I agree with Nick regarding Die. However, let's not forget those killer covers by Hans. Those covers are incredible and amazing. In addition, I believe the virgin cover is rare.
@@TalesfromtheFlipSide I still have not ventured to the back bins but you all have me excited to give it a go one of these weekends. I have new books down and where to double down but back issues is intimidating. I am learning from the best and learning to stay out of OH!
Great show as always! If you believe in the Skulldigger and Skeleton Boy spec, another book to bolo for is the Black Hammer Encyclopedia. They were featured in that book before the actual series was released and I would have to imagine a book like that was under ordered. By no means am I saying its a true first or anything of that sort as I dont believe its really a comic and more along the lines of an encyclopedia like the title says, but if interest does ever rise in those characters Im sure some profit could be had if you buy those on the cheap and can probably be had in discount bins.
Art Adams first pro work is actually 'Three Dimensional Alien Worlds' from Pacfic Comics in I think 84 (it was a killer introduction to a great artist!!!) Great show guys-- Always the best content!
Interesting how a number of the Spec and Hot books showing up due to later printings were plentiful in Five Below packs a few years back. That atrocious Young Avengers #1 comes to mind immediately. I think the She Hulk #1 third printing was also a Five Below packaged product.
That makes them all the more appealing. Many of those books went to kids who destroyed them. Many of them were badly damaged. It makes them more attractive not less.

You are influencing the back issue market. Look at ebay sales on X-women #1 as an example. Prior to your show there was 37 sales in the last 3 months. On today March 2nd there have already been 11 sales and it is not even noon yet on the east coast. Also the top price paid has jumped from $140 to $180. I am not saying your influence is either good or bad. I am just pointing it out.
I've come to the conclusion that nobody cares about Longshot. I reached this conclusion by being on the hunt for sealed Xforce # 1s for the cards and I along with others, grabbed all the cheap copies with Deadpool and Cable, but we have all left the Longshots ones behind LOL 😆
Why is there no mention of the Young Avengers #1 included with the sealed Marvel Legends Young Avengers set? Is it because it is a first print and not a reprint ( I don't know that answer)? Surely, if a reprint, the print run would be quite low if only available in the toy set.
It’s a reprint it is says not for resale. I love that book. Not sure why no one goes nuts over it. It’s an impossible 9.8 bc of the way it was shoved in the box too.
The staff writing high republic is very divorced from the staff making the good disney plus content like mandolorian. I don't really trust the judgement of these guys. Probably profiting off these books. I don't see many of them having organic long term appeal.
All things Star Wars crossover mutliple forms of media and the canon that was rebooted in 2015 has already been spread across comics, kid books, novels, magazines, audio productions, cartoons, movies, tv shows, short stories, etc.. And while I don't exactly agree with all that said in the video, High Republic is no exception to that trend so to think the characters and concepts therein will never show up anywhere else is rather bizarre. And yes the Acolyte is a Disney Plus show they already announced and specified it takes takes places near the end of the High Republic era. So there goes that theory... But if you don't like it then the solution is simple, don't buy it.
You should check out Gem Mint and Comic Tom. They have a show that may be more to your liking. I feel like you will fit in over there. They are very accepting.
I love your shows, but c’mon, really on this list? Maybe 1 for 10!? No offense, do you guys own those & try to get people to think they’re worth buying? You’ll be wiping your butt with these in 3 months.
@@Ben-qy1kf yeah I saw Longshot on the thumbnail and thought it would be different. I just don't think a lot of the modern, unproven stuff will retain value. And the variant cover stuff hurts stores a lot of the times. They have to order say ten copies that will languish to get one of the variants. If they want to do variants, they should put an equal amount of both out and let people organically decide which is cooler.
@@robbyrobot3303 there’s plenty of modern books that have retained value for years...not only that but they’re increasing in value. If you don’t like modern comic collecting that’s fine but shitting on the video/market is not only ignorant but unfounded based on data.

Longshot #1 is also 1st app. Of Spiral maybe in Shang Chi movie
A lot of people forget about, or forget to mention this. Spiral is a dope character!
Great insight!!
I just found 6 of the Champions #1 in a dollar bin last week. Glad I scooped them up!
Smart 🤓

Nico ... Nick is the Key Collector guy.
Great show guys. We are lucky you all do this. I definitely grabbed 5 or 6 SWHR Adventures plus the 1 and 10.
Thank you!! We appreciate your comment!!

Champions #1 Mark Brooks is very rare. Highly recommend if you are going for that.
We agree 1000% with you on this one also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yep you are absolutely correct with the encyclopedia
Good stuff!
@@Mighty_Mel_V You the man Mel! I also like the cover A of SD & SB #1. That black cover with the multi-color letters pops.

I wonder if Walmart books will follow the same trend? 🤔
Just joined your channel, first video watch, great content.
Found a Darth Vader #3 2nd print at a used book store for $5 last week :) Love the hunt!
Nice work!
Just bought a 9.8 for under $200 long shot- but not a newsstand
Couldn’t agree more with Star Wars high republic adventures 🔥🔥 great book
Thanks buddy!
I have the retailer variant for champions issue 1
Thoughts on Darth Vader #2 (Aphra mention / Preview) vs #4 (2nd App)?
Great question!

I have the same fears frankly. I hope we are wrong.
Champions is nowhere NEAR the strength of Young Avengers as a franchise. Concept wasn't as unique.
What’s the name of the show where you guys spotlight good books that are worth the money? Line talk about sakes of older issues during the week? Thx.

Very strange that you'd be watching this video then.
