  • Finger coils provide stunning curl separation and last for up to 14 days. They are perfect for medium to longer lengths, easy to do the more you practice, and require minimal products and tools.
    The results of the technique I’m sharing in this video can be seen in various posts on my social media, proving it works! I love that it is both efficient and effective.

    Hi you do great work I follow you on IG wish you were in Arizona.❤ Question do you apply the influence styling gel first on the hair after the conditioner or the mizani coil oil gel first not sure if it's a order to that or iam wrong thanks a bunch.

    Excellent video! I want to make sure I understood what you were saying about the 3-row comb. Is it your opinion that the 3-row comb should not be used on curls longer than 6 inches? If hair is longer than 6 inches, is that when you use your fingers to create the coils?

    • @Thephairmacist
      @Thephairmacist  Рік тому +3

      The 3-Row Comb can be used on longer hair to help with separation. Coils on longer hair can start to look like starter locs or combs coils. When this style is complete it should look more like a really defined wash and go.

    I noticed you put the gel products in her hair in the sink. I also noticed you didn’t have to reapply product. So I’m to assume her hair is damp and cleansed? Any reason why the products were applied in the sink? Thank you for your time.

      @Thephairmacist  Рік тому +7

      Yes here was detoxed and conditioned under the steamer. I do not towel blot between rinsing her conditioner and applying the gel. This is so I can lock into the water and prevent dripping during the styling process. Doing so also keeps me from having to reapply. I apply at the shampoo bowl because it makes the application process more comfortable for the client because her hair will not be dripping down her neck. Furthermore I can add more water if needed.

      I used two gels. The Influance Organic Gel and Mizani Perfect Coil Gel. Then I finished with Influance Holding Spray and S3 Shine Spray.

    I use a denman to create my coils is this okay or should I really invest in a 3 row comb? Also why no leave in? The curly girls have drilled leave in into my brain so it’s a shock to hear you say skip it.

    • @Thephairmacist
      @Thephairmacist  Рік тому +5

      Denman brushes are better for longer hair when used correctly. I only work with shorter hair and the 3 Row comb is best tool I have found to get the best results. Also the Denman creates to much separation to achieve the finger coils I demonstrated. I do not use leave in conditioner because I have found that I alters the effectiveness of the styling aids. The benefits you get from a leave in should be established during your shampoo and conditioning process. If your hair is completely condition there should be no need for a leave in. Unless you are going to blowout your hair and remove moisture rapidly. I hope this answers your questions. 😊

    You put something on her hair while she was in the bowl. What was that? Did you apply it on wer hair? Did you wash it out?

    Can these be used to start locs?

    • @Thephairmacist
      @Thephairmacist  Рік тому

      I would not recommend it. The partings are not consistent and the coil is not tight enough to support a locs.
