Even with all the trouble the fabric gave you this turned out very nice and wearable.

What a fab video… !!! It’s always right at the front, or the last button hole…. I have had this pattern for absolutely ages but haven’t tackled it yet. I think it looks really nice on you, but agree to down size of the top.. I usually run adjustments through the machine on a long basting stitch then wear them to make sure they are the right adjustments… great vlog, thank you for taking the time to sharing.

Hi Debra. Thank you so much for your positive feedback! I know - centre front! 😅 That’s a good idea about basting stitches and I think if I’d not made the hole I would have considered unpicking the bias binding to resize it but it doesn’t seem worth it now. I’m going to make the pattern again and I’d definitely recommend giving the pattern a go! 😄 Thanks again and I hope you have a lovely weekend. ❤️

Thanks for sharing. I’ll have to make a toile before sewing on a good fabric after what I learned from you. God bless.

Hi Ríe. Thanks for your comment. You might be okay but sometimes it’s worth doing a toile especially if you prefer it more close fitting without being too tight! I hope you enjoy the pattern. Happy sewing! ❤️

Lovely dress Nadia! I would see it as a very wearable toile 👍🏼. What a shame about the snip, we’ve all been there! Looking forward to your next vlog with the wedding and travels 💝

Hi Stephanie. Thanks for your lovely comment and for watching. I’m glad I’m not the only one! 😅 I’m in Ireland and recorded some vlogs and I’m excited to show you next week. I hope you find them interesting and you have a lovely weekend. All the best! ❤️

Nadia. Your dress is lovely. I made my first Saltwater slip dress last week as well. I just received my sliders/rings in the mail so now I can complete the straps. I am sure the more I wear mine the more I will like it too. I also made the large so I hope it is not too big as well. Seems okay but I won’t know until the straps are finished.

Hi Denise. Thanks so much for watching and sharing your experiences with the Saltwater slip. I hope it fits well and you enjoy wearing it. You’re right - It’s tricky to fit as you go along! Happy sewing! Nadia ❤️

Oooh it’s lovely! Yes defo downside on the bust and it will be perfect 👍🏼. No-one will see the mend honey. I could hardly see it and you were pointing it out 🤣. I’ve tried not to use crepe because it’s so hard to press the binding. I’ve made both mine in viscose and it’s turned out really well. Can’t wait to see the next one 🎉

Thanks so much, Ruan! Good to know about the differences between viscose vs crepe, as that hadn’t occurred to me! And thanks for your reassurance about the snip. Typical that it’s always centre front! 🤪 I loved your version of the dress and thanks for watching about mine. 😍

Your little boo boo with the snip in the material is not even noticeable because of the pattern design, and don’t worry I won’t tell anyone! 🙂 I’m starting a project with rayon crepe and fingers crossed it behaves….I’ll give it a good spray with starch before I start and hope for the best! I am excited to see all your wedding outfits, think they will be nice.

Hi Lynn. Thanks for the reassurance about the snip! Trust me! Good luck with the rayon crepe -let me know how it goes. I’m excited to share with you and appreciate you watching my vlogs. 😃 Happy sewing!

Lovely dress Nadia 👏🏼👏🏼. That’s really disappointing from Rainbow fabrics - when cutting it - they must of seen that overlocker seam 👎🏼

Thanks so much, Paula. Yes, it was disappointing and hopefully a one off! To be honest, I’ve not mentioned it to them because I decided to use it anyway and never had a problem before. If it happens again, I’ll let them know! I appreciate you watching and commenting. 😃 Best wishes ❤️

Yes, I agree the top portion is definitely too big on you. Otherwise nice job.
