Fun fact about number 10 - I was behind the curve in Wrath and I was doing a early morning daily run. Low and behold the Timelost flew past me and I was like "whats that?" Killed it and got the mount. Only when I started getting whispers saying 'nice mount' did I realise how rare it was. Sometimes luck finds you.
Similar story, I was farming saronite near the end of Wrath and Time Lost was just flying by. I quickly dismounted, hit him with an attack, bubbled and fell to the ground and waited for him to fly down to me praying I didn't get too far away from the fall.
Well there's a reason for that, and that would be that he already did a Top 10 Pointless Waterfalls, which you should watch because it's also very nice :D
The whole river 'sub zone' situation is that some larger rivers will change your location name when you're near it - such as the Southfury River. Think of it like being in a town - you're in the main zone, but you're in let's say the Crossroads 'sub zone'. The river near Southshore doesn't have that, despite being a major river crossing multiple zones.
As a challenge I took a Tuskarr Dinghy to travel from the start of the Redridge Mountain river all the way to the bay in Stranglethorn. I can confirm that you can finish within the 10 minutes before the Dinghy expires. What a lovely boatride!
This video popped up in my feed, I clicked on it and I got hit with a huge wave of nostalgia, didn't even realize it was Crendor until I heard his voice. I'm happy your still making content its been years since ive last seen a video of yours.
This is definitely an original idea for a top 10 video. There are many very appealing rivers. Thank you for bringing back your most iconic series about pointless things that are treasured.
something that I dont like about WoW is how the bodies of water, both rivers and seas, have almost no movement. It's just static water, which is weird to me, because they did add waves in the Isle of Thunder, but never applied them elsewhere. At least they did put currents in the rivers of Legion.
i think someone also mentioned in that one obscure azeroth ocean current post that the rivers also don't seem to flow all south or north like how our rivers do (minus the nile).
2days? I camped the TLPD for months before I finally got it. And was it worth it? Absolutely. The nostalgia of questing in Storm Peaks, and the music that I’ve only taken a liking to due to being there for months. I honestly listen to WoW music while at work and Stormpeaks is one of them. 2nd favorite Lich King zone.
It's also where you find the lightning wolf. Time lost proto drake and other northrend rares are only rare because they're constantly camped. And they're a common sight when you run into another hunter.
Same! I found crendors videos when I was 10 maybe? I started playing wow when I was 3/4 because I was born in a family who plays. Turning 20 this year.
I dont know what i expected when i clicked this video :D But surprisingly i got more than i thought i will. This felt like a trip advisor for your free time in WoW, when you arent busy raiding or killing zug zugs.
Hey Crendor, soo happy to open my utube today and see a pointless top 10 vid from you. Love this series and been ages since I seen a new one uploaded. Please keep making more :)
Gather around if you want to hear an old and probably very boring tale of how I got my Time-Lost: For weeks I farmed it, logging in as soon as I woke up and logged out only when I went to sleep. I had macros set up, I was tracking dragons and I kept tabs on time. This was way back I think in 2010, so because of spending basically the whole summer at my PC didn't go over well with my family. I was not only fighting the spawn time, but the aggro of my family as well :D After weeks of trying to get it I nearly gave up - I did the occasional fly though the route and then sat in Bor's Breath for a few hours till I went AFK to do IRL stuff. So one of these types of days I log in to do a lap around the zone, not really paying that much attention after all this time, and I nearly fly past it, thinking the dot on the map is just Vyragosa again (so I was in no rush to get to her). Still, I check the dot on the map, and then I nearly get a heart attack. I was planning on making a screenshot, jotting down the time and the height at which it was flying at etc., so I could help my family get it later, but a part of my consciousness must have actually blacked out, because I don't remember much of what happened next :D I don't remember flying up to it and hitting it. All I remember is the corpse that disappeared before my brain could start functioning again and I could take a picture. I still think it was worth it. It might not be my favorite mount in the game, but it sure is special, and, if not for anything else, then I cherish it solely for the fact that I remember that whole ordeal fondly.
Cousin of mine, who was ahead of me just by like 20 yards in-game units found the Time-Lost Proto drake while we were flying to Ulduar back in the day. ICC was out, but we were doing the Ulduar achievements as a guild for the achievement mount.
Love these pointless top 10s. I think you used to have to go to catch a particular fish in the Verdantis River when doing the Nat Pagle quest to get artisan level fishing. I loved it when WoW made things challenging like that.
Solid list. I thought the river in darkshore would have made it due to the added rapids feature added when they revamped the overall world back in Cata. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this video :)
The special thing about place 2 is that it has actually physics with the water currents. Your character will struggle crossing it and will get washed away what makes it pretty unique
Firepits? Birds? Bugs? Hills? Waterfalls? Skyboxes? small islands? Uninteractable critters (like fireflies)? Cave layouts(since so many are just reskins)? Grey items?
The river that flows into Darrowmere can also be counted as the Darrowmere river, its common IRL to have rivers flow into lakes then flow into a river and it counting as the same "river".
My favorite river is the one in twilight highlands cause it's the most reallistic. Though the Elrendar river in Quel'thalas has a special place for me, it appeared specifically in WC3 whee Sylvanas broke a river over it to stop Arthas.
Why do i have the feeling that Crendor's dad did not buy him a car when Crendor got 16, and Crendor got realy realy mad, and kept that grudge within him ever since???
I suspected the Uldum river to be high up, and was not disappointed. IRL history is wacky, so plagues fighting plagues sounds like the good kind of wacky for a river backstory in WoW.
Ouch. The many many days spent in the snow just waiting for the time lost proto… spawned anywhere from 8-18 hours after its last death from one of like a dozen different spots. I was never lucky enough to find it, alive at least. Had the displeasure of stumbling across its dead body dozens of times.
It's not that the Time-Lost Proto-Drake is necessarily hard to find (even though it patrols almost the entirety of Storm Peaks) but that it shares a spawn with another rare, Vyragosa.
Teacher: You can make presentation about the topic of your own choosing Crendor: Hold my moonberry juice P.S. I can't believe you didn't put the River in Darkshore
0:56 only 2 days? That's nothing haha. I camped 2 weeks non-stop for 6+ hours everyday in 2012. My teenage self was so determined to get it. I'd never be able to camp that long for anything again.

