One small note: I said Nolan Ryan was signed in 1989, but it was actually 1988 during the offseason. His first season with the team was 1989 which is probably what caused my confusion.
One key point in 2007 was the Mark Texeira trade. We got Elvis Andrus, Neftali Feliz and Matt Harrison out of that, all three of them being big parts of the 2010 and 2011 seasons.
Great video. My grandparents loved the Texas Rangers. They took us to a few games growing up. I am now starting to get back into the Rangers again. It feels very nostalgic watching their games. Thanks for this video.
I hope you'll end up enjoying the video tomorrow! I have been a lifelong fan, but considering I am not even as old as Globe Life Park I learned a lot by making this.
@@TexasRangersFanatics yep I always start my ootp games at 1976 just to have the entirety of the Dallas area franchise (so not including that little bit of Senaters)
I was there at game 6 alcs in 2011 it was awesome. the world series was heartbreaking. I just want to see them win the world series but I feel like it wont happen
You did a wonderful job with this video but here’s an update on October 24 2023. Last night the Texas Rangers knocked out the two time defending champion Houston Astros in game seven of the ALCS to advance to the World Series with home-field advantage against the winner of the diamondback or Phillies game seven tonight. So the answer to your question for better days ahead. Yes, indeed let’s go rangers.
It was hard having to grow up with this franchise, as I've lived in D/FW my entire life. Their second ballpark was a better place to watch a game than was the first, but I've accepted Globe Life Field, which will be very good (and comfortable) for many years to come. The Rangers have had some fine moments (amid much futility), but their fine wine years happened ten years ago with a good run in the first part of last decade. They'll always be second banana in Texas to the Houston Astros in terms of overall franchise success, but they will make things interesting in the next few seasons after some great offseason moves to shore up their pitching. The Rangers will be fun to watch in '23.
Enjoyed the video. Of course you cannot cover all highlights but great job none the less. I grew up in Arlington moving there in 1972 and was able to watch the team grow over the years.
Yeah I'm definitely younger, for reference I was 2 when Blalock debuted with Texas haha! Thank you for the correction and the pronunciation help, I will get it right when I discuss them in the future!
There were absolutely zero reasons to mention that the law enforcement agency has a racist history. The Rangers are among the most respected law enforcement institutions in the country.

2023 We got it! Love my Rangers!

That is true! Big trade for sure.
Except for Feliz he couldn't strike out David freeze 🖕
To me that was their “Herschel Walker” trade. It propelled them.
Currently they are the World Series Champs.
Don’t worry rangers fans the sun will shine bright on us again soon in the future
This came up on my home page, your video has aged like the finest of wines! Hope you're enjoying that championship!
Censoring One Strike Away? That’s my Rangers fan.

Gotta love this one man, been a fan since Pudge and Gonzo jumped on the scene in 89 or so!

Your wish was granted on Nov 1, 2023, the Texas Rangers won their first World Series in franchise history.
Thank you for much for censoring that Cruz moment, you're a legend
Had to! 😂 Can't ruin everyone's day like that
That night will live in infamy. Great hitting but damn

Your Texas Rangers won the 2023 world series last night.
My favorite team!

We're still ahead of them in our division by 3 games

Thanks Chris!
Great video! I loved it, well done.
Thank you!
Very racist history? Come on, now you Americans have finally lost it. Let go of the zealotry.

Are you upset at the rangers law enforcement racist history? Why would that bother you? He was just stating a fact? Don’t be so sensitive.
Great video beside the part where you had to just mention that Texas Rangers is a racist name. Totally unnecessary and not fully accurate
Just wanted to mention that is what it's named after, since the naming of the team is part of it's history.

Dallas teams are cursed
What can I say Texas is a football state not a baseball state makes sense that our own baseball team sucks 😂
Even our professional football sucks as of now. Neither the Cowboys or Texans have been relevant.
