Absolutely nailed the pronunciation the second time around! That’s why the good lord put erasers on pencils.
We both read this and laughed - good one!
Yum for us #cakeeaters! Thank you Paula and Dale! CAB😊
Seriously, only you two can make watching someone else eat pastries fun to watch. You sold me on all of them. You are adorable and entertaining in everything you do. Thanks for sharing.
OMG such a lovely comment - thank you SO much! :)
Look to the cookie, Dale…Look to the cookie😂👍
Yum! Delicious video today 👩🏼🍳
I love Carlo’s!
Old man they all look so good!
This is the only Vegas vlogger I love enough to sit through all the ads. Can't wait till you guys hit 50k, 100k, subs.
You are TOO kind! You don't have to sit thru the ads - just skip them and watch us!!
Great seeing you two at Chili's. Sweetest couple!!!!
Is this Eddie? Great meeting you also, and we are so glad you came over and said hello! 👋 See you next week, same time, same place? 😂
Paula and Dale… Job well done. Your videos are amazing. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much, we appreciate that :)
Round 2 let's goooooo! 👏👏👏
Love you guys!!!❤️🍻👍🏽
Love your videos. I watch with my husband all the time. Thanks for being the sweetest people ever, you both make my day better. ☺️👍
What a lovely thing to say...thank you :)
@@paulamckenzie 🥰 Maybe one day we will see you both in Vegas🤞
So happy you did bakeries! I loved this video!! You two are delightful.
Great video!!! I’m craving some sweets!
Dear Dale and Paula,
I enjoy all your videos. They have a very polished and professtionical (oops I miss pronounced professional).
All jokes aside, I can understand why you felt compelled to correct and repost your wonderful video but me personally, I would have left it be. Don't give in to internet trolls. They are sad people that are disappointed with their lives and themselves so they set out to make people feel worse than them.
You are two wonderful souls and those of us that are true followers tune in to watch you both for your personalities not just the information and value that you provide.
Thank you so much for this supportive and complimentary note! :)
Dale is a stickler that it should be as good as it can be - since the videos are kind of out there "forever" - so correcting it was the right way to go.
Wow that birthday cake from Freed Bakery, Paula, was incredible!!! Happy Birthday. Good to learn they deliver ❤️ Thanks guys 👍❤️
Freed's really has it together, all the way around. Wonderful well run family business :)
Let’s do it ! Round two! No nasty Comments!!!!!
I still didn't see any problems with the first video!🤷♀️ Too busy focusing on the delicious pastries!😋
@@armenianchik Agree. Not sure what happened. Still trying to figure it out.
Happy that you reposted with the corrections. It was driving me crazy hearing your mispronounced pasty. The way you pronounced it I thought you were referring to striper’s attire!
@@LadiCady Ahh. I was always mispronouncing that word. I thought it was like 'pastry', but without the 'r'. Now I know! 👍
Love the Videos you two. Keep it up! 👍👍
You folks are amazing -- very kind and sincere -- and your videos are all informative and fun to watch! Keep them coming please and try not to let any negative comments bother you.
thank you, such a nice thing to say :)
Put on 5lbs watching the first post and another 5lbs watching the second, enjoyed both xx
Now Pat, watching is calorie-free....it was us who were shoving those sweets down day after day for a week!! :)
Love this video. As you know I am from England and James and I were not worried about how you said PASTY. We love you both. ♥️♥️
And we feel the love Jacqui!!
Hi guys
Enjoyed it a lot. 👍👍👍
You guys are awesome
Love Freeds!
Always love your videos!!
You two are the cutest! Love your videos!
So glad it's back! Yay! Thank you!!
Very good & dale like stawberry & paula like banana too
What a great video
Thank god you reuploaded this gem
So glad you liked it! It was my idea, and if you call it a "gem", then I think I done good!! :)
Glad you reposted the video. You guys are great! Unfortunately I feel I gained 5 pounds watching this video. 👍😍
LOL watching a video involves ZERO calories!
@@paulamckenzie ❤️
Freeds is great been there 3 times. Dale, you didn't have to redo the voice over. We all appreciate everything you do. Thank you!
I love that bakery, what a beautiful birthday cake, I'm moving in there!🤩❤
Or at least live next door...
