Fun fact: the south park creators made a broadway musical called the book of mormon, i saw it and it was amazing
I did not know the South Park peoples made that
My sister is going to see it in NYC with her boyfriend in a few days. I envy her
i'm a performing arts student at university and have performed a few songs from it for assessments etc, it's ALWAYS a blast
THEY MADE BOOK OF MORMON?!?
@@rindoodles5956 yeah
Fun fact: canonically, in South Park, only mormons go to Heaven.
As established 3 seasons before All About Mormons in Do the Handicapped Go To Hell and Probably
If my remembrance of South Park upholds...it was Probably that solidified this. :)
Also in the game "The Stick of Truth" whenever you die, there's a few mormons ready to welcome you into heaven@@aplive58
And sadam Hussain

You guys need to watch the Scientology episode. It’s so crazy that Matt and Trey had to put text on screen to say they were not exaggerating or making anything up.
The first time I watched it, I thought they were just mimicking the Mormon episode and that it was all made up instead. Then I started actually reading books about it...
@@toxictimeless6655 Except none of the Mormon stuff is made up, either.
@@LeChaunce I know, I've read a bunch of books by FLDS survivors as well. That's the point. I knew the Mormon stuff was real but the Scientology stuff seemed absurd enough that I just thought they were parodying their own earlier episode.
@@toxictimeless6655 Gotcha. The way you phrased it, I thought you meant you thought Matt & Trey made it all up.
@@LeChaunceLearn to read lobotomite
Critter Cristmas was written in a day. they were just getting done with a movie and some other projects and it was Christmas and they were on the fence if they were even going to have an episode. They really didn't want to release a half ass christmas episode so they weren't even sure if they were even going to have an episode on time period(first time they would have a late release since they started the 1 episode a week schedule) So they threw one together as fast as they could and it evolved as they made it, only at the last second did they decide to make it a story that cartman was telling that way they could make it outrageous and have this diabolical plot and actually work it into a "christmas" episode but still bring it back to reality at the end. Thats why all the characters are named like "beary the bear, rabbity the rabbit, foxy the fox." so on so forth. because it was written, produced, and edited in like 36 hours or something ridiculous like that lmao!
thats how they started the show, on super narrow time frames
If I'm not too much mistaken I'm pretty sure they had just finished Team America when they did the Christmas Critter episode
honestly i'd love for you guys to see more south park
Yeah hopefully in order
@@thecluckster3908they don’t need to watch any episode in order unless it’s some of three-parter episodes or the seasons when garrison decides to run for president
@@AWEhardy no they make plenty of callbacks to previous episodes, plus I think it would feel tonally off jumping from a simple season 2 episode to like a season 15 episode.
@@andykishoresothertvstuff5759 it’s not as big as some other shows they’re reacting to. And as long as they get past the tegridy part without being too bored it’ll be fine
@@thecluckster3908 that makes sense but also most of the callbacks are just callbacks they don’t really add anything to whatever’s going on in that episode outside of knowing the episodes probably happened like days apart from each other
07:05 the fact they literally made a kid recording this line is freaking sending me 💀
Oh that's nothing. Trey parkers actual daughter voiced Ike. Seeing her swearing was soo funny
The Mormon episode, while obviously ridiculing the teachings, does accurately recount their beliefs. It’s an… interesting religion.
I think it’s super accurate to the way they talk and act too. I grew up a Jehovah’s Witness which is similar, and I’ve met a lot of Mormons, and they all talk with that unsettling extreme positivity. The Book of Mormon (the musical the creators of the show wrote) portrays it really well too
@@Richie___Rich JWs beliefs are WAYYY different what are you talking about
@@SSantanapng I think he meant in how they act. Which I can also agree with I spent some time around them as my dad converted over when I was 16. They are super insanely nice on the outside, but are some of the most vindictive and manipulative people on the inside. Plus they are just as bad as the catholic church at hiding pedos.
@@DivusMagus Wrong 💀
@@SSantanapng would you like to tell me what part I am wrong about?
