I've just got this dungeon unlocked, so I'm nervous, but this guide soothes me. Thank you! I will say when you say "simplified", I wasn't sure if you were giving a simpler explanation compared to others or meaning this is the newest and easiest version of Aurum Vale.

When I say "Simplified" I generally mean the simplest. easiest and fastest completion of the dungeon/trial/raid. So in a response to your sentence... it's both. It might not mean that you'll get the achievement for "Mapping the Realm" but it will get you from start to finish in the quickest time with updated mechanics for the current expansion. Plus there are some old mechanics that you can flat out ignore now. And if some sprouts watch those old guides, they'd be wondering why everyone else is ignoring the mechanics when no one has done them for years. It's really not that bad as people say it is. It just has a lot of mechanics that come out of nowhere that is detrimental if you are doing it for your first time. Once you learn it it's easy.
Queued my daily leveling roulette and was met with my first two deaths in a dungeon. I had no idea I had this dungeon unlocked, but this video explains why I died. Gonna have to check out more of your videos! Fantastic content for a sprout like myself.
Worth noting: The morbol fruits clear ALL debuffs, not just the fight-specific stacks. So if you fail to dodge that Bad Breath - eating a fruit will clear it right up.
So... I only just learned about the meme of sprout tanks in this place. I was a sprout tank in this place... as dark knight.... somehow no one died. After seeing all these vids though, I'm afraid to go back...
Omg you got me quaking in my boots... I'm a DRK sprout going into this place for the first time after my 6 month break (only did it like 3 times before I took a break from this game) lol
@@beano2689it’s not too bad, honestly. The first room is where the memes largely come from, but Scrub covers it well, and if you follow his advice you’ll be fine (provided the rest of your party isn’t eating crayons lol)
To fellow tanks: if you get 2 stacks and want to eat a fruit, make sure to use your stun ability on the boss. Otherwise you will get interrupted while trying to eat the fruit to clear the debuff stacks.
Is it just me or did they muck with this in 6.4? Ran it a couple weeks ago and whole party knew the drill, stuck to the left like glue and… hello, where did you guys come from? Mobs right smack dab AT the wall! And those bugs later one that you could sneak right through when they were facing away from each other? Nope, lined up and looking right at the party! Ran it again, cause I thought I was losing my mind, but nope, happened again.
Just got in a party with us 3 sprouts + 1 returner healer (he kept dying and failing to heal/res, but I don't blame anyone). Hopefully, i could res as a SMN here, and nobody left. Also, first time dealing so hard with AV, and 1st time being the "mediator" to calm everyone. At the end, everyone enjoyed the mood, so very useful new experience for me.
The hate goes to this dungeon. Always have always will hate it. Played all the dungeons to endwalker and this one is still my least fav lol. Thank you for the refresher guide!!
If you look at the party list (or wherever your debuff list is), when you get hit by the pulse that is sent out by the boss it will give you a stack of 'Gold Lung' which is at 1:28. This is the golden stack that you need to watch out for. You will see at the top right corner of the debuff, it will have a smaller number. This is the number of stacks of Gold Lung that you have.
Even if they were initialed, I would still blur them. Some of the people that are in these videos are randoms from Duty Finder and I want to preserve as much anonymity for them as possible. Some people will find any way to criticize others on the internet. If there's any backlash from these videos, those people can come after me and not them. It keeps them safe.
This dungeon is one of the easier dungeons in the game imo, even if the enemies hit harder. There's less to worry about than some other dungeons *AHEM* (Dzemael Darkhold) where there's 9000 things you have to worry about, it's just a few dots you have to take care of and the start with your pathing. Honestly I have no idea why so many people hate this dungeon, it's really not that bad compared to some others. Hell, I like this dungeon more than I like Qarn. I have more trouble lining up the heads in Qarn than I do with Aurum Vale lmao.

what are the 'stacks' everyone keeps talking about? i don't know what to look for

Its not as bad as it was in the past. I never drop out of ques but this place. Ill take the cool down penalty and drop the party before suffering.
