Although the U.S. says they had shared with Russia intelligence pointing towards such an attack, the Kremlin said Russia’s security services had not accepted any help from the West. Russians special forces did everything possible to be late at the site, letting the four people drive hundreds of miles, then capturing and torturing them, immediately disclosing it all in the media. Every antiterrorist expert is saying that's the way to thwart any attempts of investigating what really happened.

Why did the Russian police and security forces not respond to the calls for help? It was 90 minutes before those security forces and police showed up. Wonder why that is?

Because security officers died in this attack, they called in special response teams instead of regular police to respond. And that took a considerable more time due to the nature of the outfit.

The Crocus City Hall attack shows Russians would be better off listening to announcements from the US Embassy in Moscow than they are listening to news broadcasts from Russia's state media.
How did American intelligence know about this? You think they have informants in some small obscure Islamic group recruiting wannabe terrorists in the outskirts of Russia? Perhaps they got the information from the same Russian intelligence moles, who informed them about the 2022 invasion. And the reason they widely disseminated that information can be the same, i.e. to prevent its occurrence.
The announcement from the US Embassy on March 7th was about an attack in the next 48 hours, and the FSB arrested suspects.

@@segineseju464 Russia was ALREADY into alert mode because there have been MANY terrorist attacks (some successful like with Daria Dugina, some unsuccessful, some thwarted by FSB) and also there was a Presidential Election going on. Once the election ended, most Security guys were allowed to take their leave because they had worked a lot the previous weeks, that's why the terrorists found a window of opportunity to act successfully.
But the US warning concerned another time and place, and that's what I commented on.

Having been warned, authorities should have placed armed plainclothes police in strategic positions at concert halls, etc., that blended in with other concert goers. Perhaps they did this, but did not anticipate that a venue in a suburb would be at risk, so this belief was exploited by the perpetrators. Officers in the audience with concealed weapons might have brought down the gunmen quickly and saved the lives of many people.

There were no patrol cars parked at the entrance. And there were about 6,000 people !!! Criminal negligence !