You gotta watch more South Park. By far one of my favorite comedy shows of all time
Canonically Mormonism is the only religion that gets you into heaven in the South Park universe.
Probably because they were generally nice people, they had no hate.
If my remembrance of South Park upholds...it was Probably that solidified this. :)
@@LXW-Arts It's because, in universe, Mormonism is the one true religion.
The controversal Part of hell Episode was crocodil hunter. He died only a few days before this episode
Well it happened. It finally happened. Ruff has finally spit out his drink while laughing…
One of the creators dated a member once and i think said out of all the religions they respected LDS a lot. Which is why they jokingly make members the only people in heaven.
Info they depicted is either done or over exaggerated and out of context to make it more funny than how it happened. There is a UA-cam channel called "saints unscripted" that explains beliefs in a simple way
Yall are much more enjoyable than spilling the Milk.
Personally, I love Randy Marsh, he's my favorite character in South Park
I thought I was gonna make $30,000!
Ex Mormon here! Yes all of that is true. Every second of the episode is true.
I got Mormon confused with Amish folk
i like how reading a book out of a hat is stupid yet a man splitting the sea or a dude getting two of every single animal onto an ark is widely believed as fact
@1:22 “I love me a good Christmas episode” All of Us: HE HAS NO IDEA WHAT LYES AHEAD
The Mormon episode can't really be banned, it just tells Mormonism the way Mormonism is.
As a member of the church, I can confirm this lol. That family is almost an exact copy of my past someone's family who are over the top religious/self-righteous😂
Ex-Mormon here, South Park did pretty well on their episode (as crazy as that sounds). The early Mormon Church (and to an extend the modern Church as well) was quite racist. The Story of how the Book of Mormon was translated was unironically the exact way they showed in this episode. I am not shitting you, he did, reportedly, read out of a hat the whole book of Mormon (minus one of the books in there, which was allowed to be translated by another one of the translators there despite God telling Joseph Smith not to. The translation failed and a whole chapter of the Book of Mormon was lost forever). You're also right about Mormons paying the church, there is a Tithe that Mormon's are supposed pay that's usually 10% of your remaining income to "help support the church, spread its messages, and support the missionaries." This is notably optional, but many people will think less of you if you are not able to manage it. Although many Mormons won't say it to your face (passive-aggressiveness runs rampant in the church).
They're also right that many, many Mormons aren't actually that involved in the Church and it's deeper teachings (which get even crazier then the stuff that gets shown here, for anyone curious look up Space Doctrine and the Mormon Afterlife) and instead they focus on the very basic teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints (the Mormon Church's full name, officially shorted to LDS). Those teachings mostly focus on treating others well, learning basic skills, a sense of community, and an afterlife that is often viewed as hopeful since even the worst (basic) afterlife is still not all that bad, and you can even redeem people after they die (yes, you can baptize the dead in the LDS church, and it is an common activity for many youth groups to undergo, these are usually called Baptisms for the Dead in official talk).
Personally as someone who left the church (with much of my atomic family following suit in the next few years afterwards) I don't view it as all bad. It does legitimately teach some very solid things both directly, like teaching kids to share and to care for people in need, and indirectly through things like the Boy Scouts (who up until only a few years ago were directly under the Mormon Church), but the Church is undeniably cult-like, and borderline predatory in its conversion techniques, especially so with their Missionary program that sends out thousands every year to teach across the globe about the LDS Church.
But I digress, the LDS Church isn't all bad in theory, but the actual institution is built upon many flawed things, both in the past and in the now, that made me want to leave it 7 years ago. For any current Mormons who are wanting to know things I urge you to read up on the Church's history and flaws. One amazing resource is the CES Letter. In any case there are plenty of more Mormon related episodes in South Park, plenty of which I expect will show up in these compilations later on since they can get pretty crazy at points. The main writers of the series weren't Mormon's themselves but they grew up with a close friend who was Mormon and got many of their sources directly from them, so they got a lot of things right, and they even made a Broadway Musical that I personally adore (simply titled The Book of Mormon) that, while it might not work for a reaction video, is fantastic and I would recommend a watch if you get a chance.
