- Iran is one of only three Islamic Republics in the world. And when you get down to it, you can see how it doesn’t actually function like a republic… but here’s why this matters. For the last 40 years, politics and religion in Iran have been one and the same. It’s the Islamic Republic of Iran. So the main religion is Islam. So you can’t have any other religion other than Islam. So when you are born in Iran, you are told you are Muslim. You have to practice Islam and that’s your religion by birth. Islam is not a choice, it’s what you’re forcibly born into, and in people’s minds: the rules of the government and the rules of Islam are the same thing. There is no separation between the church and state.

Actually for me its the apposite, I use to be a Christian in Iran, i converted to Islam, the problem with Iranians is that they dont understand Islam correctly. Christianity is not complete and many things have been changed inside the bible

I'm an Iranian Ex-Muslim now Christian. I live in a religious city in Iran and I found Jesus when I was depressed and suicidal, he appeared in my dreams for long 30 times now, I prayed to him and asked to help my family and now my family are Christian ✝️🙏. Since we converted, 90% of our problems have been solved. I'm no longer sad and I live a happy life now. I'm so thankful to Jesus because of him I'm now who I am, I don't think I would still be alive now typing this if he didn't save me.

I'm still not 100% sure if everything in the bible is true but there are so many great messages in there that anyone who truely follows it would be a better person that he is now. and that even though it was written 2000 years ago, when people were very violent. Still the bible says to love your enemies and forgive people for their sins.

I am an Iranian Christian, and I reject the very first picture this video portraits for Shah of Iran. His sister was also a Christian. And majority of Iranians Love him and his family. Some of academic elites (lefrists) started to fool public opinion and united with islamists, and that's why Islamic Republic formed. I work with an Iranian woman here in the U.K. She told me she hates the regime in Iran. She loves her country and culture but is fed up with Islam. As is her entire family and their friends. That’s why they moved here. I never asked her if she was previously Muslim or what she believes in currently. I didn’t see that as important. It was just nice for her to know that someone was listening to her. It was really sad actually because I could see how upset she was about the state of the country. I hope the Iranians break free one day.

I am an Iranian, born in a normal Iranian Muslim family, became agnostic and soon after atheist when I was around 14 - 15 years old. Heard the savior knocking on the door in my early twenties. No man invited me to the way of Christ honestly. Knew almost nothing about gospels or anything else really, it was lord's will. I have never been in any kind of church in my life. I like to be able to someday. Hearing others finding the lord is heartwarming.

It was sad to lose the open Iran to the more single minded and oppressive Iran.... leaders can be so short sided.... then again people can be swayed against a leader seen as too decadent which is a result of free leaders indulging in luxury and wealth FAR beyond a comfortable level of proper rule and thus separate TOO much from common people. When I got admitted to the best engineering college of my state Karnataka (India) NITK in 1992, I noticed that most of the top ranked students were from two cities(Bangalore and Mangalore) and invariably most of them were from St John's, St Joseph's, St Philomena, Bishop , etc, all Christian schools!! That's what Churches in India are best known for; for running the best scools/colleges in the country!!! This , in my view, is the strength of the Church , its educational service, not its theology!! Build the best schools in a country and win the hearts!!!

In 1988, I embarked on a three month Top Deck Asian overland bus tour. This bus tour took us through Iran, who at the time was at war with Iraq. Being westerners, (I’m Australian), we were all pretty nervous about entering Iran. All the females on the tour had to cover up, (we looked like nuns) and we had to behave like Muslim women whilst in the country. I was amazed and shocked by the hospitality of the Iranian people that we came across. They were eager to interact with us and wanted news from The West. They told us, how they were forced to take part in demonstrations against The West. I can only agree with what you have said about the Iranian people. God Bless.

I've worked with a few Persians. One time, our Norwegian boss was giving a new employee a tour of the workplace, showing off how multicultural we are (this was in Norway; at the time, we had Lithuanians and Poles and one Sierra Leonese and one Nicaraguan and one Icelander (that's me!) and two Persians and a handful of Norwegians and one Bosniak) and as our boss introduced one of the Persians as "an Arab", she (the Persian) really got quite upset. I used to live in Lubbock Texas. In the 1970’s the Iranian Air Force Pilots trained at Reece (spelling?) Air Force base. Many married US wives and became fast and strong friends with US Christians. When the Ayatollah (Islam) took over, most of these men fled with their families to the US. I worked for an Iranian who flew F-4’s and was getting ready to train in F-14’s. When he fled, he opened a Pizza Inn Franchise. He was a hard man to work for, expecting absolute perfection. I liked him, respected that he was rebuilding a life in the US.
I pray that one day that Christianity will dominate Persia and it will send missionaries to the US and Europe.

As an Iranian i confirm what is booming more is atheism & irreligion. Most of the Christian conversions among Iranians are necessarily done not because of research but mostly to escape from Islam. The speed of Islamic decline in Iran, a country with a population of 90 million, is very impressive. This becomes more intense when it comes to younger people. It can be said with certainty that 8 out of 10 young people have either become Irreligious or completely cold and indifferent towards Islam! Christianity is more attractive to some because of the influence of Western media, Hollywood movies and the overly dreamy view people have of Europe, a place with a predominant Christian majority.