Daily runs are a time loss of their own, so I'd say... Well deserved.
@@wing0gund908 Hit first, think next lol
I like that crendor didn't choose waterfalls but that he stuck to the rivers and the streams that he's used to
Underrated comment 👏
Well there's a reason for that, and that would be that he already did a Top 10 Pointless Waterfalls, which you should watch because it's also very nice :D
I think he's gonna have it his way or nothing at all, but I think he's moving too fast
I laughed harder than I should have. Thank you.
Is it just me, or have Crendor been popping off lately? It almost feels like 2013 when you'd get several videos per week.
I miss the brief era of crendor where he had a schedule and it ended up ruining him mentally.

Crendor: Makes Top 10 about rivers.
Also Crendor: Calls it lake half of the time.
Love it! Although can’t believe the grizzly hills river didn’t make it. A great zone, the log ride, the bears etc.
My favorite river is the white water rapids style of Grizzly Hills with the bears catching salmon on the shores.
haven't watched yet, buy I would add the scenic river along the flight path on top of the mountains above stormwind
This was dangerously close to being well-researched and informative.
As a challenge I took a Tuskarr Dinghy to travel from the start of the Redridge Mountain river all the way to the bay in Stranglethorn. I can confirm that you can finish within the 10 minutes before the Dinghy expires. What a lovely boatride!
#3 got me thinking about how pre-5.1 Krasarang Wilds was the most underrated zone in WoW history and I'll stand on this soapbox till the day I die.
What was 5.1? Thebinvasion event?

