    Thanks. I'm in Washington state trying to tell if the previous roommate planted a sumac or tree of heaven. It has tiny berries like yours but they're green. The leaves are in all different sizes with the new ones much bigger than the old ones, perhaps because I've actually been watering things. Some stems are a reddish-brown while others are green. The leaves don't have the supposed tell-tale notch at the base, but the leaves have a faint bad peanut butter smell. There is a leaf on the end. The green stems have a slight fuzz on them but I don't see it on the reddish-brown woody stems. The reddish-brown stems are like a paper over a much more pale layer. Currently about 5-6 feet tall, each plant has several shoots growing mostly straight up from the base. Can you help?