My brother works in Alabama. The FedEx driver that delivers to his office is... Iranian. Married to an American.
I've spoken with Iranians in this country. They said yes, the shah was bad, they said.. And the current government is 100 times worse.
One minor example. A woman was upset at her husband, so she told the secret police her husband said some stuff against the government. She figured they'd rough him up some. He didn't come home. A week later, she went to the police station. They looked up his name, and said, "Oh yes." The receptionist went to a back office, came back with a package. It was her husband's clothes. She looked up in shock, and asked what happened. She was told he'd been shot and killed, as a traitor. So... now she's a widow, with minimal income to raise her family with. She had some serious regrets... but couldn't walk it back. An Iranian I knew, said he went to a traditional shoemaker/repair guy, about 10 years after the shah was gone. The shoemaker was an old man, not far from the grave- he said, "The shah and his father told us who the mullahs were, for decades... and we did not believe them. Now, the mullahs have shown us who they are... and we are in hell."

My story begins like this, I see the Lord's hand from the time of my conception in my life, My Mom wanted to abort me, I was saved due to the efforts of a Doctor who is a Catholic Nun, All my childhood memories are flooded with how I searched for God, I was very much involved in all religious activities but I still did not have the real peace in his heart. I often wondered, “After all these religious ceremonies which I am performing every day, am I in right relationship with God? Is he drawing closer to me? My earliest encounter with Christ was big image of the Sacred Heart, I always felt called by Him, During classes and even at break I used to look at Him, the day His eyes met mine, He never left me, I still was a stauch Hindu, I wanted to overcome my karma by performing devotional rituals, but fear of death and reincarnation had overcome me, the words of Christ to Martha has set me free " I am the Resurrection", I followed Jesus right from I was 11, I was hated by my family and relatives for my faith in Him, but the Lord was gracious enough to take me into His fold when I was 16, I was baptized along with my Mom and maternal Grandmother into the Church. Jesus my Savior, my King my all in all changed my life, there is no meaning to life without Him.

Rather than twisting things to fit a preconceived belief about Jesus(pbuh) being God, it makes much more sense to take Jesus' words as they are. If he(pbuh) says that God is greater than him (and thus they are two separate beings) then I take that as it is.
The problem is that Christians follow people like Paul who never saw Jesus(pbuh) during his(pbuh) life and yet ignore people like James or even Jesus(pbuh) himself.
If you honestly read your Bible for yourself and with an open mind (not just what your preachers told you), you would see that Jesus(pbuh) was a holy Hebrew servant of God and that Christians are still bound to follow the Law.

@@truefaith1718 The name for God is YAHWEH (LORD in caps in English). Allah/Alaha is just a generic title for God, it can be used for any false god.. Muslims don't know the true name for God (Yahweh) which was given to Moses.
Jesus was worshipped, and never told people to not worship him, because he was God manifest in the flesh (Isaiah 9:6, John 1).

I am an Iranian living in the US. I experienced much hardship and bigotry from the Christians here in this country. All I experienced was damnation and being called sinful and not worthy. To me its very abusive to demean a human being and call him/her a sinner the moment he/she is born.
1. I'm sorry for what you had to go through
2. Christianity has denomintaions. Some denomintaions believe that we are all sinners the moment we are born, some don't.
I love you ❤️ you obviously haven't met true Christians who love God and others. I pray God brings them to you that you may see the difference.
I thought that too, being born Catholic, in Ireland. However, I read the New Testament and the four gospels.
Basically, our desires and lust as humans make us all sinners, I understood it in a different way.
Basically we are not doomed if we genuinely repent and pray for guidance.
We may fail again, as we are human, but if we genuinely move to live better and follow what Jesus said.
Thats what he wants.
He would never hang out with the Christians who targeted you.
Unfortunately, due to media, people are manipulated and afraid.
I finally understood why even though he knew the way he was going to die, he still did it as did his disciples.
Because his words were so powerful they were carved on people's hearts.
Since reading the new testament.
I'm 42 by the way and I only began reading it 6 weeks ago, something in me is changing, without religion and just reading the gospels of people that lived with Jesus and what he said and how Jesus humbled himself, sacrificed himself and basically said anyone no matter how bad or sinful beforehand if they genuinely want to change can be saved.
I never thought I would think like this.
But the parables, stories, and metaphors are so powerful that they speak to the heart and make deep sense somehow.
It's sad you met this from Christians or people who call themselves Christian.
I feel they are more attached to calling themselves Christian without actually living or walking the talk.
Jesus was different.
He came saying to love your enemy.
He hung out with sinners.
I don't think any major figure in history spoke such words before him.
It was completely different.
That's what the Jews don't accept him as the messiah as he didn't raise an army and overthrow the Romans through bloodshed.
Yet eventually,
it was overthrown by martyrdom and sacrifice as Christians were persecuted.
The Chosen,
the series gives a completely incredible insight on the gospels.
The words he spoke struck peoples hearts.
Words, not war.
And,
it offers true salvation for genuine repentance and moving towards a better life.
Faith.
I'm praying how to have faith and praying to have deeper faith.
But that series, The Chosen.
It's basically
The New Testament brought to life like never before.
With a few artistic liberties here and there.
I was angry with religion for so long, especially what happened to the molestation and abuse of boys and girls in Ireland and around the world.
I'm even beginning to understand orthadox Christianity a bit more.
They were one and joined with the Catholic Church up to about 1000 years ago.
But one of they reasons they split is they didn't believe one man,
ie. The Pope
has a right to have final say and judgement, and I kind of agree with them.
They do not pander to the cultural environment or agendas of the age.
They I think are the purist form of christianity from my limited knowledge and have stayed more or less the same for 2000 years.
I didn't even understand the trinity, really,
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Having researched it now, I do.
Basically, Jesus was a man.
And yet, at the same time, was Devine.
So he came to live a perfect life as possible to show others the way.
We are not divine or perfect, and he knows this, but he has led the path for us to follow.
The Holy Spirit is a separate entity we may receive after changing our ways and at least trying to walk the path.
But apart from that if there's only two things you do.
Read the four gospels in
The New Testament while watching the chosen.
If you wish.