Wow that was probably the sweetest video yet 😁💛👍
LOL it was meant to be that! :)
@@paulamckenzie , Paula their is a company called goldbelly and you can order those cakes and goodies from carlos bakery I keep going back and looking but I definitely want some of those cannoli they look delicious. 😋
You guys always make great videos thank you for all you guys do. To bring everyone a little las vegas our week.
Thank you for the lovely compliment. :)
I also loved the lil french bakery at the paris hotel😋
I love it too! It was tough to pick only 4, but we definitely wanted to feature the two home-grown ones. Will have to do a Bakery Tour II sometime :)
A lot of hard work, nicely done!
Love you two, loved this video!!!
Aw!! you didn't have to do a voice over but that's so nice of you to re-do it. Can you do a "best donuts" in Vegas? That would be interesting. thank you again!!
Sure, will add to the list. :) That will be another case of overindulging in the sweets, all for the good of our audience lol!
What a great job you two do ! I truly enjoy the research in the history on everywhere you go , so interesting and always makes you a must watch. Looking forward to your next one, thank you!
We love giving you a bit of history on any topic, if we can. :)
Glad you decided to repost. The wife & I are heading to Vegas soon & binge watching your vids, to get more ideas on where to go/dine. Thanks for all your hard work & dedication to making quality content!
Ohhh we have given you SO many ideas and options, you'd need a month to try them all lol...
Hope you have a wonderful time while you are here!
@@paulamckenzie Thanks! Yes you have! Good excuse to make more trips out there. You folks take care & stay cool.
Shout out from new followers, Danny & Linda, Love your info.
Thank you so much for joining us! 😊
Thanks for reposting. You're the best!
We enjoy and love your videos and are always looking forward to the next one. We didn’t even notice any mispronunciations… you are perfect in our eyes. 💕💕💕
I'm sooooooo Happy you and Dale tried Nothing Bundt Cakes!! My favorite is lemon raspberry.. Those cakes are a Slice of Heaven in ur. Mouth! 🤗😊🤤U guy's are incredible..Thank u for sharing..
That was one of the Bundtlet flavors I picked - incredible flavor!
Glad you put this video back up!! We really enjoy all your videos
I am glad that the video is back!!
Thanks for re-posting! I was on vacation when it first went up last Sunday, so was busy doing other things. It's great to see the places that are not downtown or on The Strip and that we otherwise might miss. These are definitely worthy checking out, especially if your sweet tooth needs a fix. Now I don't know "Seinfeld" episodes as well as Dale, but I do know one memorable quote from the series that I will put out there for Dale: "They're real.....and they are spectacular!"
LOL we were just quoting that line, spoken by the spectacular Teri Hatcher, yesterday!!
Im so Happy to have the video back, such a great work
Wonderful video! I enjoyed it very much. I had no idea all of those wonderful bakeries were in Vegas. Love all of your videos and look forward to Wednesdays and Sundays!
Thanks so much - we love that people look forward to us posting videos, that still amazes us!
I love it when you put the spotlight on local businesses. Each of these bakeries has plenty of amazing baked goods. Nice video. Excuse me please. I need to inject some insulin after watching this sweet video! Yes, I am diabetic due to my lifelong affair with anything sweet 😄
LOL watching somebody eat sweets is safe for diabetics...! And we too love to make you aware of some of the cool local things we have, that you might otherwise not know about.
As an Arizona native, I'm very familiar with Cornish Pasty. Boy do I miss that place! Great video!
And I understand they have Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert, that we cannot miss next time we go there!
Really enjoyed this video, I was salivating watching you eat those cakes! lol
As you were meant to...and we are sure hoping you can actually get here sometime so you can sample for yourself!
Oh...my...goodness these treats looked amazing!! Thank you so much for reposting. We absolutely love your videos! xoxo
Thank you Clare - we love that our videos make people happy.
GLAD TO SEE THIS AGAIN THANKS
Sunday is now Monday good to see the video back up and love it.
Love this!
Thank you for reposting! I will definitely be visiting Freeds when we visit Las Vegas! I really enjoyed the vicarious tastings!
I love Nothing Bundt Cakes. Everything else looked so good too!
Yum! Thank you. I’m in NJ and know to visit Freeds!
Paula’s birthday cake was so pretty and the roses on top were beautiful. The pastys looked so yummy, definitely something that would be fun to make on Paula’s kitchen. You two are the best! Glad you reposted it.
