I could almost smell that decadent ragu. Chef's kiss to Philipo. Nothing speaks holiday to me like a full kitchen of family and friends cooking, laughing, and sharing a sip of wine.
Thank you for posting this! I laughed so hard! I love Philip's apron! What a hoot! (And he was a good sport for rolling with it!) The ragu looked amazing! Bravo Filippo! Everyone looked to be having such fun! As did I, just watching!
I wanted to guy that apron about twenty years ago in Rome, near the Fontana de Trevi and my husband wouldn't let me! I never forgave hin for that...it would have been such a conversation piece at some of our parties, or a perfect gift for a dear friend. Glad Stephanie and friends have a sense of humor, my husband evidently didn't.
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful apron! I’m literally crying tears of joy at the absolutely perfect symmetry between phillip and the print on the apron. Today was rather gloomy here in the southeastern U.S. and this has cheered me up immensely! Curtis and Phillipo, you guys are truly a treasure!
my eyes and mouth are watering. I'm giggling so much. I'm 73 years young and I adore all of you. LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE ... along with good company and good food Thanks for letting all of us crash your party!
Hahahaha I never looked at Philip in such a way before! 🤣 So glad everyone has a great sense of humor and sportsmanship. Filippo's food must be awesome to eat each day.
I cannot wait for the cooler weather! I am definitely going to make this. (It is currently summer in Australia.) It looked sublime! And for me, sauces of this type invariably do benefit from a night in the fridge! Thank you for the video. Have an amazing day!
Omg....hilarious that Stephanie pointed out the "tiny waist" on Phillip's apron when we were ALL looking at something a little farther South! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 what tiny waist???
This was so much fun to watch! I just love Filippo! He's so talented, love his cooking and his singing (another vlog). You are blessed with him in your life. My husband cooks as well and here is one of his tricks to not cry when you cutting onions...keep the onions in the refrigerator! The colder the better for your eyes. Hope that helps.
Omg I loved every bit of this.i love all of you so much and having you all together is amazing. Thanks so much for sharing and im really hungry now but I will come back to watch this again after I get all the ingredients to make this amazing dish. Please stay safe all of you.big hugs and much love from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 ❤ 💕 xxoo
Y'all are amazing! Italy has my heart. It was the best trip of my life. I did not know there is pistachio panettone! I will be looking for it, or making it myself.
Hilarious! Philip is such a great sport! Not much seems to shake that man! Love these vlogs Curtis that you share to a little peak into your world. Better than tv AND cable! Cheers, keep it coming pls. 😊👍❤
Curtis, I Ioved the video. It felt like I was there and I wish I were. I could almost smell the ragu which Filippo created... yummy. I, too, am a fan of Michelangelo's "David" and the apron put a little meat on Philip's bones. Curtis, you threw Philip off his game... he missed so many opportunities for puns... like when Filippo asked if he were going to pour wine, a steady Philip would have said "wine not." You have a keen photographic eye... following the garland filled with baubles and treasures, then noticing the Lalande plate was missing (and such a special gift should be on display). I look forward to following more of your creations. Thank you.
I loved it so much fun I almost couldn't stop laughing when Sara didn't even notice Philip's apron which I think is perfect great job picking it out for him.
Thanks to Philipo for that delicious Italian dish it looks delicious, ( Curtis your husband should write a cooking book). Some how I felt like if I was there at the kitchen, cooking with you guys, dancing and at the dinner table. I know this video was a lot work but, is perfect ❤️❤️.
Divine! What a joyous, fun filled vlog! Thanks Curtis. Adored your gift for Philip. 😂 And bravo to Filipo for the delicious looking ragu! Baci a Tutti! ❤️
Wow the Chef, friends, Curtis Phillip, Stephanie, I love this is a wonderful video!!! I love this whole genre. There is Ian? Marie and the ladies, everyone!!! Thank you for sharing, and Fillipo need to have his own show. The recipe looks delicious!!! Thank you Curtis, you filming is amazing!!! Everyone have a wonderful week.!!!
oh my gosh, the pasta and the panettone looked amazing, pistachio cream...what?? I'd be in heaven.....seriously. It like such a fun evening and hopefully you both will get to see stephanie again soon! cheers from ontario, canada
What a complete joy!!!! So many gorgeous people in a gorgeous place and hilariously funny!!!! Having seen Stephanie's version of this, now I understand why she didn't show Philips gift 🤣. Today's task is to seek the ingredients for Filipo's ragout. It looked divine!!!
Fantastic vlog thank you so much Curtis and please tell Filippo that I watched his making of the Ragu very closely and I am making it for dinner tonight.
