I'm a former employee of the place and my only words are that no one serious on making money or a career should work there. Primarily the Capitol Heights MD location. It was a bad experience where punishment came swift to any who had a passion to cook and who did their job. Trust me I have a laundry list.
Was a game tech for almost 6 years, seen almost EVERYTHING, management was a BIG issue, NOT ALL managers but MY amusement manager was the reason why MANY game techs quit, we had a GOOD team of techs who truly had potential and if he wasn't so terrible we would've had a ELITE team and the WHOLE midway would've been up and running, my manager ONLY told you what you wanted to hear but when it came time to show it he was a totally different person, the man didn't care about his employees nor did he know how to schedule, and YES the games are RIGGED we took orders from CORPORATE and once again MANAGEMENT was a HUGE PART OF the reason why Dave and Busters had a HUGE drop out rate... Again NOT ALL management is like that there was SOME managers I LOVED working with so props to them... And for those asking I'm speaking on behalf of the IRVINE Spectrum Dave and Busters at Irvine CA
Why theFuck would you work a kids job for six years. That's on you for being ignorant and then feeling like you have a right to complain about it. Games are rigged? Even if I only play for less than an hour it's always 10k tickets min on about 30$

I opened the Orange, Ca location as a game tech. Left after a month because of micromanaging, and being scheduled out at one time but being told verbally my shifts weren't actually over until closing duties were finished. That could be on average a minimum 90 minutes. Breaks never happened.
I work there now as a game tech (female for context) and the harrassment from customers and staff is absolutely unmatched to any other place I’ve worked. My managers couldn’t care less (two of them partake in the harassment) and the coworkers know that there’s nothing corporate will do to help as they’ve been contacted multiple times. I don’t recommend working at one unless you know the management is good at their jobs, but even then if there’s an issue corporate won’t help so just work somewhere better😭 I’ve worked there longer than any of the current managers, and I now have to leave because of them.
I just seen a position on indeed for a front desk host. Was thinking of applying but after reading these reveiws idk now Do you they train you. Hows the training process

I get yelled at by guests or some guests have thrown stuff me. And my boss is horrible I was a tech when I got hired then a few months he yelled at me. And the reason the he put me in the winners circle because. I accidentally bent a wire and when the other senior game tech said I was very good for a newbie that was when he left and I was doing fine until winners circle my ptsd started kicking in when I get yelled at and I did tell them about but they don’t. Care so I am in the process of quitting I wouldn’t recommend this place both as a guest and as an employee
The wost part about working at Dave&buster.s is sever girl in the sport room and bar is watching sever girl lie to me about sextile hermits a sever girl even if you know I didn't sextile hermits a sever girl and managed move me in deaf places and I got really piss off at managed for be on my ass even if I want to be in the sport room and the bar busters there table every Friday and Saturday only and on Wednesday I do dining room and bar and after I done with both my place I be hlep other employees and I hate when sever girl judge me about me be gay girl and me being hard work I don't bother other peopl or sever girl I just let there business just like I do my own business and make friends 🙄
Too bad its expensive for everyone else. Dave and busters sucks. Its where spoiled kids take dates. You spend a lot for less than 2 hours and a finger cuff🤦♂️ Go find a non corporate arcade that cost around $20 for all day play and youll have a much better time.

The place sucks to work at. 0 training, bad management, and I went there "full-time"...they didn't tell me full-time was 30 [not 40] hours per week.
