How do you know the scale is accurate? For example, you COULD have weighed a bag of sugar which we KNOW is a kilogram in the UK here. Without weighing something, those scales MAY be wildly off target....
Hmmm.... If the box is under the weight limit, then you can probably find a big bag and put the box inside the bag. But make sure to tare the weight of the bag first before doing so.

put a tape and hang it on the scale although these scales are made for travellers, id rather measure it on a normal scale
