- A day after the UN Security Council adopted a resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire in Gaza, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh travelled to Iran, where he expressed gratitude for the support provided by Tehran. Celebrating the UNSC resolution, Haniyeh said that Israel had "failed to achieve any of its military or strategic goals" in Gaza.
