    • take off jewelry before showering, sleeping or swimming.
    • contact with seawater, harsh chemicals or excessive perspiration may cause discoloration, pls try to avoid.
    • avoid knocking jewelry against hard or sharp objects when wearing.
    • fine/sterling silver oxidizes over time, gently clean & polish with silver polishing cloth or clean with toothpaste & soft toothbrush a few times per year.
    clean jewelry with diluted soapy water occasionally, rinse & dry thoroughly.

    That’s clever. I haven’t seen a crucible domed over the crucible with the scrap metals in, making it into a more effective furnace for maximum heat efficiency. Yes, I love that sound of hot metal quenching too.

    great video and great ring! i have pretty high standards and you met them, even if the polish had some very small scratches and defects its as good as it gets without a lot more sanding than any piece is worth

    The friction and the amount of time you spent with the magnet detaches I would test this metal again because you make a not silver ring but a white gold one I think

    I'm curious as to why you casted a plate as the first step and not go straight to casting a rod? Seeing as you cut the top part of the plate off I'm guessing it has something to do with removing impurities from the silver? Just got into some small scale casting my self so I'm curious.

    that’s where all the left-over goes! I always watch when jewelers work if they have a pan beneath their work to see if they catch all the saw shavings, dust and left over material from their work...that’s money -man! I see you used a magnet to draw out all ferrous and magnetized metals...good idea using a tissue ball to place shavings, dust, and left over materials. Thank you for the video. I look so forward to your magnificent work and creations. Such talent. What does silver melt at? 17-1900F degrees ?
