Anomidae inspiration are big on this one, but so it is good, because Interloper is my favourite ARG, at least in "still-standing" ones. Really down to earth and immersive which makes it so much interesting
You should try running the game with the "-condebug" parameter to see if it spits out any messages when it crashes. It'll dump everything from the console into the "console.log" file in the game folder. It might have more info on whats causing the crash.
1:22 I noticed that when he loads the game after the crash, it shows the cake menu screen (Which I'm pretty sure only happens when you beat the game, or when you go to the menu at a certain point), While at 0:47 before the crash, it's the regular menu screen
Antiwire's original comment was NOT "are you sure the observation rooms are empty?" it was about if it wasn't an arg, reinstall, if it WAS, then verify observation rooms. this confirms that this is indeed an arg. ADDITIONALLY, a trigger_changelevel trying to put you into a map that is not found (what is happening here) should NOT crash the game, I think it either brings you to the main menu or does nothing, while outputting in the console that the map wasn't found.(I THINK.) this means that probably something more is going on, maybe with the trigger, maybe to do with the odd HL2_P_B, or maybe that it DID find and load the map, and then something in the map itself made it crash.
this arg seems pretty shitty tbh nobody even has the time to fact check anything to make it seem real remember the first interloper video where we were literally completely fooled up until the ending (or the vr part but even that has some reality in it considering what valve was up to at that time)
You should try to do a clean reinstall. Go to the portal folder and delete all files manually then do steam files integrity check. When you uninstall and reinstall game via Steam it sometimes can not properly remove all user-made modifications to files and folders, the method above should cover this case.
Interloper but its just chamber 8 of portal acting silly Also trainstation_01 is the first map in half-life 2. Prob just a corrupted change level trigger.
maybe check the triggers output? usually stuff like that doesn't crash the game and just errors out. also, try putting the hl2 maps in the folder just to see what'd happen
yo what graphics card you got cause for some of my games I needed a better graphics card and when I got a better one it worked it should work for about 640 graphics card
Yup Antiwire's comment, which was on previous video (although probably obvious now that the 2 new videos are out), was different from the ones on this one Original comment: 'If its an ARG, reinstall the game If it IS an ARG, then are you sure the observations room are empty?' But in this video, it only says: 'Are you sure the observations room are empty?' Basically, its a confirmation that all of this is an arg... Which is actually quite interesting... Very, interesting.
Oh Please… This was a user modification- by you- to the game map files. First of all, note that Hammer++ is open. Not suspicious at all. You most likely (erm definitely) used BSP-Src (I use it all the time) to decompile the BSP map files inside of Portal’s files, then edited them in Hammer++ to break them. Noting your first video, material types in Source Games NEVER Change on accident without deleting some vmt files (plain text, info about the material) or modifying them. I feel that you modified the maps because upon launching portal needed to rebuild the ain files (Node Graphs for AI’s). Also, regarding your first video, you deleted the trigger_portal_cleanser as that is what is responsible for fizzling the cubes, not the particle effect. The trigger is completely invisible.
@@Tom_everything_AKA_No_One hey! i recommend you to delete the comment since it kinda ruins the whole suspense of the arg, also, try to hide your stuff better!
I've made a new discovery: ua-cam.com/video/1PkmIW_OipY/v-deo.html
feels like this is some sort of arg being developed, incase this is not respond to me
you should try putting a bandaid on your hard drive i think. give it a little kiss too
at first it couldn’t tell if it was for an ARG but turns out it is, I’m honestly surprised this just got recommended to me

I was convinced when the second pair of footsteps started happening in the first vid

I do not believe it is a demonic possession.

That’s a pretty neat way of confirming it’s an arg

also clear the cloud save
I think this is one of the first interloper like, source unfictions
Why did the level transition trigger work in noclip? It usually doesn't
the game was possessed by gman i think, try using a crusifix
Bro, i think you need to try the ancient summoning ritual again
chestnuts roasting on an open fire
I love how a random channel just starts posing some random portal videos and their response is just smth silly or interloper related
could you try sending the map to me? I wanna try loading this up and picking it apart more in-depth
check if there is a 200" spider in your pc
this will fix it for sure
@@CombustibleLemon77 Combustible lemons are indeed a fix for every problem.
why do you have cmd prompt on ur taskbar, also try doing an interloper and use portal rtx
Some people use it alot, including me. I don’t want to have to search for it or win+r and type cmd. I just want to click on it.
Try creating a custom map and see if it has the same problems.
Verify game files, run an antivirus scan, reinstall steam?
Hell, RESET YOUR PC IF YOU MUST.
try reinstalling your entire pc :3
Eat your hard drive
have you tried ... "that"... 👀
You should try completing the game, see if you are able to.

unplug your router
get out

i wanted to type this but didnt for some reason, try to open the map in hammer (nvm u did it)
Ent remove
EVERYTHING (except you and the elevator trigger / elevator)
Reinstall the textures in the local game files
Just browse local files delete everything uninstall the game and reinstall it that worked for me when everything turned to the error textures
compile portal
you should try it on another computer
Is that door from door goes to hom depot???!?!!!?!
try replacing the bsp with one from someone else
I believe he replaced the BSP with… well- actually compiled a new one for the sake of a video.
@dk-865 yeah
install source sdk and the bases
baptize ur pc
delete System32 and it will fix 👍
is this a arg?
yeah it is
Yup

Install cs:s and alien swarm
add back the textures
Dude if this is an arg put it in the title
You can see he doesn’t want people to know that, read the description of the first a second (this) video.
Its getting worse as i know

It was decompiled to figure out what was causing the crashes? It's literally shown in the video
