One of your funniest episodes…thought I’d have an early night and noticed you’d just posted this so I watched it in bed; made me laugh out loud, must be good to go to sleep on a happy note eh? Your channel is one of only four on UA-cam that l click the ‘like’ BEFORE watching, two other biking channels and one dog training. Yes Bonus episode this week... Going for 4.... Lets see if we can keep up the pace. I asked ewa to check my pants but she says she aint falling for that one again....
Oh man can’t believe that about blanket . With the white label on outside easy mistake… I’d 100% done same . And I’ve been camping since I was a kid . Who puts the label on the outside ?! I have thermarest questar -6 sleeping bag It is also green and yellow and yellow on inside . So I’d definitely not have questioned it . Obviously the -6 they say is max it can go down to , it won’t be comfy .. it just means you should live . At zero it’s bloody cold so we use sleeping bag liners when camping in winter . In my opinion it’s a 3 season bag . This really has been a great series and just a massive well done to both of you with hitting the camping challenge with all you had . You totally smashed it .
Thanks so much, we wanted to go straight in at the deep end and make sure we mastered it and not whimp out and go home when it gets tough… I will look into getting one of those liner things too, I think I will need it

Once you go back to the Valencia region you should have a proper paella since it comes from there. For Ewa I recommend paella de marisco - since she likes fish😊 Rich should be happy with Paella valenciana
😆 Fair play for owning up to having the quilt inside out, even though I don't really understand how it can make a difference. I've just bought a Zenbivy bed and hope that only goes one way🤣. I swear by the Flextail pump too, brilliant little gadget. I am so going to miss these videos, they have been really entertaining 😪.
The quilts reflect the heat back into you so yes it’s important it’s the right way round. Zenbivvy is similar to mine and i much prefer it too a sleeping bag
Awesome series. I have had a chuckle with each video. Agree with using the Flextail, invaluable on a camping trip. I used mine on my USA trip and only charged it 3 or 4 times, although I didn't camp every night and mine is just the pump. Keep it up, you two are a gem of a find on UA-cam.

Do the wild horses not bother you in the tents in the new forest? i can imagine waking up to find one has been using the bike as back scratching post and knocked it over whilst we sleep, or come and lay down on the tent lol
Bought that little flex tail pump for my trip. I’ve the small tent, my mattress folds up well, the sleeping bag can be chunky enough folded. I’m extremely new to camping. Kind of worried 😂

Cheers doug, we are here for you to learn from our mistakes!..... and have a bloody good laugh too, thats what its all about really, just having a good time, none of us have to be pros to have a great trip camping
Oh dear! Looks like you'll just have to do another camping trip (Scotland maybe) to try your Thermarest out properly. It's been a really great series, well done for jumping in the deep end just to see what happens.
I love it re the sleeping bag, every days a learning day camping ! Other thing is to make sure your sleeping mat has a good R rating, at least 4 ideally as the cold comes up from the ground !! Great series guys I've loved it 👍🏻👏🏻
We live and learn! Yes we got the best Thermarest matts for the R rating, the best scoring ones they do, we learnt that lesson the hard way too when we first used a blow up bed
I hope you went back to the guy and thanked him for the advise😛. I had to laugh so hard about it🤣. Great story but also great sport to be this open and honest about it. I am certain, this would have happend to me as well😆
Yes, he is a subscriber here, hopefully he will see this! He was so right lol We promise you guys the full picture always, even when we do something stupid!
@@ontheroadadventure There are pros and cons and it will typically be a different way of your present travelling style. Usually camping will be more stationary for a couple of days before repositioning the RV to a new destination and the bike tours have to end at the campsite where the RV is located. Benefit: rainy days are no factor when sitting in the RV 😅 and you may even proceed to a better place 🤫 Whatever the desire for best flexiblity is, there is no golden rule. Btw, your videos are great and I honor the time investment and skill for your editing. 👏👏 greetings from Munich, Oktoberfest is coming soon

another top video. I'd like to see one on how the bikes survived when you get back. Notwithstanding the dick that reversed into Ewa, and you parking under a falling tree...... how did they do? (ps, any reason you didn't switch to kmph?)
Bikes were both good really, Ewas pannier boxes are damaged, we are hoping we may be able to find someone to repair them. we didnt switch to KMPH as our satnav tells us the speed limit in MPH so we just didnt need to mess with it
inside out sleeping bag ,no tipping the glass 🍷 when pouring can u ride a bike 🤔😂😂 if I was going back to camping and abroad may med summer 🌞🏝️ parhaps, Keep at it 😊👍
A while ago you were asking about hand warmers and anything different from the ones you have been using. I’ve been using a rechargeable USB warmer for two years and they are superb. Ocoopa from Amazon I paid £28 the settings are from hot to very hot!! There selling for £24 at the mo You going to the ABR?
