BTS army!
