This dungeon made me feel like the most incompetent tank ever. Thank you for giving me the knowledge I need for when leveling roulette puts me in this godforsaken place.
Ah 1:37 no wonder... For some reason i didnt notice in the chat, i looked back and saw my tank say i needed to be in area something and i was like what?? Lol This entire time i was just standing on the side avoiding that explosions and wonder why my tank was just standing there and only stood in those blue things after my whole party did in the 2nd one so my tank was just standing in the 1st one alone... Awkward, sorry tank
This one helped a lot, thank you for saving my life. ♥ (I just had shit luck in this one. Accidentally hit a toggle which made my character walk in slow-motion. Bless my party for not minding the wait it took while I tried - and succeeded - to fix it.)
@@jac1011 Grass is always greener on the other side. As a paladin main I have just started to level dragoon and words cannot describe my inaptitude in basic dps combos lmao.
Dungeons like these is why I don't just go in blind. I had a really bad time going into Aurum Vale blind, wiped probably 4-5 times without knowing why. Got yelled at A LOT. But yeah it taught me a lesson lol
@@beano2689 the lesson you should have learned from it is that the party members who yelled at you were jerks. It is perfectly OK to go into a dungeon blind, just say that you’re new and good players will help you
Coming back and learning this at the same time I'm learning DRK, this dungeon is a pain. There's so much to focus on. Between my damage rotation, mit rotation, and keeping up on my darkside, along with the ridiculous mechanics of this dungeon, I consistently wipe my team with the mistakes I make. It kinda bugs me how bad I am at this dungeon. Like I got the first boss down to 25% and for two entire crystals I was in the crystal but the boss wasn't, so I wouldn't be damaging the boss, and since I am learning my damage rotation I have to focus on my hotbars a lot, and I didn't noticed the party yelling at me in chat to pull the boss more into the crystal. I did that for two crystals, then I finally thought to look at chat to see what was wrong. Like I rather just not deal with that kind of thing until I've got my rotations memorized. I've done this dungeon 3 times now, and every single time the team has wiped more than once (more than 5 times on my second run) mostly due to my mistakes. I'm just kind of annoyed with myself XD Also, what do you do in the first room after the second boss with all of the enemies spread out and the ranged enemies? I can't find a way to group them all together to make it easier, there's no corners to make the ranged enemies come into melee range, so do I just kill all the melee while retaining the ranged enemies enmity and then kill the ranged enemies?
> "what do you do in the first room after the second boss" With the first pulls after the second boss, after you pick up the first two enemies and turn right to head towards the next exploding crystal, there is a small cave to the left which splits into two paths. The left path has a little corner at the very start of it which you can use to group the ranged enemies. Other than that, if you pull everything, you can just go around the corner after that exploding crystal I mentioned above and group everything up there. Either way, you'll still get pulled back by the toad's sticky tongue eventually. Lol
A couple tips from a DRK main: spam Edge or Flood until you're out of MP. Until level 72 you have no reason to store MP, so spend it all. You'll get enough MP to top off Darkside in time, so just hit it again once you MP reaches 3k. Also, remember that DRK is one of two tanks (the other GNB) who's aoe is a gain on 2 targets (WAR and PLD are a gain on 3 targets). So Unleash away!

Always wondered if those timers were affected by the number of players in them, thanks for scienceing that for us!

Oh the dreaded "auto-walk" button. Good for RP, not so much for content...
Dungeons like this just convince me that I don't want to bother tanking in this game. Too much shit to know beforehand for a base level dungeon.
Besides the crystal buff, there isn't really anything else that's essential to know beforehand though?