LOL those pastries are above my pay grade on Paula's Kitchen...
And yes, that birthday cake was exquisite.
Love watching your videos! You two truly make my day!!
Oh what a nice thing to say....thank you :)
I loved this video!!! Sweets shown by two “sweets” that we all love!! Of all the goodies we saw, I’m over the moon for wedding cake!!!
Thanks for everything you do, it’s one of my favorite channels!!
Aww thank you so much for this lovely comment. :)
Great video! Can’t wait to try these places. Xx
So today we heard that the UK is going to let us in...but the US isn't letting you in...sigh.
Can I overnight you a care package of pastries???! :)
@@paulamckenzie Ha ha. Yea we’ve accepted that we won’t be back in Vegas til Christmas 2022. We have a trip booked to Germany, Austria and Switzerland in March. Let us know if you’re coming over. Would love to show you around here. Xx
Yay! Bakery tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love Freed’s! I had one of Jeff’s birthday cakes made there. They’re amazing!
I told them I’d love to have a cake with The Tube sign on it - it was PERFECT! ⭕️
And, seriously with the grammar police. 🙄
LOL well luckily we have put all that behind us...wayyyy behind us! On to next week's topic.
And I have never heard anything but rave reviews about Freed's...a well deserved fabulous reputation.
I like getting a whole plate of goodies & taking bites. Soo yum🤠🧁🍰. The pasty reminds me of the Mexican empanada. Lunch in your hand. Houston has the bundt cake and we luv them. Great idea for snacks Paula. 😻
I do too - that's why I buy one of everything! And you are the second person who compared the pasty to an empanada - similar idea, the whole meal wrapped up and eaten with your hands.
awesome Thank You think I will try Carlos when in Vegas next week. Hope they have good coffee also.
Well I also sent you another recommendation for your coffee and pastry - hopefully you got that :)
@@paulamckenzie yes Mam I got we are going to try it also Thank You so much
Glad to see you got this or you reposted this! Watched it last night elsewhere away from my own computer and love it. You guys are so good.
Thanks Kathleen - you guys make us want to be good!
Oh my! I immediately got hungry and my insulin shot up as soon as I walked into the door with you at Freed's! Dang did you say 1959! Finally, something older than me! All of these bakeries were awesome, but the place I really want to try is The Cornish Pasty Co. I loved the history you presented, and those pasties looked so good! Those are some very iconic places in Las Vegas. Thank You so much for sharing!
We agree - there ARE some iconic places in Las Vegas, you just have to look a bit to find them. And watching you, and seeing the kind of places you eat at in your vlogs - the Cornish Pasty Co is gonna be a treat for ya.
@@paulamckenzie OH yes! I agree! But I need to get Dale to narrate. He is so good! Love you guys, and you, Paula, are doing a wonderful job filming!
The minute you showed Carlos bakery joey went on his phone to see how far it is, we now have Friday night plans to make the drive 😅😅. Loved the video as always, can't wait to try one of the local Vegas bakeries. 👩🍳🥧🥯🧁
We know you will, when you are here in a few months! It's not far to the Grand Canal Shoppes, from where you'll be staying. :)
Love Nothing Bundt Cakes in Colorado, and every flavor is awesome!
Hear hear...I agree!
My residence in Vegas is not far from Freed’s-When I’m back in N.Y.-I’ve been to Hoboken N.J.-to visit Buddy Valastro’s bakery. Both places are terrific.
I bet the original Carlo's is pretty awesome!
@@paulamckenzie And Expensive!!!
I love Cornish Pasty Co. In fact, I ate there two days ago. My favorite there is the Chicken Pot Pie pasty, but I’ve tried about seven or eight of their different pasties, and all of them were good. Whenever I try to explain what a pasty is to people, I tell them it’s like a giant empanada with dozens of different possible fillings. Freed’s is my favorite bakery in the valley. My favorite there is the Black and White cookie. I have never tried the Black and White cookie at Carlo’s Bakery before, but it is now on my list.
Thank you for adding your own endorsement and recommendations to ours - we love when viewers do that! I admit, I am partial to chicken pot pie, and if it hadn't been the first visit, I would have tried that one. And I agree, if I had to choose, I would choose Freed's as my number one too.
Dale as a New Yorker you pronounced black and white cookie correct
OMG I just saw this - HILARIOUS!!