@@ontheroadadventure a good eight hours on the lowest setting…use them inside the sleeping bag in a buff or a pocket just to take the chill off and inside a bike pocket when walking around….too hot on bare hands on the highest setting! I’m enjoying my body warmer you recommended a while back…on a recent late night ferry back from the D day landings to Poole and up to Bristol…worked a treat to keep the chill off
Lol No why would i ever have thought to turn it inside out?! Never crossed my mind once, i just pulled it out the packet, and away we go! What a difference it makes when you reflect the heat back in and not out!
every vlog i'm terribly annoyed bij the lop-sided navigation. i couldn't ride with my satnav like that. that wouldn't be a pet peeve but a f...king inconvenience. By the way very nice vids
I got a question? Please forgive my ignorance but I am a technofuckwit when it comes to computers etc!!😊 Why is it that on the intro I've been seeing the fallen tree on the tent for about a fortnight now, yet according to the video uploads it was only a couple of days ago? Or as said, am I just technofuckwit of the week?😂
I always skip to 30sec so never noticed. You've got me searching now. Oh yeah, the video after Rich went to chat with Jesus, that has it in the start. I think they should buy a few lotto tickets!!
They did the tour in April and uploaded every second day since they started the series. So they have been home for a while now, editing the videos and uploading them to UA-cam. Editing of the videos takes a lot of time and it is simply not possible, at least with a good quality, to edit every video the day the material was filmed and upload it right away.
I edited the intro earlier than the Full video was edited as it takes so much time to make the videos that they fall quite far behind real time. A 20 min video takes us easily a day to edit
People say about UA-cam don't have an intro as its wastes the viewers time. I don't have any intros. You just proved that wrong. Such a great intro I've not even watched the video and I'm looking forward to it. Top editing! Thanks
Good of you to share the mistake! It's the sort of thing I would do camping! 😁👍 Great series BTW. Would like to see you go to Eastern Europe, down to Italy maybe. Then Morocco next season maybe? 🤔

Glad you enjoy it! We love so much the idea of people having a good laugh at home with us or even occasionally at our expense! It’s all about having fun and a good time
It’s been brilliant following you , brilliant, great fun and sense of humour, both 🙏
You need a sense of humour to be us! Great to have you with us bud
We live and learn Rich. 😊👍🏍
Everyday...
That Richardisem brought tears to my eyes 😂
Glad we are all having fun right to the end of the trip, that’s what it’s all about
What's yours is hers Rich. Chips too. Oh man I did have a good old laugh at your expense, I'm sorry. Good for you accepting it.
I am with you on the packaging front, why would you need to put it inside out when taking it out the pack etc? Why is the label on the outside?
Here's hoping you had an epic last night's sleep, it was meant to be!
I'm sooo glad I watched your series. I'm only about to do my first camp.
It was a sink or swim plan and we like to think we just about kept our heads above water.... JUST!
Hi Rich. I needed a good laugh tonight because I had to order a new battery for the Tracer today. Thanks for brightening up the evening. Mike.
Your very welcome!
Mate 😀😁🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What are you like 😂
Better finding out late than never I guess though.
Safe trip home guys, suns out in the uk at last 👍😊🏍️
Yes, perfect summary, better late than never!
@@ontheroadadventure Keep up the adventures guys we’re all loving seeing you both 😊👍❤️
Cheers bud
That shure was a trip. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
Thanks so much
I love it re the sleeping bag, every days a learning day camping !
Fantastic adventure loved it am doing the n 2 then off to see my mate in Spain in October
Amazing, you’ll have a great trip and hopefully it will still be warm for you then too
Thanks both
Thanks bud, Ride safe
Lol 😂that is hilarious, poor rich finding out on last night , you couldnt make it up 😅
Who knew! Sounds like a excuse to go try all over again
Further to your sleeping bag oversight, isn’t what you’re calling the ‘foot pocket’ just an envelope to roll it up into?
No these come with a stuff sack to put it away, it’s amazing it packs down really small
Sunday, double nothing! So many 1 liners in this 1!
It’s the opposite of Micky Flanagan’s Double busy… 🤣
Sunday “double do nothing day” 🤣🤣🤣 another great video.
Sounds about right for spain
I hope you went back to the guy and thanked him for the advise😛. I had to laugh so hard about it🤣. Great story but also great sport to be this open and honest about it. I am certain, this would have happend to me as well😆
Yes, he is a subscriber here, hopefully he will see this! He was so right lol We promise you guys the full picture always, even when we do something stupid!
A compact (6m) RV plus a trailer.
That’s all I want…. With our two bikes in the back!
@@ontheroadadventure There are pros and cons and it will typically be a different way of your present travelling style.
