Great video, I'm newish to owning a motorcycle and working on them and even when reading the manual I felt some stuff was going over my head but this made the process so easy even for someone that is used to working on cars and not bikes
thanks! I bought one of these exact bikes for $400 dollars less than a week ago and it's almost ready for new tires and to be ridden. gonna be my first proper motorcycle. moving up from a 250cc scooter.
Thanks for the vid! Woke up to find a screw in my rear tire today. Most the vids are for chain drive. Glad to find a shaft drive so i know what im doing lol '86 shadow vt700.
I have a 2009 shadow spirit 750 and this is pretty much spot on. I just removed both tires by myself yesterday and can confirm this info is pretty good
Hi i have a 84 500 for the past 31 years, you will have fun with it, theyd put racing engine in thoses customs back in the day, awesome sound past 6000 rpm.
Thanks for making this video. I'm trying to figure out why my 1986 vt700c rear wheel is misaligned on my shaft drive model. My first guess was maybe I'm missing a spacer, but I have the one seen in this video and that looks like it's the only one there is on the bike. Next guess is bent swingarm lol, so thanks for this vid so I didn't have to take it all apart just to look
Awesome, I need a new rear tire on my 2006 Shadow and the dealership right down the road from me quoted me a ridiculous amount and said they would have my bike for about 2 weeks!!! Wtf!? Now I'm just gonna take it off myself and take it to a tire shop and be in and out in 10 minutes
What is wrong with them lol?!? It’s really not that difficult unless they just do not have the time!! You are good! Get it done and get back on the road!
Hey bud. 85 VT750c I'll let u know how it goes.lol First bike btw. baught a bobbed parts bike to keep the ol girl on the road. Machenic quoted 4 grand to rebuild motor. 5 hundo later. 1000 K later. Still rippen rubber first time changing a hub and tire too

Awesome that you are doing the work yourself! You will know the machine inside and out. Welcome to the family!
I haven't stopped cruising in days. Sorry for late reply. Lol
Thanks for the vids.
Why didn't you just remove the arm from the drum instead of removing the brake cable
The arm needs to go on in the same position. I guess I just find it easier to adjust the rod when I put the nut back on
Hey man, I just got one too, I have some questions for you. If you could get back to me I would appreciate it!
