Best hammer of all time .. not too heavy not too light made in USA .. less vibration than a Martinez and replacing the stick is part of manhood. It’s not a drawback .. it’s enjoyable

I swing a dalluge (Vaughan owned) titanium head California framer and love it. Definitely worth the price if you swing it all day everyday. Thanks for spotting the made in America tools.

And this particular hammer is really great....balanced....drives nails great....and super comfortable. Nice thick handle allows heavier use as well

I had one like yours but it disappeared, so I replaced it with an Estwing 22oz with the waffle face. I think I like the Vaughan better too, but the Estwing is nice.

I looked up the history of the Vaughan hammers and reviews of it 💯 then ordered 23oz & 19ozz 100% from Belfast, North of Ireland

I’ve used this hammer for two years, haven’t found a better tool in a big box store. I use a smaller Vaughn 16oz finish hammer for trim work also US made. Both hammers for under $100

I have been using an Estwing 16oz rip claw smooth face hammer for installing baseboard and using on small finishing nails etc. I started framing and everyone on the crew (2 other family members) had a 19z and a 23z framing hammer with waffle face. We are using framing air nailers for the most part but the hammers still have use on the framing parts when the small 3 gallon air compressor motor cannot keep up. We smack the nails in as they would not set in all the way. I been using my small hammer for about a week now and decided to buy myself a Vaughn 23z hammer. It sat in the cage of a local hardware store and I been staring at it for several months. Cannot wait to use it.

It seems this video series is being left behind, but I do appreciate the video. I'm an electrician and I think I'm going to buy the 12oz ball peen. Wooden handle is the lightest and replaceable...made in America at a good price. No-brainer IMHO.

I have a hammer from them, very nice, also I want to compare them to another American made company, boss hammer co.
I like the feel of hardcore hammer better, its my go to hammer
If I am going to order another one, I'll get the black hammer head and handle
I like my boss hammer as well the handle is just a little bigger, and honestly boss hammer uses 4340, or 4440 steel, can't remember which, but it's even harder than hardcore hammer
but hardcore hammer is my favorite
I'm wondering what happened to many hammer companies, been in the market
      Vaughan is old faithful
Dalluge is suddenly become VERY expensive, they were some of my favorite
Hart hammers used to make nice stuff, now they are owned by Walmart
And yea never been a fan of like the $200+ hammers..
My next hammer on my wishlist is a Vaughan hammer from "lineman equipment inc" check them out they make sweet custom handles on Vaughan hammers

I got the Vaughan 27oz California Framer that's been Discontinued by Vaughan and Bushnell. I don't use it anymore because you can't find them anymore so I only put it in my garage for display. What I'm using now is Vaughan California Framer 23oz Waffled Face
And Dalluge 21oz California Framer smooth face
I also have Estwing Big Blue Builder Series 25oz
You guys might also wanna try Hardcore Hammer it is made of 4140 Steel and also Made in The USA somewhere in Illinois
There's also a another American Made Striking tools company called "Boss Hammer" you guys might wanna try that too but they're a little bit pricey compare to Vaughan and Estwing

I bought one about 15 years ago and my dad made fun of me for about 2 weeks, then he grabbed it one day to do something random and from that day asked to use it for something every day since.
He has the stiletto titanium hammers, he gave me one of his old ones with a broken handle on my first day as a stair guy. Then he was mad at me and threw mine out a window and we both forgot about it and left, next day it was gone. So I had to buy a Vaughan. Been carrying it for 15 years.

A curved handle is a Hatchet handle. Axe handles are straight......so two hands can fit on the axe

    • @Nickjaegertree
      @Nickjaegertree 3 місяці тому

Not true at all... Axe handles can be straight or curved. A curved end or palm swell provides extra leverage. Two hands can still be used to great effect.

I dont understand those titanium hammers. Hammer is supposed to be heavy. Why choose material which is ten times more expensive and half the weight?

I just got a new one, grind burs are not appreciated/unacceptable, head feels overweight and needs a smooth job on unused corners, handle angle install is wrong, old circle wedge made handle useful. Face is smaller than the old one, head grind has claw off angle on rightside