The Grizzly Hills river would definitely be my #1. Most beautiful zone that a river goes through to me by far
This was a really good list.
Hillsbrad river is top nostalgia, and TLPD I never found over years of trying.
The pointless top 10 is my favourite series on UA-cam. Glad it's back!
Ah, the perfect thing to watch before bed. Thank you Crendor, and goodnight.
Where river's meet and let out into a body of water is called a Delta
Very happy to see Southfury make it on this list, starting in Mount Hyjal and going through Durotar was always nice
It's also where you find the lightning wolf. Time lost proto drake and other northrend rares are only rare because they're constantly camped. And they're a common sight when you run into another hunter.
The recent pointless top 10s have been great, always wanted to see a river one also, how about a top 10 Blacksmithing areas/forges?
Every river area always reminds me of the quest. Hunting for the turtle soup recipe!!
Thx Crendor! I'm not a wow-person, but I your videos are an interesting short insight into wow-lore, and very entertaining!
These have always been in my top 3 favorite WOW videos to watch on UA-cam. Thanks for posting another!
2:23am and Crendor uploads. Happy to have woken up at 4.

I don't normally watch these and haven't played WoW in 12 years, but the thumbnail nostalgia-bombed the hell out of me
Loved that Arthas and Uther dialog. 😂
20 seconds in and Crendor has already hit me with a frozen river. This is far too exciting for me
I dont know what i expected when i clicked this video :D But surprisingly i got more than i thought i will.

If peons are zug zugs, what are peasants? Right-os? Yes mliords?
Wow I did not expect a frozen river, that's crazy
OMG the bit about Arthas' birthday party destroyed me! LMAO!
Like a lot of people I don't play as much as I used to. I dip in here and there, but Crendor always makes me feel the nostalgia vibes.
That was awesome. I love your sense of humor. I look forward to more videos.
I always loved walking along whitewater wash. High mountain is such an amazing looking zone.
I wish more WoW youtubers made did countdowns like these. You’re an OG.

My favorite one is the river in shadowmoon valley in draenor. To me, It's the most cozy place in the game.
So happy you’re making these again!
I remember farming turtles along the Darrowmere River. Good times.

Solid list. I thought the river in darkshore would have made it due to the added rapids feature added when they revamped the overall world back in Cata. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this video :)
One of my favourites is nr 3, the yanzay river. back in mop i fished up the sea turtle right there while waiting for galleon! great list!
Do a pointless top 10 Stairs!
The special thing about place 2 is that it has actually physics with the water currents. Your character will struggle crossing it and will get washed away what makes it pretty unique
12:56 😂🤣 freaking classic meme right there! It's been a while since I heard it
I think Sholazar Basin is my favourite zone for rivers. It feels like one of those swimming resort domes we have in the UK like Centre Parcs
Listening to you talk makes me smile Crendor :)
Verdantes river is one of the locations to catch a fish for the fishing quest to get the skill book for fishing skill to 300.
Great Video man! Thanks for making a video about such a silly topic! I really enjoyed it!
I get way too excited for these
I now only see you as “WOW’s Mark Normand”. This video hammered it home.
I need a machinima about Arthas's sweet 16 now, damn you
Darrowmere river is where I found the little turtle mount
Crendor pretending to know what high people sound like is like he's a terrible undercover cop... I love it.

OMG the Arthas / Uther thing cracked me up so good
darrellmeer brings back memories. back in classic used to spend hours farming the turtles for xp and i got like 4 lvls of it

Firepits? Birds? Bugs? Hills? Waterfalls? Skyboxes? small islands? Uninteractable critters (like fireflies)? Cave layouts(since so many are just reskins)? Grey items?
it would have been amazing if the TLPD flew by while you were filming that part in Storm Peaks
Some other rivers I love are the ones in Grizzly Hills, Tiragarde Sound and Zuldazar
The river that flows into Darrowmere can also be counted as the Darrowmere river, its common IRL to have rivers flow into lakes then flow into a river and it counting as the same "river".
