- This is a JBL Tune 710BT Review. For under $80 this might be the Best Budget Bluetooth Headphones of 2023 with actual tonal balance and Multipoint capability! It's not perfect though and as always, my review will cover all pertinent positives as well as negatives.

The mic is surprisingly good!! Usually, headphones come with crappy mics. No Sony was hurt by this comment.
Hahahah
Over the ear headphones are always a better experience compared to in the ear.

@@nazar1080 bigger soundstage, more comfortable
These headphones are actually one of the most pleasant sounding cans I've tried especially considering it's price. I think I prefer the way these sound over my Soundcore Space Q45's and only slightly less than my JBL Live 660NC (which has a nicer bass to it without sacrificing the detail) If it wasn't for the amazing ANC, Transparency mode and the insane comfort it has on my head, I'd probably have returned them. But sound wise, the Tune 710's are way better value for money. Kinda crazy that there are some opinions out there that don't think they have bass or don't get loud enough (I guess they are a little bit on the quiet side compared to my other headphones, but not by much) but still I honestly think they're more than loud enough at least for my ears.
Im about to buy and I'm confused so, can you suggest to me whether I buy this one or buy JBL live 660nc?
@@dheemdhoong I still use the Live 660NC and I think the Lives are a little bit better due to having app support with custom EQ's to get the sound you want with EQ presets that are really nice. Comfort wise they're about the same. I found that stretching the headband a bit greatly improved the comfort as they were a little bit tight in the clamping force for me. Significantly better sound quality than my Q45's in my opinion, the ANC is almost as good but a little bit more noisy but it definitely gets the job done. Transparency is almost as good but it doesn't do a good job in slightly windy environments. The Comfort, ANC and Transparency mode are the only reasons I still kept my Q45's. They still sound okay as I'm not really that picky when it comes to sound quality as I'm happy as long as it doesn't sound like absolute crap... But yeah, of the three I have I actually use my 660NC's the most
You definitely can't go wrong with the Tune's though. Very good value and maybe even better value than the Live's since the tuning sounds very similar. It's the app support and EQ settings that edges it out for me
@@Benzo97 thanks alot.
6K ? I thought I was on a channel that has 1M,
great video keep going.
Thank you!
Very engaging and comprehensive video. Just got these for a steal at £14.99 new. Exactly right about the balanced sound and the bass not being overpowering. Loving these maybe more than my Sennheiser Momentums. 😁👍
Where did you buy them from please? Thank you
F*ck the headphones - what a place! I wanna be there 🤣
Fr
Where are you?
Looking at getting a pair of these. My last set was the JBL510BT.
I was actually pretty happy with them even though they were basically entry level. Hopefully, these are going to be even better!
were they better?
too small
Are they better?
@@Stelaxyyes! i did the same. I’m pretty satisfied. I can let u know if i find out about something that bothers me, because i’ve had them for a few hours and reminded myself on those comments. Anyways, I really like them so far.
@dont_judge_me_2071 thank youu for the reply, I've actually went and bought the 520bt or 510bt not sure which, they've been with me for 3 months or so and they're awesome
Beautiful relaxing location in the beginning of your video.
Good brand but The most stupid and annoying part about the model I have is when the battery reaches down to 20%, it will keep interrupting and telling you repeatedly in your ears. Battery is down every 3 seconds or so, instead of letting you continue enjoying the remaining 20%,
Stop complaining and charge them for 5min you get 6 hrs of extra life
@jcdukes
Sometimes you are in a plane or jogging or in a place you can't charge them 🤷 .
See, this is exactly what we need. A mic test in the wind outdoors - none of the 100-400 dollar headphones seem to deal with this well except for the top of the range Sonys…
Of all the headphones I own the JBL 710BT is the best sounding overall to my ears with my usual favorite Sony MDR XB500's being a close 2nd, only losing because the midrange on the sony's is a little recessed which you can EQ of course but I'm comparing with no EQ, The Sony's also have a slightly more boosted upper end which can be nice depending on track but after comparing several tracks back and forth the JBL's are just very balanced along with the same bass boosted bottom end which goes very low just like the Sony's so yea for the current $39 these JBL's are impressive, the only negative being they have pretty tight clamping pressure on my head but this should ease up over time at least from my experience with several different headphone brands.
Best mic test review!!! Good job
Thank you for the detailed fruitful review. It's sucks that it doesn't have the noice cancellation feature though. Not to forgot to mention the beautiful view too!!!
Beautifully shot, excellent narration
You are so positive))) thank you for video! Wish you more followers 😊
Thank you!!