That was such a Tasty Video, everything looked delicious 😋, We got our Wedding cake from Freeds bakery when we got married in July of 04 , it was a delicious Carrot Cake, . So happy to see this video it was Delightful , I just Love watching your videos 🥰🥰🥰Love to Both🥰🥰🥰🤗🤗 Many Blessings.
Hi there Joy - wow we are hearing from our viewers about getting wedding cakes from Freed's, and it just warms our hearts.
You didn't mention the aroma as you walk into Cornish Pasty. WOW! It smells amazing in there. This place is one of the best values in the Arts District. And you can get a 5 or 6 dollar Irish Car Bomb.
You're right - I should have said something about that, because they had just opened and the pasties were in the oven, it was amazing. I agree, it is a hidden gem.
Watched this one again! Wish there were bakeries where I live and not the ones in grocery stores.
Neighborhood bakeries were a common thing when I was growing up, and then they seemed to be lost with the big box grocery stores. But, at least in our area, they are making a comeback!
Wow, thank you so much for this video!
First of all, Carlo's has been on my bucket list for years and I still haven't made it over there. I need to try one of those lobster tails!
I had no idea what a pasty was so it was interesting to learn the history behind it.
We have a Nothing Bundt Cakes in my area, I didn't know it originated in Vegas! I love that scene in My Big Fat Greek wedding with the bundt cake and the mom "fixing" it haha
Finally, I'll be getting married in Vegas and I've never heard of Freed's, I'll be looking into them for our cake!
Hello Ronnie - thanks so much for watching, and writing. :) We are glad you enjoyed all the bakeries, because we totally admit we loved making this video!! Yum. As for Freed's: good plan - big thumbs up - and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
All those goodies are so pretty…and I’m sure just as delicious😋!! Y’all looked like you were having a lot of fun making this one 😉👍! That Pasty looks incredible 😋😋! Gotta try that for sure! Thank you guys for sharing❤️🥰❤️🥰
It was fun - kind of impromptu on the tastings, but we have a very forgiving audience lol so nobody minded! :)
Yum, yum, yum, and more yum! We’re adding a couple of those to our list when we visit next month. So glad to see this today!❤️
Fantastic video once again Paula and Dale! Pasties are very popular in my homeland Australia too. Had no idea about this place in Vegas you've shared! I find that in the USA where I now live, the cheaper quick lunch or dinner available everywhere is the burger or hot dog. In Oz that's of course available everywhere too, but even more popular are pies and pasties and sausage rolls. Cheap, tasty and very effective! I've GOT to try this place in Vegas, thanks for bringing it to our attention. Great to see more of what's around and FROM Vegas!! I've also really gotta try those Bundts! Thanks for sharing all of this! 👌👍😍
It was our pleasure, believe me - this video topic was my idea and I enjoyed going to these places immensely! The Cornish Pasty Co was a wonderful surprise, and I literally went up to the cook on my way out, and told him it was one of the best things I ever ate.
@@paulamckenzie How awesome! Thanks for going out and finding these gems of places so that...WE CAN TOO!!!
Wow, I was so excited to see this one! I know Freed's. Born and raised in northeast Ohio, my Mom, brother & sister all lived in Las Vegas in the 80's for many years. My brother's wife actually worked for Freed's and introduced me the goodies when I visited. I thought it was the best bakery ever! Thank you so much for sharing your experience's with all of these with us!!!
Great story - and I too am from northeast Ohio, though nobody ever introduced me to Freed's back then lol!! And I happen to agree: it is the best bakery ever.
I love “Nothing Bundt Cakes”! We have several in the Phoenix area and it’s one of my favorites!
I am a terrible, terrible baker so I have great admiration for those who do it well! 👍👍And I LOVE that there's a pasty shop! They're part of the history up here in the Upper Peninsula in Michigan. The men would take them down in their lunch pails into the copper mines. Those look spectacular!
We have heard this from several of you, which we find fascinating. First of all, that we have so many viewers in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (really thrilling), and second, that you have a rich mining history like that.
@@paulamckenzie Well, I live in southeast Michigan (Ann Arbor/ Detroit) but the UP is GORGEOUS! So much love for that land. ❤️❤️
Yay glad it’s back up! I like that you give the history of the pasty too! Much love from the U.K. to you both Paula & Dale, you’re wonderful!xvx
We think the history is the best part - and the enlarged framed photos on the wall of the restaurant were fabulous. We just had to feature them.
