@matthewjdouglas6471 I was lucky enough to catch From the Jam on their Setting Sons 40th Anniversary Tour. They were brilliant.Did every track from the album apart from Wasteland(of which I put the lack of down to the pipes)
Weller using a fireglo 330 here, its strange (forgive the pun) that after he left the Jam he has never been seen using a Rickenbacker since. I've read that he got heartily sick of using them because he used pretty much nothing else except for the odd Hofner during his time with the band. What surprises me is that in the 36 years subsequently he has never been tempted to give them a try again. Probably just confirms what a temperamental man he is, I recall once hearing his old man saying in an interview that Paul is 'just about the most moody person I've ever met'. Paul didn't write the song my ever changing moods for nothing!!
Well, its good to know he hasn't given up on them completely because they are superb guitars, I've always loved the look and sound since I first noticed the Beatles using them.
And what a massive f*ck up of a career move all that was.Nice one Paul, just selfishly disband the most successful band in the uk at the height of its carreer!
Been into the Jam since 77, never seen this clip before, god bless YT and THEaceface
Probably the most enthusiastic I've ever Weller when miming.
Could do it live, have a word!!
@@iandainton2416 ?
Possibly more confident miming hiding behind the shades
Great even in November 7th 2022 classic
Always great, my favourites are funeral pyre burning sky and Saturdays kids. Class

very nice ....
When the Lyric says buy myself a snort, does he mean Amphetamine or Cocaine?
Amphetamine sulphate was the working class drug of choice .

Few years later he’d have bleach blonde spikey hair, then in the mid-90s back to looking like this