Curtis, you should start a vlog - you do live in Italy. Your content would be wonderful, with your background in history. Btw, I watched your docs on Egyptian history-so interesting! Love the apron, Philip is really flaunting it! 🤣Cheers from Alabama!
Well done, Curtis! I am going to enjoy your new channel. I am a huge fan of Stephanie's vlogs. There is always an abundance of laughter, love, and wonderful food at Le Lande and you and Filippo make a seamless fit. Filippo's ragu looks wonderful!
Just what I needed, a great, big, happy, party in the kitchen at Chateau La Lande. Lots of laughter too. I almost did not recognize Steven in his London clothes, handsome, smart hat, the Chesterfield coat was wonderful and his gorgeous hair styling. Wow! I've always admired him for his construction/designer work and electrical abilities, but this look makes one look at him as a complex, many sided person. I forgot his talent with mixing drinks. I'm feeling strange and a little puzzled, like I missed a day out of my life, where is Steven and Sharon/Susan? and the big Italian party? I must admit I drank a glass of wine while enjoying this vlog. Thanks Curtis for the great photography and especially the shot of the moon over the forest in the mist. Loved it. Marianne, Chicago.
Hi Curtis ive just been block watching your Egyptian series ,fascinating ,wonderful ,and very beautiful thankyou im exhausted so ill catch this later tomorrow your such a beautiful person inside and out and yes defo you could of made it as an Egyptian pictograph ,xxx
We had an Italian Christmas this year. My Swedish aunt married a lovely Italian man. Every year my Uncle Henry would make lasagna to serve along side of my Aunt Sybil’s Turkey. Because we have no family attend our Christmas dinner we invite all the singles, widows, widowers and folks with no family to eat with us. We do something different and unexpected for our holidays. This year we had my uncle Henry’s lasagna, four cheese ravioli, garlic bread, antipasto and ultimately a Panetone bread pudding with caramel sauce. It was sooo good. I had never had Panetone before, and the box had the recipe for the bread pudding and caramel sauce. I am not supposed to eat wheat or gluten, but I couldn’t resist trying it. My next year’s goal is to make my own Panetone (gluten free version) and make bread pudding with caramel sauce. I’ll shoot for gluten free garlic bread another time. It was fun watching Steph and Philipo make ragú. Such a lovely time.
I have been looking for this for weeks! How not to not cry when chopping onions get a wet paper towel bunched up on the cutting board by the onion the juice from the onion that makes you cry will be drawn to the paper towel first because it is closer then your eyes. You can use baking cocoa instead of sugar does the same thing of cutting the acid
Enjoyed seeing the Ragu being made after hearing about it on Stephanie's vlog! 💜 Curtis let Filippo know that the best way to avoid teary eyes when chopping onions, is to rinse the knife with cold water at intervals 😊 works for me every time! 💜
😁 What a beautiful culinary collaboration! 🍷Enjoyed watching Philipos rustic 🍅Ragu tutorial with Stephanie @ ⚜️Chateau LaLande. 😉Am vegetarian, but it looked hearty & delicious😋. 🍰The pistachio pan dulce from Sicily with pistachio sauce looked decadent too. 😘Thx for allowing us to enjoy your fellowship & feasting while in France. You are such lovely houseguests coming with a car🚙 packed full of wonderful Italian ingredients & gifts🎁. The risque apron was perfectly suited to Philip and added extra eye candy🍬! 🙏God bless you!🕊️ 🥂Happy New Year🍾! 💚 Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
Oh how I wish I was at LaLande with you guys. Such fun and the food prep was entertaining. I bet the food was amazing. Phillip’s apron was hysterical. You really captured hanging out with friends in the kitchen. I smiled and laughed every minute of this vlog. Thanks for sharing 😍😘
Perfect timing!!! I was just feeling château lonely!!!! I love how this is edited…like we’re all in the kitchen.
Philip you put a whole new meaning to HANGING out in the kitchen ha ha ha Cherryl from Canada
I could almost smell that decadent ragu. Chef's kiss to Philipo. Nothing speaks holiday to me like a full kitchen of family and friends cooking, laughing, and sharing a sip of wine.
This video is the most fun I've had all year! Thank you for the giggles, the friendship, the artistry, and most of all, the raucous good time 🤩
I feel so proud that the way I make my ragout is exactly the same way as Phillipo! My Sicilian Grandmother taught me decades ago.
Just watching this made me laugh so much. What a delightful group of people. The apron is just made for Philip. ❤️
That was great! Thanks for sharing that recipe, Filippo. Epic apron, I'm so glad the unsuspecting wandered into the kitchen!
