Kyra is at the end of the hall trying to get them to move. Mosca is on the right and Audrey on the left. Nicki's filming and Hayley's commentating. The track is built out of K'nex.
Somebody said its cruelty to us guinea pigs to make us run 10 feet for tasty lettuce...But you humans have to go to school for 12 years to make $15/hr. THAT's cruelty!

To anybody who is saying this is animal abuse- We all have different opinions and judgements sadly not everybody else's standards are like others whether they be high or low and in my opinion this isn't cruel they were rewarded and had time out of their cage to play, yes I agree she pushed them a little at the beginning but she didn't hurt them, (they would of squealed we all know how vocal guinea pigs are if they want something or something is annoying them they will tell you!) She obviously loves her animals, after all she took the time to make the thing for them its only like making an agility course for a rabbit and using a harness (so they don't run away- that's why there was sides to the track) we don't frown upon that do we? So I can't see why many people are suggesting she is a despicable owner when some animals are starved to the point of death, beaten for no reason and abandoned, these beautiful piggies are very fortunate and the owners should not be getting called 'bitches' it just isn't fair! No one is perfect... and we shouldn't fight over petty things the guinea pigs probably have great care and more they could ask for they look healthy and happy and enjoyed the vegetables at the end!!
I clearly have offended you but as I stated people have different standards-yours are clearly quite high, I am in no way saying that anybody is wrong or right just suggesting we should consider peoples feelings before commenting, imagine how she feel's this is what fuel's suicide do we really want her to go hang herself or slit her wrists, just for playing with her guinea pigs. And may I add stating what you said 'go die' makes you no better than her, all she did was push her guinea pigs a little, but you are wishing death on me.... I am sincerely sorry if I have offended you but the way you have approached my comment and replied is quite unfair. I can see your point of view and maybe she shouldn't have pushed them but those guinea pigs have a life of luxury when compared to a starving cat, beaten dog or a guinea pig left outside to die in the cold, and just to say I am not stupid.... please do not judge me before you know me. I also have 20-20 vision, so according to opticians which are experienced in looking after eyes (haha obviously) I have perfect vision! As I said earlier I could not care any less what you think of me or my name. I proceed to say, if you still feel so strongly that this is abuse towards the guinea pigs I would advise contacting the RSPCA or an animal shelter and asking for there opinion on the matter, I think this would settle all the arguments. You have replied to many peoples comment's suggesting that they are wrong if they think what the girls' are doing isn't abuse. I don't think that you are being reasonable and seeing both sides of the argument like I have done. You are obviously young if you are willing to swear and say things like ' go die you are so bnlind and stupid' and 'alicia is a fuck Girl name' (all your comments, may I add have literacy errors,) as a mature and responsible adult you wouldn't approach a comment in such an inappropriate way. I don't know if some of the people commenting on this video are trolling or what the fuck is going on, but these girls are NOT being cruel to their guinea pigs. They're just getting them out of their cages for some exercise. That's more than lots of guinea pig owners would ever do for their pets. I swear, these days some people think that so much as looking at an animal is cruelty. Give me a fucking break.

When we were 14 or 15 we had Guinee Pigs too. Right before it was "too cool" to have Guinee Pigs. They were so adorable, and we took such good care of them. Now years later I remember those fat little Guinee Pigs bellys and all the funny little sweet noises they made. The rumbling pigs, the squeeks and brrrrs like a cat. They sure were funny little critters. You can't be around one without smiling and enjoying yourself!

•its fine to force a pig to move (as long as they are aware you're there. you can spook them if they cant see you) its only a minor inconvenience, like scooting a dog off your lap.
•guinea pig racing is humane and already a thing
•they would only hurt their feet if it was sustained walking on grids, really (causes bumblefoot) they pretty much have to live on a grid floor for that to happen
•theyre just being taught to run theough a track/maze. rodents love to do this--it stimulates their brains. don't worry about these piggies, really. theyre good.
•theyre even being given romaine lettuce and not iceberg!
•ive owned 6 guinea pigs and ive studied them for years, and still do even though i dont own any anymore.
*its okay to be worried about animals, but its okay if they don't live "normal" lives.*
also i should note that theyre not hitting the guinea pigs butts theyre gently touching the rump to guide them through the track. it makes them a bit grumpy if you keep doing it but this is a safe way of moving guinea pigs (i think they do it to assert dominance iirc. its good)
I can't reply since I'm on an IPad but how is this cruel? It actually looks like they were enjoying them selves, and it's not like they forced them, yeah, she pushed them but that won't hurt them, as long as it's gentle. Chillax guys, it's not cruel and it's not harmful, if they were hurt they would have growled, Guinea Pigs growl you know..
Ye but it doesn't help them trust the owner if the owner is forcing them into situation sip even if it doesn't hurt them on their body.
It obviously looks like the Guinea Pigs already trust their owners, I honestly don't see how this is cruel, the Guinea Pigs looked fine to me, they didn't even wimp.

I think people think it's mean because the k-nex' are very bumpy and have grooves it can cause a lot of foot problems for the guinea pigs even if they only use it for 5 minutes and that's why they say not to buy wire wheels for them

My guinea pig jump from the ground to the sofa and from the sofa to the ground without someone forcing him. Only by his free will. Thats 40-50 sm high and he weight 1kg. Fragile huh?

Yea extremely late to the party but this is very much not abusive, really the opposite. Pigs enjoy having space to move around in, being active, engaging environments and social time, and especially lettuce. Much better than letting them laze in their cages day after day, these are good attentive owners. Only thing i could pick apart here is that those bars on the ground could've been a minor hazard for their feet, but they seem to manage perfectly fine.

Actually, encouraging a guinea pig to move and get their exercise while engaging with them physically is an incredibly good idea. Timothy hay and pellets need to be available at all times, and veggies given generously. But that doesn't mean they can't be a treat for some fun.

I laughed my ass off at the people who thought this was abuse. Wtf xD Okay she moved his head so he wouldn't try walking through the hole and getting stuck. She gently nudged them, wow as if anyone on here who has ever owned a pet hasn't lightly touched them before. Getting animals out and exercising like this is vital and very good for their health. Keeping them in a plastic bubble away from the world is NOT good for their health or anythings health. There is real abuse going on in the world, and nudging a guinea pig to see if it goes for the treats is not abuse what-so-ever. It's not "forcing" lol, it's showing them something cool.

D'aw! I used to have piggys when I was a kid, they're so adorable.
Adorable piggies! There is no abuse going on whatsoever, I think what people dislike is how they're being treated like toys. Personally, I would NEVER do this but it seems like they're having a good time. The only problem I has are the bars on the bottom. Piggies have very sensitive feet and i would hate for them to get sores.
Maybe they were supposed to jump over them to make it harder.....
there was plenty of room between the bars so I think they walked on the carpet. :)

Your fine. Try to hold them a little more. They will always run because they are prey animals, so don't let the make you not hold them. There is a bond that is formed with piggies, and owner that is amazing. I have one that lives in my bedroom with me, as I am disabled as of right now so she stays with me. I give her a minimum of 2 hours of "us" time everyday.

Yeah, you want it to be curiously wandering about before you start handling it, playing it the sounds of other guinea pigs, racing it, etc. Also, check the height of your furniture, when I first got mine, the hutch we had was on two inch high legs, and they ran under it and stayed there all the fricking time. Had to chop off the legs eventually with a saw...

Try to be calm and quiet, and allow it alot of time to get used to its new home. Its good not to make loud noises for at least a week (like a vaccumm cleaner) and not to touch it often for at least one day. I hope you like your piggies as much as I like mine!
