But instead they chose to do it even more. None of them looked to be more than 16 or 17 years old. And there was highway patrol men every where. So I went down there to tell them about their ages. As I see it , it's a representation of what is going on in our Country , the USA . It's not just Country Music fans at all these concerts with problems . As a Society we are faltering and this is evidence . Many young people have lost the ability to express respect for others and conduct themselves in a respectful way . Sad to observe from politics to everyday life . I don't blame JJ one bit. He called it like he saw it , as he always has . Better days and venues ahead JJ , keep it Country !
Well said. I learned my lesson young: I was talking when I should have been listening to our National Anthem and the older gentleman beside me politely slapped the back of my head. Lesson learned. This younger generation needs that same slap. By the way, that gentleman was my dad.
Jamie Johnson is one of the best country music stars of all time. He is unapologetic in his views and he is 100% right. If you want to run your damn mouth stay home but you really don't know what you're missing.
I am on Jamey's side. I am sure everyone knows how sublimely he plays Lead Me Home. It is.a prayer. You don't talk during that song. Jamey was right. He stands up. You have to love this man.
They should be ashamed for such disrespectful behavior. I love this guy & his music and don't blame him one bit either for not wanting to deal with that crap from people. As we say in the South, that just ain't right & he especially don't deserve that. Thank you Jamey for your music and being who you are. God bless you, the South & America. We sure do need it now more than ever. 🇺🇲🙏😊
I don't blame him. If they didn't go to here to here him /them play then they should have gone to a loud bar instead so they could blend in with the noise. Others went there to hear him. So they weren't just disrespectful to him /them play but also to those whom wanted to hear him/them. Just saying'🤨😏
These artist are trying to do shows and people alway makes an ass of themselves and ruins the fans that really want to be there ! Artist gets fed up and have to let it out !
Sooooo disrespectful to talk during a concert. I've been to several small concerts where people don't know how to act. The performer calls them out and tells them to shut up. Especially on a song like this. We played this version recently at my mother in laws funeral. God bless Jamey Johnson for keeping it real....always 💯 ❤️
I don't blame him either. I personally can't stand going to concerts when the people around you continuously talk and are disruptive so that you can't hear the artist. It's so disrespectful. 🤘🎶
I agree he did the right thing. We were at a concert and the people behind us were loud and talking about football and where they were going to continue drinking after the concert. It was so annoying,we go to a concert for the music a lot of people just go to get drunk. They can do that anywhere.
It’s part of the me me me attitude in the US. Crowds in other countries are way more polite. I’ve seen live recordings totally ruined by a woo hoo during an emotional or quiet moment. If you like a song or a group, then clap or yell when appropriate. But during the middle of a song, if you’re talking, or Woohoo ing, you’re spoiling the artists performance, and the crowds money.
I saw Jamie at Lake of the Ozarks, MO 2020 he was fantastic not one person acted out of line. The assholes that made him walk off stage does not have a clue of what a great concert he puts on. They don’t deserve to see Jamie play….
I don't blame him!! Honestly I've been to many concerts of all music. This is the first year I skipped my yearly country concerts. I pay good money to see the artist. But yet some of the fans ruin it for so many. Last year I had someone throw up on me. Front row seats, great artist and yet I had to leave. It was bad!
Stand your ground big man. If they don't want to listen, don't play. Gunna have to let the mamas bring them belts and switches back out before we start correcting the behavior and disrespect we see these days.
As a retired performer I know how crowds can be. Unfortunately can't really dictate the crowds attitude. I always look this this way I was there to play music, and if I couldn't hear it then I'm turning it up. Unfortunately a lot of people pay tickets to come to see you. I mean unless it was a free concert, and I don't really believe a performer should walk off in the middle of a show. I would have just stopped that song and went to a faster song something alive in the place up. But I do understand when performers do that and they just get frustrated with the crowd. Each person does it differently I guess. I have total respect for Jamey Johnson. If that was his way of dealing with it then so be it. It's not for me to criticize him. I've actually played in bars where people threw beer bottles at us behind a cage, of course that was out in the Midwest where things can get a little dicey. Anyway God bless him and I hope he does go back to do another concert sometime. Maybe then people show just a little bit more respect, one can only hope.
This happened to me recently at a Darrell Scott concert. A couple of guys come in half way through and spend the rest of the night talking. And of course, they had to talk loud to hear each other over the music, which means everyone else had to listen to their conversation. I'll never understand why people pay for tickets to a concert and then talk through it. It makes no sense at all.
I just made a facebook post about this type of behavior from the "fans". I love that Jamey did this and stopped te show but sad for those who came to actually hear him. Not his fault at all though. Respect to him.
I loved that he informed anyone that thought he was wrong to come up and talk to him about it. Once a Marine, always a Marine. Great singer, but even greater man.

Most people don't know how to be respectful and courteous these days
Un great full people don’t deserve your shows. Be Blessed Jamie Johnson
❤🙏Bless Him
Us Tennessee folks don’t take crap from anyone. Disrespect me . Total respect for you . Just to show us Tenn folk how we roll .
Shine on my brother .
Stop jackin' your jaws, and listen to the music, or leave. It's not a hard concept.
What a disrespectful crowd. No manners. I agree that he should have walked out.
Good for him! It’s unfortunate for his true fans that were at the show.
He's up there sweating and hot singing a touching song and they disgraced it with all their talking. Much Respect Jamie...
JAMEY JOHNSON👍👍💯💯💯💯I BACK HIM 100 % !!!!! TRUE OUTLAW !!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I don't blame him either. I personally can't stand going to concerts when the people around you continuously talk and are disruptive so that you can't hear the artist. It's so disrespectful. 🤘🎶
He said if you think I'm wrong come up here and tell me. And nobody went up there. 😂
I think he did the right thing by leaving.
I agree he did the right thing. We were at a concert and the people behind us were loud and talking about football and where they were going to continue drinking after the concert. It was so annoying,we go to a concert for the music a lot of people just go to get drunk. They can do that anywhere.
People have no Class or Morals anymore Way to go Jamey!!
It was bad!
Can't blame him. People need to shut up and listen to the music. Its that simple. He did the right thing.
Stand your ground big man. If they don't want to listen, don't play. Gunna have to let the mamas bring them belts and switches back out before we start correcting the behavior and disrespect we see these days.
Right on Jamey 💪
That's his choice. If the crowd was rowdy, causing issues or just being rude he has the right to do so. Kudos to him. Keep that country head high sir.
What I love is he challenged the anonymous asshole in the crowd that said “F-you”…I guess that brave man wasn’t so brave after all.
Dont blame him one bit
I don't blame him I wish he'd come to Johnson City TN
This happened to me recently at a Darrell Scott concert. A couple of guys come in half way through and spend the rest of the night talking. And of course, they had to talk loud to hear each other over the music, which means everyone else had to listen to their conversation. I'll never understand why people pay for tickets to a concert and then talk through it. It makes no sense at all.
I just made a facebook post about this type of behavior from the "fans". I love that Jamey did this and stopped te show but sad for those who came to actually hear him. Not his fault at all though. Respect to him.
I was there! He was right
Mad respect for Jamey Johnson. I'd have done the same thing.
This guy is the best voiced country singer today. So why the f you want to go to his concert if you want to talk to other people.