Usually camping will be more stationary for a couple of days before repositioning the RV to a new destination and the bike tours have to end at the campsite where the RV is located. Benefit: rainy days are no factor when sitting in the RV 😅 and you may even proceed to a better place 🤫
Whatever the desire for best flexiblity is, there is no golden rule.
Btw, your videos are great and I honor the time investment and skill for your editing. 👏👏
greetings from Munich, Oktoberfest is coming soon
Thanks so much for your comments bud, we really appreciate it. For now the cost of a RV means it’s not a problem we need worry about lol
I always go in July & never booked a campsite yet. I just turn up and hope for the best, every year since 2006. I’ve a 95% success rate😂
Did you just sleep at their front gates for 5% 😂
seems to work better than calling ahead
That’s so funny mate mr 69 was right the missis just check it all-so on the internet 😂😂 you two are brilliant it has been ace watching your camping tour 👍👍😊
Glad you enjoyed it! Everything is easy only when we know how!
If it’s any comfort, I’d have probably made the same mistake with the sleeping bag….😂😂😂
There must be someone else who will see this one day and realise the same thing...
Better late than never, hope you slept well 😀😀
What a difference that makes!!
Great series, you pair are fantastic, keep vloging !!!
Thank you! Will do!
I love you too. You're so honest. I just bought one of those little vacuum pumps so I could vacuum my clothing in those little vacuum bags. It saves so much space.
Did you get the flextail?
@@ontheroadadventure yep, so far you've sold me a heated vest, heated gloves and now this. Lol.
...and we know youll love them all, we are firm that we will not market crap! we get approached almost daily but we will only recommend things we have used and love ourselves
@@ontheroadadventure I have to admit, the vest is very good and so are the rest heated gloves. So I can't complain. My wallet can. But I'm ok. 😆
Im surprised your not on the Firemaple grill yet?! That thing is by far my favourite....
spot on both
Cheers Allan!
Love the beef and potato salad!
You got to be healthy every now and then
Another cracking video, really enjoyed this series
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for joining us 🫡
FYI, a sleeping bag, has two sides, one for heat and one for cool.
Yeah, this is a lesson i just learnt!!
Best laugh I've had in a while 😂 all the best 😂
Cheers Andy!
21:43 lol😅😅😅😅😅😅,never mind you'll no for next time ,take care you two 👋🤠👍
We live and learn everyday...
OMG I'm gonna miss this!! 🤣 Rich why don't you hook up Android auto/Apple carplay when the Garmin get's you lost? What an awesome series this has been 👏
We have been playing with this now to get the apple car play working... Glad you've enjoyed this series with us, its been a good laugh
@@ontheroadadventure I've enjoyed every moment, what a great couple you two make, I can just see Rich Jnr tagging along on a pit bike! ☺️
That aint happening anytime soon, Neither of us fancy trading our Africa twins for Push chairs
@@ontheroadadventure 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 brilliant
Just not our thing that.
12:30 least the tree behind the tent short and looks dead so no worries there yer ,
What are the chances of that ever happening again to us in one lifetime?
@@ontheroadadventure can never be to careful ,take care you two 👋🤠👍
If it could happen to anyone..
As they say, we learn every day!!!
Every day is a school day
Great series, calimoto is the best biking sat nav.
We tried that one but it loved to go green laning
@@ontheroadadventure takes a bit of getting used to, but once you do its fantastic. Plan rides on the laptop, choose twisty, straight or faster. You've probably had it set to twisty.
Ah we dont do route planning, we just go where the wind takes us.... literally some days
another top video. I'd like to see one on how the bikes survived when you get back. Notwithstanding the dick that reversed into Ewa, and you parking under a falling tree...... how did they do? (ps, any reason you didn't switch to kmph?)
Bikes were both good really, Ewas pannier boxes are damaged, we are hoping we may be able to find someone to repair them. we didnt switch to KMPH as our satnav tells us the speed limit in MPH so we just didnt need to mess with it
lol live and learn..you'll have to spend another month riding around to test it out now
I agree 😆
Sounds like a great excuse top go moto camping again soon
Im sure it wont be long before the tents back in action
Sleeping bag . All the gear no idea 😅😅😅😅😅 you crack me up
Who knew! Never considered turning inside out the whole time, why would that cross any mans mind?!
Never wear clothes in a sleeping bag. Your body heat needs to warm the air in the bag. If you wear clothes the air will not warm up
You would think more layers would be a good thing?
🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂 Inside out, or outside in.
Doh!!
