Along with Marc-Andre Hamelin (and a few odd performances by Berezovsky), this recording represents the ONLY other truly outstanding rendering of these unbelievably challenging works. But LIVE! This achievement stands alone! They aren't the fastest performances ever given of these pieces, but they don't need to be - the sensitivity, the kind-hearted renderings, and the seemingly effortless deportment - this is who Godowsky really was!