Thanks for the great reaction, you guys are great and seeing the craziness of South Park with you guys is fantastic, looking forward to more!
Maybe Satan changed his mind in the end, but kinda funny that Steve Irwin couldn't stay at the party because he didn't have a costume but Biggie could.
Everyone goes to hell in South Park, unless you are Mormon or Kenny.
The timing, i’m literally playing the south park games now
The first one was so good. Haven’t gotten to the second one yet
@@Sethbandy i’m playing the 1st one and it is really fun, but i think from what i’ve heard the second one has better fighting mechanics but isn’t as funny, but idk it’s just what i’ve heard from people
Bundy, Gacey, and Dahmer as the three stooges is actually a really funny bit that I wish they had as a running gag.
Interesting fact. In south park, mormans are the only ones who get into heaven
I need more.
For Boom; the episode where Cartman finally gets what is coming to him is the season 12 episode "Breast Cancer Show Ever"
Thanks for all the awesome content, looking forward to another year of it!
Thanks and also thanks! We'll add it to the list of episodes to check out.
The Halloween episodes I remember off the top of my head are Pinkeye, Spookyfish, Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery, Nightmare on Facetime, and The Scoots
So fyi If y'all haven't you definitely should playthrough Stick of truth and the fractured butt hole games
5:58 The way he says that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
korn's groovy pirate ghost mystery is a halloween episode. so is spookyvision. they're both excellent
oh boy more south park this is going to be great
Hell yea more south park

This part had me crying
My family on Christmas in 2016 also invited a Mormon family over for dinner because they were just that nice (ironic how the same is in the episode) and they were very happy people, like really happy. We weren’t aloud to bring up anything slightly violent as it goes against there beliefs. They were super nice but almost in like a creepy way of nice. Also, they roam my neighborhood trying to convert people in buttons up and bikes, they seem to try and convert more than Christians
Dammit What didn’t Diddy do!?😂😂😂So far Diddy has truly done it all.
The best part with how these guys deal with Mormonism is that they don’t make anything up, they don’t exaggerate, they just lay it all out there exactly like it happened/supposedly happened and let the stupidity of it speak for itself.
This video deserves a million views for how much you guys made me laugh 😂 one of the best channels on all of UA-cam. You all are amazing. Keep up the awesome content.
As far as Halloween episodes, there's the season 2 episode "Spookyfish" & the season 3 episode "Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery", where the members of Korn get caught up in a Scooby Doo-esque mystery.
PLEASE. React to more South Park. I would love more episode reactions.
Omg when the mormon family mentioned rice crispy squares... My dad decided to be nice to these Mormon guys who would go door to door and Christmas last year they gave my dad a plate of rice crispy squares XD he then gave them to me because he didn't want to eat them haha
That second episode almost feels like pre-homework for their musical The Book of Mormon which is spectacular. It's the funniest, most offensive musical ever written.
Fun fact: Stone and Parker actually love Mormons, and they feel they're overall really great and kind people who just have some questionable beliefs. This episode kind of illustrates that quite a bit. Also, the beliefs are accurate. That's what they believe.
10:01 no one saying hi to Gary cracked me up alot more than it should can anyone relate?😂😂😂
10:07 Ruff’s reaction sells it. Literal spit take, you don’t see those often!
The devils sweet sixteen party episode might be my favorite one in all of South Park
The critter Christmas dose make Christmas more enjoyable
yall gotta watch the specials and the covid season
just wanna say I watched this drunk and it was the best 25 minutes of my day
I was in 7th grade when the animal Christmas special came out. Me and my teacher laughed so hard talking about it. He also used to show us Hayao Miyazaki movies like 25 years ago. One of the best teachers ever. Anddd I grew up like 25 minutes away from where Mormonism was founded.