Hi. Specifically which drone😊😊
Its DJI Mini 3 Pro, theres a newer one out now too. If you buy one make sure to take out their insurance
15:21 SC SportHolmes mate ,I think there in Wales
cheers
inside out sleeping bag ,no tipping the glass 🍷 when pouring can u ride a bike 🤔😂😂 if I was going back to camping and abroad may med summer 🌞🏝️ parhaps, Keep at it 😊👍
Thanks Eddie, looks like we need more practice.... Better go again
I agree, f@ckin funny videos. New sub here. 🇦🇺
Thanks, Glad to have you with us 👍
I will now ask the non camping question. Love the music you are using could you please give us some details on it.
We pay a company for access to thousands of tracks suitable for youtube due to copyright laws etc you cant just use any music
@@ontheroadadventure it's good music.
Thanks mate
To make you guys feel better. I was riding ( solo ) in a Dry ,36 c in area surrounding Prague, Czechia, today.🥵🥵
Croc on. Cheers Barry 🏍
Wow that sounds toasty!
A while ago you were asking about hand warmers and anything different from the ones you have been using. I’ve been using a rechargeable USB warmer for two years and they are superb.
Ocoopa from Amazon I paid £28 the settings are from hot to very hot!! There selling for £24 at the mo
You going to the ABR?
Thanks John that sounds perfect I will look them up, how long does the charge last
@@ontheroadadventure a good eight hours on the lowest setting…use them inside the sleeping bag in a buff or a pocket just to take the chill off and inside a bike pocket when walking around….too hot on bare hands on the highest setting!
I’m enjoying my body warmer you recommended a while back…on a recent late night ferry back from the D day landings to Poole and up to Bristol…worked a treat to keep the chill off
Yes we love those kemi moto jackets 👍👍
I noticed the acsi sign at campsite you can get an acsi discount card for off season stays
Thanks we will look it up, not really sure what that is
Just Google acsi discount card they have about 4 set prices off season
thank you bud will check it out, that will be very useful for us
OMG Rich your sooo comical, did you not notice the brand name was on the inside 😂😅, at least your last night will be warm
Lol No why would i ever have thought to turn it inside out?! Never crossed my mind once, i just pulled it out the packet, and away we go! What a difference it makes when you reflect the heat back in and not out!
I always use my phone for the GPS side of things.
We are thinking to go back to gool old google maps too, problem wit that is if you lose signal on the road
every vlog i'm terribly annoyed bij the lop-sided navigation. i couldn't ride with my satnav like that. that wouldn't be a pet peeve but a f...king inconvenience. By the way very nice vids
Lol - I will try and remember to straighten it up for you mate!
I got a question? Please forgive my ignorance but I am a technofuckwit when it comes to computers etc!!😊
Why is it that on the intro I've been seeing the fallen tree on the tent for about a fortnight now, yet according to the video uploads it was only a couple of days ago?
So many people have told us to buy a lotto ticket, i actually went and bought one for the euro millions tonight!
Spot on bud, they just fall behind real time. Each video takes the day on the bikes to film and then a day to edit at the laptop
Class 🫣😂🤣😂🤣
DOH!
14:02 plus less chance of no moisture ye
Makes sense...
Ohh mate! But who would honestly say they would have thought of turning it round the other way if it came like that…
Clearly not me!
Ha Ha that's great - don't turn yourself inside out over it though !! Tee Hee.
I’m a smarter man for it now
Can't wait...where are we going for your honeymoon
Lol we gotta get married first.... We will have to find somewhere cheap and sunny to ride too!
👍
Thanks bud
you're welcome my friend
People say about UA-cam don't have an intro as its wastes the viewers time. I don't have any intros. You just proved that wrong. Such a great intro I've not even watched the video and I'm looking forward to it. Top editing! Thanks
Thanks so much, we learned very quickly to not worry about what other people tell you, do what you like to do and see how it works out 💪
(21:00) BTY, you will retain more body heat, if you undressed down to your under garments.
Really? Surely more layers is better?
Any thoughts on a group meet-up?
We haven't come up with a solid plan yet but ideas are floating about, we have been very busy bees of late..
@@ontheroadadventure I can imagine...how long have you been home?
One month.... Well i say home.... we do drop by every now and then to see if its still there...
@@ontheroadadventure 🤣It must be quite strange seeing the comments when we all watch a 'live' episode.
Well its only live in the sense that we are live in real time watching with you guys and chatting in the comments
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤗👍who'd have known!
Well, seems we all get wiser everyday....
Good of you to share the mistake! It's the sort of thing I would do camping! 😁👍 Great series BTW. Would like to see you go to Eastern Europe, down to Italy maybe. Then Morocco next season maybe? 🤔
Last year we did home to Rome, we learnt allot on this trip too about long distance touring, it was another challenge as youll see if you follow the story from the start. This did mean we had time pressure going down to Italy but the return journey was double epic.... Oh and you have to see the drone footage of the Colosseum at night.... ua-cam.com/video/aD6AyYpkvR0/v-deo.htmlsi=E27P4qW7xq9-0c36