@@paulamckenzie yes definitely! You both do such a great job!xvx
I'm so glad to know about Freeds now. It's going to be perfect for getting a box of pastries for our annual girls weekend in the spring! Adding it to the dinner we're having at The Bootlegger. Thanks 💕
LOL we love it that you follow our recommendations Denise!
You're making my planning so much easier, and presenting new things, so I don't just redo what we did the last trips. I was so bummed to learn that Rose, Rabbit, Lie closed permanently. We'd planned to go so many times, but never made it. So now I'm researching other supper clubs. I thought it might be a fun group thing to do. Our gathering isn't till May, but I like to get a jump on things 😸
You two ought to be tarred and feathered in the Public Square. How dare you eat all those delicacies in front of us without even offering a bite? A morsel maybe? A crumb or two perhaps? The gall of you is shocking. Here we are drooling and panting watching this wonderful production as you gain pound after pound and we are crumbling away like dust in the wind. This was hard to watch ... had to run to the nearest bakery after your vid was over. Thanks for the extra calories and upping the sugar count. Looking forward to the next masterpiece.
LOL we plead...GUILTY!!
Loved this vid, can’t wait to try Freeds.xx
And who doesn't luv cake 🎂🍰🎂🍰🎂🍰☕☕☕ and a pasty!!! This video was super fun (geez no pie for Durango Dale so maybe next time.) Enjoyed this Dale n Paula and thanks for "taking one for the team" - ha! 💯🎹🎶🎼🎵📸🎬💡🌡🌞🌟🔥😊😉😎🙂🥰🤠💏👋👌👍🧡💥💫🕶
Well Rose, I think I am gonna have to make a pie on the next episode of Paula's Kitchen...I am feeling awfully bad for Durango...
@@paulamckenzie - you are just so kind to Durango Dale 😊🤭😉
Yummy!!! Coming in October this year and would love to try some of these!!!!!
Hit up Carl’s donuts , great tasting donuts 💪🍩🎰 excellent video btw ❤️
OK so someone else suggested we do a round like this with donut shops - will do :)
Great job you guys did :D Just as usual. Though unlike my wife, I'm not a fan of pastries, I might take her to taste some of your recommended places. Greetings from Hermosillo MX.
I hope Paula had a great BD btw!
Hola Juan, en Hermosillo!! Dale's not a huge fan of pastries either (he'd rather have a potato chip or pretzel lol), but I love all the sweets. Sounds like your wife is a fan too. :)
We have a Nothing bundt Cakes here in our area, and Tommy and I have been dying to try them! Carrot cake is my favorite and we've heard theirs is the best!!!! I also think I'm going to attempt to make a Cornish pasty since there's no where in our area to get one and the one you showed looked amazing!
Great video! Thank you!
You will NOT regret trying Nothing Bundt Cakes...you may find yourself going back often. :)
@@paulamckenzie I can't wait!
#Fact: The online grammar and pronounciation police have zero worth in life.
Thanks for reuploading!
👍
Love this, and love that it got over 20 thumbs up!!
Definitely have to check out those bakeries when I’m in vegas! I go to Carlo’s every time and I get the cream puffs and cannolis! Last time I went they didn’t have the hazelnut , but it’s definitely my favorite!
I love that our viewers have been to these fine establishments, and have their favorites!
Wow, I got a sugar high from just watching this video!!! They all look to good, but I think the strawberry wedding cake would be my pick!!! Thanks for a Great Video!!!!
That cake was exquisite - and that was the flavor of my birthday cake with the roses as well.
I did not know that Freeds opened up a place close to me, as well. Yippie. It seems to be on the north side of town, all the good food is 30 miles away. I wish we could get a TJs. Just two in Summerlin and one on Sunset in Henderson. Maybe with Valley Vista growing, other companies will look seriously on the North side for expansion.
Cake review, crummy (lol), I thought it was swell.
We agree Kevin - having just recently left the north end of town (we were on the edge of NLV), the good food didn't seem to be anywhere close by. It's lots closer to us now that we live on the south end.
The cakes all looked so yummy and I need to check out the Cornish Pasty Co next time.
Leave the gun, take the cannoli