Would love for you to review the JBL 720BT. To see if the higher price tag is worth it! Can currently get the 710BT for $55 and the 720BT for $75. Thanks!
700 series are all great, get whatever is cheaper
I feel called out as a product engineer. That being said, great video, I'm going to check these out
DMS recommended these as well. I have been trying to get a pair but every time they go on sale they sell out really fast.
Overall about the headphones, in my opinion the way they have made them reduces the bass itself the bass, the bass itself feels like a cheap headphones bass it's hardly there, the sound is nice but not loud, if someone ask me if I would recommend them I wouldn't. In my opinion for the price the bass and the loudness should be more improved. I have Chinese headphones from the Chinese shop for 20euro and it gives me better quality bass and loudness.
No it feels balanced and not just overpowering like a lot of headphones... Which most people are used to. But yes they don't get very loud.
theres more to music than bass
First video I watched! Love your channel dude. Just bought the 670nc and I love them so far
I like the carefree presentation, just like your style. Happy you found your own way. :)
About JBL, I bought some of their headphones with an open mind and finally gave it up for good. The JBL sound quality is simply bad.
Thanks for this vid. Very funny also, well done!
U seem to know wht u r talkin about and that helped me make my final descision. Price / quality is very good, so I will buy these. Thnx again!

Great video! Was looking at these headphones and your detailed description of the sound over the hertz spectrum gave me the reason to purchase! Thanks
how is it? Happy?
Love the headphones
Good review. Greetings from Los Angeles, CA..
Thank you for this review, I saw these in my electronic store and had never seen the brand before. I might have to give them a try!
How is the headphones?
Thank you for using the mic on these headphone
you deserve more subscribers and likes
Thank you!
Great Review. Appreciate you doing the mic test 👍🏻
peak tier video, appreciate it a lot.
btw, does it get stained easily? im gonna buy them soon and i like the white one, but my friends are saying that they will get dirty in a few months :(
good review, you earned my sub
Sub for the amazing video quality. No other video I've seen covers the dual connect and mute features.
Just a question, have you tried the mute button in zoom calls, does it work or is it just for phone calls?
I just got these from Ross for 35 bucks, easily in of the best purchases I’ve made
Bro please tell me is it good for the gym sweat resistance??????
Great video as usual. Can you make a video about some good over the ear affordable headphones (not the ones from the big boys like Sony, Boss)
I've got an edifier coming..
Great and helpfuI review! 👌
I also just received one and I’ve got a question about it. Does it really not sound loud enough?
Mine sort of becomes audibly acceptable(at the very least)at 75% or 80% volume on an iphone. Not sure if that’s normal or if the unit’s defective.
I would really appreciate your reply on this matter. 😅
I think because it doesn't cover your ear fully it doesn't isolate outside noise enough and because of that a higher loudness seems necessary. As for whether it just gets very loud by itself ..it's been a while and I hadn't tested that so I couldn't say.
@@imwhatsnew That’s a good point. It does cover both my ears fully, maybe the one I got is a faulty/defective one. I’m asking because I’m thinking of returning/replacing it if it is not normal(low audio output).
Oh. Okay. Thanks anyway for replying. Keep up the good work and have a good one! 🖖
great review!
Thanks for the vid it really helped me, 1 new sub for you 😎
The Edifiers don't have an aux port. Non starter for me. I made this mistake once already with my 510BT. Great on ear headset but no aux.
"If you're the product engineer, you know what you've done, you know" LOL, first Thank you very much for the awesome review and filming it by the sea and nice weather made it more awesome, please tell me is the 2.5 mm jack on the side that connects to the headphones? and is the other side a 3.5 mm? coz if both sides are 2.5 mm it wont connect to an mp3 player for example, Thanks
Great video, may I ask where is it that you live? It's really beautiful there.
Ah the video was shot on a beach in Sri Lanka when I was there on a trip :)
Nice Video.
Great review . How does this sound compared to shp9500
How is it compared with sony wh-ch520?
Hi, did u get a chance to compare them with the JBL Tune 720's? I was wondering what is the difference soundwise.
I haven't had a chance to compare them
This was a great video, convinced me to buy one at full price, however I'm greatly disappointed with the performance of these headphones.
I've been using these for a little over 6 months; contrary to what you've said the bass is non-existent, and the buttons feel extremely cheap so much so you can hear the springs inside. Furthermore it blocks absolutely no noise from the background, so it might as well be an open back headset. 4/10 headset unless you get it on a crazy good offer.
Highly unlikely my product is defective, but even then I recommend people stay away from JBL entirely unless its for speakers.
