I hope you're able to keep all three wonderful scooters, but if not, I think your choice is probably the right one. For practical reasons, my GTS sees more of the road, but my faithful standard PX200 stirs the soul in a way the GTS does not. It's the best of both worlds for me and I think you'll be left in a similar position. Good luck whatever you decide.
Like the other comments, if you can keep the three then great. On a practical level, how comfortable are you with maintaining the older ones? If going forward you would not want to be messing about with too much maintenance, then keep the GTS. If you love getting down and dirty with the maintenance and that's what really floats your boat then you have a lot of thinking and contemplating to do!
Sorry, I'd forgotten that the GT has a 200cc engine, so no problem there. There's a woman on UA-cam who posts videos of her European scooter tours. Her first tours were on a Honda Forza 125. This year she plans to go on a Suzuki 110cc scooter because it's lighter, and because she's getting older. I guess it's all about what we are happy with. I used to go touring on 1200cc motorcycles, but now I'd rather go on 300cc scooter. I wish that I'd discovered sooner that you don't need a big heavy motorcycle to tour on. The simple reason for that is because I get more enjoyment doing it on a scooter. Here's a thought, I think a lot of people, myself included, could benefit from your own experience of touring on scooters.. What I mean by that is a video on things like, luggage, how to pack, what to take, and what not to take, etc. Just a suggestion, hope you don't mind.
I would keep the PX. Some years ago, I wold my PX because of a move. Later, I bought a modern Vespa (ET4), but I always missed the PX, and I just recently bought another PX that has been completely restored.
Nice video, you have made the correct decision in my view. Vespa GT has character and old school stylle and feel & you can always upfrage front brake etc, GTS a must for touring and practicallity/simplicity. Enginne out of the PX (sell it) back in with the 200 and sell her, all the best with your choice 👍👍
Thanks. i think I'd probably sell the PX as it is, it's a great combination of handling, power and style in my opinion. I'd possibly put a 200 engine in it if I wanted to keep the scooter, but the red GT is a decent scooter in it's own right and would be a shame to mess with it.
Lots of people saying let go of the modern one but have they actually ridden one? I've got a Vespa ET4 and its perfect for around town! almost kick myself if I take the geared bike to work soon get fed up going up and down the gearbox. That said I bought the ET to do up and sell towards a PX but its still here after 3 years.
Good morning friend I took my rear wheel off my gts 300 while I had the exhaust off checked the oil and topped it up. When I got back on the road engine light on after a few minutes and the the ABS light on constantly any help would be appreciated Sell the Spanish one My scooters are gts 300 T5 withe sidecar for my disabled son 1958 LI 150 series 1 Anyway off to Whitby in a bit so bed make a move stay safe Muzzy Liverpool
Hi there, how did you get a paint match yo tich up the 160gt? I have the same scoot in red & looking to touch up the odd scratch..do you have a paint code? Thanks, Keith.. dirty dozen sc Bellshill, North Lanarkshire 🛵
It had been resprayed in Spain before I bought it, I guessed at a Seat red from Halfords, pretty close match if not perfect. The advantage is that the paintwork isn't great anyway, so it didn't really matter.
Definitely that Chinese Vespa. Those real Vespas converted to electric if you wanted to, would be way more valuable as you probably know already! I converted all my Vespa and Lambretta to electric now they go 0-100kph in 1.2 seconds and top speed of 175 kph way better than the 2 stroke motors could ever do for me and more importantly, not a single break down in 10 years! Ride on mate!
If you can afford it and you have the space I’d keep them😁 Good luck whatever you decide.
Nice thought, but 3 is really a luxury, which is why the PX hardly ever gets ridden.
I keep thinking of selling one of mine but keep reducing the garage clutter so I can get another one in 😂
That's always an option!

Thanks for your thoughts, I feel the PX is probably an extravagance, but it's great fun!

Yes, I enjoy tinkering, but a maybe not to the extent of a major rebuild.

Of course I don't mind - definitely food for thought for future content, always open to ideas!
For me if one needs to go it would be the PX, as you said in the intro it's a toy. You could then send the cash up grading the GT.
I think that's pretty much the decision I've come to
I would keep the Auto and the PX. I'm saying keep the px. Only because it's an None Indicator model and they are getting sort after.
For now I've finally decided to sell the GTS, it's the easiest to replace if I need another..
I would keep the PX. Some years ago, I wold my PX because of a move. Later, I bought a modern Vespa (ET4), but I always missed the PX, and I just recently bought another PX that has been completely restored.
The trouble is it's not very practical to use regularly

Put the 251 in the GT maybe with an SI 26 std carb
I don't think it's compatible, these engines come in 2 versions one rotary timed, the other reed reed valve, different casings
Swap the whole motor
The problem would then be upgrading the brakes etc. which would leave me without much of the PX left to sell!
If you do decide to sell the P range Andy, let me know 😊
Thanks for the interest, email me on ourvespadventures@gmail.com please

I do agree - although I have now sold the GTS! Julie had an ET4 - a great scooter and so underrated.
Let Twist and go , go all day long
Like we did last summer?
23 bhp on the 300gts not 32. But its a really nice smooth engine
You are correct, I'd hoped no-one had spotted the slip!

Not too sure about that, maybe dislodges the ABS sensor? Hope you got it resolved.
@@vespadventures4557 yes sorted damaged the sensor disc replaced all good now
Keep all in my opinion .
I wish I could, actually sold the GTS in the end! Always replaceable, where the other two are more individual
@@vespadventures4557 well keeping and saving classic ones is also a good deed . So well done still . Hope the gts got a good new home too .
You can't get rid of the GTS, what would you go touring on?
Quite - although I'm thinking of doing a bit on the red GT this summer..

Newest!
They dont float my boat at all like the new lambi's. They look ok in asia.
They make so much sense once you've ridden one
You have less than 1,000 cc total, so you have to keep all of them.
I hadn't thought of it like that!
How about you sell all of them and buy yourself one Lambretta?
Yes, but I'd need something I could rely on 😂
Gauranga!
GT not auto got to go😂
I've got very attached to that one...

Hi, interesting thoughts...
Get rid off the rubber band machine
They're just too practical...
Sell them all buy one decent
Scooter
Personally I think all 3 are decent, but everything's subject to taste!
Ive got a vma1t vespa and a li ser 1 lammy but see your point
Tha AUTOMATIC must go.
I understand the sentiment, but just too practical!