Now he's confirmed he prewatch 😂
Yep... pretty acurate name for the channel
Definitely check out the Black Friday trilogy episodes lol
South Park only did the cardboard animation for their original Jesus vs Santa pilot and the actual first episode. I believe the rest were done more digitally
This is true.
They do use cardboard cutout for story boards
They used clay I think in the first season…after that the graphics got better but I still love the older episodes too
Construction Paper is what they used. Later when they went digital they just replicated the style while making it faster to produce
No they didn't use clay the animation looks nothing like clay
Please do more, this was gold!
They didn’t push their religion on anybody tho
What is really funny is in the South Park lore Mormans are actually the correct religion
A correction on the whole, paying the church for the Mormon religion: We are commanded to pay tithing to the church (10% of your earnings), and in order to go to our temple, you have to be paying a "full tithe". You can still be a member and not pay typing. People will just judge you for not doing so lol. I'm a life-long member, and don't pay tithing cause it doesn't morally make sense to me personally, but I would have to pay it in order to go to the temple we have.
Imagination Land next, we all know who comes back
There wouldn't be an unhinged South Park episodes series without With Apologies to Jesse Jackson! Those of you who know know.
I wasn't excepting this episode, but overall great reaction.
This is great. I woild love to see you guys watch more south park
One thing to mention. Regardless of their beliefs, mormons are some of the best people i have known in how they treat their neighbors and stuff. I have lived in utah dince 97 as an athiest and I still love living here. Day what you want, i love a community i can walk around in at 1 am.
All of their early Christmas episodes are pretty messed up. Whether it's Mr Hanky the Christmas Poo or a Christmas retelling of Blackhawk Down.
Butters: Please, don't ice me homie! 😂
The Native Americans thing is real lmao
butters is unironicly the most powerful being in southpark.
glad to see ya react to SP ive seen every episode at least 20 times lol
Omg I love you guys are reacting to south park, I hope you'll react to Don't hug me im scared some day
Would love to see Phineas and Ferb reactions if possible! Saw it commented on the newest Gumball video and it reminded me of how great of a show it was.
I was a Mormon for a week. Ironically, when I got baptized the Holy Spirit told me that I was in the wrong religion. I left and never turned back. In their records I am still considered a Mormon though.
The "Hell on Earth" episode is one of my favs of the show.
I just love South Park's Satan and dead people coming back to life in fiction.
OH MY GOD THEY KILL KENNY
YOU BASTARDS
You bastards

Yes, there are. Not sure how many, but I do remember one specific Halloween episode.
Edit: And no, that wasn't the episode I was thinking about xD
Need more South Park now
About time we did some SP my favorite show I've seen them all multiple times
As a Missouri man. That was news to me. I never heard about that until now. Will have to look into it.
No Randy on Wheel of Fortune? 😆
"The Aristocrats!" 6:00
That is a neat magic trick: Pulling a religion out of a hat.
When this Woodland Critter Christmas episode originally aired, I knew they wouldn't be able to air it ever again.
According to South Park universe only Mormons go to heaven😊
Ahh one of the shows of my childhood yes my mom let me watched this as a kid still to this day we watch south park together
its no weird seeing so many people who never seen south park
There are a few Halloween episodes I don't know the names but I do know one is "nightmare on FaceTime" if one of my favorites too south Park celebrated for a lot of things
South Park will always be a top 10 cartoon
South Park reactions…NOW WERE TALKING
I'm from Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, and it's crazy that a world religion was formed in the neighbouring town of Oakland. It's insane, and the Mormon Church bought land right next to my hometown and it's literally Mecca for Mormons.
More of this please
26:00 "I WANTED THE CAR I SAW ON THE *TELLAVIZHIN!!!"*
Honesty I dont remember cartman being telling the story but as soon as he said it i was like "yeah that's probably it"
Now you guys have to watch the South Park Movie Bigger Longer Uncut.

the south park that uses paper was used once after it was used they scan the paper on the computer and it all digital

this religion was horrible to my gf.. and made her mother disconnect with her.. its ages ago, but still..
it was cardboard pieces for like one episode, maybe two and after that they got money for computers
