It's Italy, people still have a social and common sense to keep the everyday running. That's called life. Sad to see people honking all over the world cause they would miss their favorite TV show when they are stuck a few min in the traffic jam.

@@lorenzoazzimiei9814 There are some roads in Washington, DC that doe this. Not because the road is so narrow; rather to add a lane of traffic in one direction during a peak commuting time. Some of the wording on the traffic signs can be a little vague or confusing if you are not from there. So it's possible to be driving along, come to a blind bend in the road, and then discover you are now in a lane of opposing traffic. But, I think you're right to consider this in the Amalfi context. This type of traffic condition wastes so much time...for everyone involved.

I know it may be a silly question: what if busses were prohibited on that road. The bus companies would be forced to use vans that saves 2 feet of width. But one bus would have to be replaced with 4 vans for the same number of passengers. The plus side is that 3 more drivers would have to be hired, reducing unemployment. Everybody would be less stressed and more people would take the vans instead of scooters. Win, win, win!

Sensorized trafic lights in combination with normal signs and basic knowledge. Uphill has always priority. Downhill needs to give right to uphill. Narrow sections need to prioritize vehicles that dont obstruct their side. The sides that get obstructed need to give priority to upcoming trafic + 360 degree mirrors installed at corners to get a better view at this section.
