Of course Miles take it right into modal land while John Mayer kinda' takes it toward blues/rock, but that's the beauty of a really infectious melody, it stands up to all kinds of treatments. It's good to see John Mayer, the musician rather than John Mayer, the jet set playboy again. He really is something special. The music won! He is back to satiating his truest passion.