@@fancyboyo483 the bass is highly dependent on fit.. Especially for on ear models like these( as opposed to around ear). The bass is definitely there but I think people have just become used to have massively boosted bass...
It definitely doesn't block noise though . .wasn't ever going to.. thank you for the compliment on the video though
@@imwhatsnew valid points you’re making. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I’m still leaving this comment to give a perspective to anyone with such expectations.
However the point about being on ear is not true, these are over-ears for sure, and I expect over-ears to block off *some* noise; I can hear everything going around me so might as well buy the 510.
@@fancyboyo483 oh.. well I guess it depends on ear size ..for me there are definitely more on ear than over . And I absolutely invite comments based on viewer experience ...I think they're very useful. So thank you.
Looking forward to buy this soon. My only worry is about the fit of these headphone.
55mm by 40mm cushion hole & 20mm deep. My ears are generously sized but since these have extremely soft cushions it causes me no real issues. Sony over the ear cans are bigger.
My AKG Y500's gave up on me last week, so I had to run down the shop to buy a cheap set of headphones to tide me over until I could afford a better set. They had these in for £35. I bought them because of their 50Hr battery life, which is excellent. I wasn't expecting much from the audio, but the audio quality is easily as good as the AKG Y500's. For the price, I can't complain. In fact, I keep wondering if it's worth spending £100+ on a set of headphones now?
Delighted to see this comment because my AKG's also broke so this is why I'm looking at these videos 🤣
Hi there, thanks for the comprehensive review.
I am torn between these and Soundcore Q30. I have a discount coupon which makes both headphones about the same price for me. Which would you suggest? Went through your video catalogue and couldn't find a review on the Q30, however you have reviewed other products by them, so I was also wondering what your experience with that brand was like.
I am unable to test them in-store or anything, so I'm really relying on reviews for my purchase 😅
Edit: I have rather compact ears, so I'm not too worried about the fit. I am going with the assumption that all Over-Ear headphones will fit me fine and create a proper seal.
Well I too haven't tried the q30 but generally sound ore products seem to be largely well built and premium feeling for the asking price. As for the sound, they do tend to be sharp in the treble region.
which one did u get?
@@wutttt7661 I got the JBL in the end.
There isn't much space for your ears, so if you've got larger-than-average ears, they're definitely not for you; the Soundcore has more ear space (my gf owns a pair).
Build quality: 6.5/10*
Sound quality: 7/10**
Battery life: 9/10***
* = Small movements (even something as small as jaw movement) will result in creaking plastic noises. Not a total deal-breaker for me, but you get what you pay for I guess. The headphones themselves clamp rather tightly on my head, which can be annoying after ~2 hours when wearing glasses.
** = This really depends if you wear glasses or not! Wearing (sun)glasses will break the seal that the ear pads create, which results in being able to hear less of the bass frequencies. Of course you can compensate this by means of an EQ, but still something to be mindful of. However, it pales in comparison to for example the Beyerdynamic DT770 (which I've owned in the past), although it's unfair to compare wired, studio reference headphones to BT headphones.
*** = The best part of these headphones is the battery life. I'm not an intensive user and I only need to charge it maybe twice a month, which is great because I always forget to charge my devices.
Is it worth your money, and would I recommend it? If you're a casual listener, and need wireless headphones for not much money, absolutely.
forget about the headphone, what camera you used to film this video and where is the location?
When first i tried them i couldn't hear the bass just treble in sound,,,,but after factory resetting them,,,i just found the bass that these were missing in starting,,,,,
What about the latency?
Kindly reply
I found these to be very underwhelming when it comes to the bass output. For under or near 100 the Skullcandy Crusher rock the bass with it's haptic bass control slider. Hower those Crushers are discontinued so theres a limited supply of them.
So, this is closer to how the bass actually sounds. If you get your ears accustomed to it , you start becoming more bass sensitive over time. What you desire perhaps is quite an emphasized bass ..nothing wrong with that , it's personal preference :)
Hi and thanks for the video! I have a question, I am musician, but no audiophile, though I am looking for good and relatively balanced bluetooth headphones (if possible with LDAC or APTX adaptive, my budget is under 500euros,What headphones would you recomand? (I don't care at all about ANC and features, I just want good sound. Thanks again and keep it up!
Hi and thanks for the kind words. Balanced can mean different things for different people. I recently reviewed the sony 720 which is a mere $120 and had the things you're asking for... I'd recommend a bit of eq in the app but this is easily one of the best tuned wireless headphones I've heard recently. A used focal bathys might also fit the bill at your budget..it would be more detailed and resolving among the two options as well.
