My wife and I were seated in the rear seat of a coach which had to do several back and fro movements to negotiate a hairpin bend and the rear wheels were several feet in front of us, so consequently when he reversed back, we were suspended over the edge of a sheer drop with the rear wheels at the very edge of the drop. I told my wife not to look out of the window at the void below us. Scary or what. Hats off to the driver that encounters this practically every day.
we live in an ancient nation with narrow, curved streets. unfortunately in some areas the road is even narrower than these (in the mountains, for example, in the Pre-Alps, Alps or Apennines). When driving in Italy, you need to have strength, concentration, patience and a lot of courage, proportions and measures. often some of my compatriots are in a hurry and therefore get angry.
Well first of all you need to forget that such thing as traffic rules exist in Italy. They do, but nobody obeys them. No right of way, no blinkers, you often meet four buses blocking four lanes of a highway going 90km/h and overtaking each other for several minutes straight. Oh, and the behavior of people riding scooters is exactly as in 1:23 - they WILL get in your way every way possible. I once had to slam the brakes on exiting a roundabout in Italy because a scooter driver just decided that he doesn't care that I signal and am turning, he almost ended under my car. So yeah, you need immense patience, courage and mental strength to drive in Italy, because the drivers there are just mad.
They fit perfectly and transport TONS of people on slopes and hills that are torture for pedestrians every single day. That saves tons of fuel and helps a lot of people. You can see the buses are as narrow as a single lane. Traffic jams are only created by unexperienced, impatient and selfish drivers that do not accommodate others. When people wait their turn and drive properly life is piano, piano for everybody. 😘👍🍻

These bus drivers make the best lovers
The best drivers in the world...!

Yo
Maybe they shouldn’t drive such huge ass buses around these areas.

Fabulous views. Bus driver did well on those narrow winding roads.
I agree completely as I have taken the bus from Sorrento to Amalfi. View was amazing. Patience and experience I think was the key.
This driver had a dream run.
Imagine having to go through this a couple of times during your shift as a bus driver every day of your work week 😮!
Incredibile stupidità umana far viaggiare mezzi così grandi sulla costiera .
Gli autisti italiani son tutti bravissimi .
It's difficult to drive round here, but try to imagine how people living there exit their houses... children, pets 😊😱
On foot and not staring at their phones, as any other NORMAL person on this planet! 🤣😂
Great video must be very patient to go back and forth to each travel stop
The ones in Taormina are pretty much the same.
Suka liat begian
Skil driver teruji
I'd have to buy new pants every day before and after work.
You just drive "piano, piano" and everything works itself out! 😁🍻
Muy bueno.
looks so fun to me
Need slimmer buses, methinks.
There is just so much NO in this video! 😮
Make narrow buses simple
Guidare i pullman qua è un'impresa.
wow
is it Electric bus?
No Electric, the Diesel bus Iveco italian
Iveco crossway
Nice
Nice 😋jouhney
Looks extremely stressing. I'm definitely not taking those roads in my life.
Poor driver
its not stressing if you drive slow. if this is stressful for you then you're not able to do most basic jobs in the world.
Cyclists, scooter and motorbike riders are flippin great people aren’t they 😐
Zero patience and empathy. It's why we have this saying: Many people, few humans. 😁🍻
Oh, that is completely normal driving in Italy. Car drivers are the same. If you ever go there, don't go by car, they'll drive you mad.
@@mikosoft I’ll take the Tank then..that way I’ll be the most protected and…I won’t feel the two wheelers crunching underneath me 🫣
Busfahren muss man schon können :-)
Italia
That looks insanely dangerous. I don't think I'd go to that part of Italy 😬
But that's the most beautiful area of Italy
Shame on you
It is all right in practice because people tend to drive relatively slowly.
Italians; Let's use busses that don't fit our roads and create traffic jams ;p

Walk is more dangerous, no sidewalk
Extreme kali jalannya
Some people really want to die while in transportation :(
🤦
No other ways
Normal drive, nothing special and amazing.
just. build. the. roads. a. bit. bigger.
Yeah, easier said than done on those mountain hills. 😁
Most of these roads were made before steam engine.

It's not that special when you realize the driver has been doing this same route day by day for years. Every road has its challenges.