@@imwhatsnewthanks for the awnser, I was Thinking of the Focal but it is too much for me... So you prefer the 720 over the xm5 in therms of sound? Also I thought about the mx50bt2, I am sure you tried them!
I have these and yes there good
I paid around 55 though
For 45€ I think I will buy them! Thanks 😊
can you compare this with its 720 BT?
Buenísimo el video. Saludos desde Perú
Gracias!
All the "quick start" manual says about multipoint pairing is a cryptic graphic that says to push the power button twice. Well, pushing it once for three seconds turns it on or five seconds for pairing mode. When I push the power button a second time it turns the headphones off! So how DO I pair my second device?
While it's connected to one, try putting it in pairing mode again and select it on the bt menu of the second device. when paired to both, double tapping the button switches devices i think..
I received 08/2022 manufactured product is it ok or I should return it
i was just wondering, if there is a difference in sound quality between the 710bt, 720bt and 760nc
Yes❤
Sir How is the experience of listening music on this headphone? Please Do Rply.
It was a balanced experience.
Just bought it from the store.Your Review was very helpful. THANKS.
Hey man, how is the audio quality of this one compared to the moon drop jui you just reviewed? Yes, they are in different category but you know how audiophiles think..lol.
if you were really an audiophile you would know comparing headphones to iems is completely different
@@vonwaq Can you define an audiophile for me?
I was so frustrated with the headphone jack so I followed your adviced and totally SMASHED that button. But it seems my frustration overpowered my coordination and ended up hitting the 👎
Damn.. That smash is overpowered!
Can anyone tell me whether its extender is weak or not cause a few of my old headphones extender breaks easily and its non warrantable after that
Does it have “pass through” charging…can you use them while charging ?
No
Which is better jbl tune 710bt or Sennheiser 400s
How to edit that graph visual on the screen
JBL 720BT and jbl 710BT which one is best??
JBL 510 Rocks 😊
how is this compared to edifier w820nb plus?
Jbl is better for sound and build quality. Edifier is better for comfort.
thank you sir, lastly how about the sony wh ch520?@@imwhatsnew
@@Fear_BFGnot the same budget, but they're comparable to JBL 520BT
Is this available in india ? If it does , please put a link . There are many options with the same name but the prices are different
it should be, its been on the market for a while now.
I know this doesnt have ANC. But does it cancel outside noise even a bit?
If you get a tight fit it would blokc out some but since it is ON ear rather than OVER ear...this is difficult
@@imwhatsnew what about sound leakage in this?
Came for the product review...stayed for the human commentating. Good work!
2.5mm jack is that what goes into the headphones itself?
Yes
@@imwhatsnew 👍
760nc sounds as good ?
How is the passive isolation? Good enough for a walk with music playing? I had the same superb tonal balance with my very old Tune 110bt that just broke a year ago and I purchased the Galaxy Buds+ and the Liberty 3 Pro (always through wavelet, horrible otherwise) ever since and they both have really nice strengths but none of them gave me that natural engaging sensation, like super alive music. That said, technicalities on both TWS are better. This 710BT are now at 65€ in Spain so if they do block out noise passively in a decent way, I'm getting them
The isolation is not phenomenal for me. they don't necessarily go around my ear and hence don't always form the greatest seal.
@@imwhatsnew thanks for the kind and quick answer. Any chance you could review the 760BTNC? It would be interesting to see if JBL keeps the tuning adding ANC to the formula
I have looked it up...but this is all from my personal budget..have started a patreon and youtube membership for the future so I can get more stuff without depending on the brands. Let's see how it goes. Will keep you posted.
How you make loud
very nice
Can anyone tell the jbl app in which i can connect this headphone
WTF 2.5mm jack?! But do they include the cable in the package?
I believe they do
Thanks. Do you have any recommendations for headphones that works well also with the cable? Thank you in advance!
Which one is better. Samsung galaxy buds or this one?
They're.... Not the same product category even.
@WhatsNew I ask this because now in my country they cost the same price. I actually don't care about the look and other stuff. Just the sound quality, which one is better?
Ah I see.. Well I haven't used the buds.. Only the buds 2 pro so I couldn't honestly say.
Nice Video but my Microphone isnt working what can I do ?
Send it back?
does the mic sound better if the headphones are wired ?
I don't think so

The sound out of the box on these headphones is terrible. Flat and tinny. Do they not have an Equalizer? The JBL website is useless.
IS THIS BETTER THAN SONY CH 520
Haven't tried that one.
Because no legendary bass in it... Only like cheap Aliexpress 2 dollars headset... I sent it back. JBL MAKE NORMAL HEADPHONES AND MORE PEOPLE BUY IT!!!
