I don't work in a BPO industry but I have friends, I think a salary no lower than MYR5K would be a good start especially now that prices of goods have gone up a bit. But again it depends, if you don't mind eating local, food court or mamak, then you can save on money. But if you love western food and fine dining then it can get spendy. As for rent, it depends whether you're gonna rent a whole unit or just a room (depends on the size), and it also depends which area. Places like KLCC, KL Sentral, Bangsar, Ampang, MidValley, Mont Kiara, Bandar Utama (cause they are mostly city centers or areas where most rich expats live) would charge a higher rental fee as opposed to PJ, Wangsa Maju, Old Klang Road, etc. A one bedroom these days can cost RM1,600-RM1800. A small room can be RM300 (no aircon, apartment) to RM500. There's propertyguru online for you to check these out.
Good thing nakita ko tong Video nyo, papunta po ako Malaysia soon and just thinking kung paano ako makakaipon ng mas mabilis since mag isa lang naman ako. Thank you for giving us the idea, new subscriber here.

Another possible consideration is if the company you work for offers EPF. I don't know if it's the same for other companies, but for the one I work for, you will get deducted a certain amount from your salary every month (depending on the % you agreed on), but this goes into your EPF account plus an extra (a % of your salary paid by the company, it depends on your tenure how big this % will be). It's like getting an additional % increase in salary but you don't get to touch it until you leave Malaysia.
Yes, you are correct @taricomenel0918 but very few companies offer this kind of added benefits. So our kababayan should check with their employers if they offer kasi sa company namin ngayun we don’t offer such for foreigners/expats. Thanks for watching and for the support po. 🙇🏼

Hi!! I’m just wondering, did you import your pets from the Philippines to Malaysia? If yes, how did you do it? Did you hire a pet relocation service? How much did it cost? I would love to hear your thoughts! I’m moving to MY in a month and I need to bring my cats with me.
Hello JJ_913 thanks for watching our video and for leaving a comment. Our dogs are just adopted here na po. Unfortunately, we don’t much idea as to how’s the cost of relocation but I believe you can bring your cats with you. Just make sure their papers are complete. Salamat po 🫶🏻
Hi thank you so much sharing this. Lagi ko binabalikan etong video na to and finally I've decided na to push through sa application. I'm about to sign the offer letter, and my dilemma is yung offer is 4000 RM would it be enough? Is it okay to negotiate?
Hello Stephy, apologies for the late reply. Happy to hear na we are able to share information to our kababayans. As to the offer, we cannot say/ comment much about it but based on our experience before and to some of our kababayans here na earning the same amount. Enough naman po siya. It all depends pa din on how you manage your finances. There’s no harm if you’d negotiate. Pwedeng pwede po yan. Check if may pwedeng e add on as package like house allowance etc. thanks
Hi po, super happy I got to come across your channel - question po sana, Ill be moving to KL by Oct, any recommendations for places, app, agent, etc to check, and what usually comes with initial rent (2 months dep etc) sorry dami kong tanong. But thanks in advance mabuhay po kayo
Hi Hendrix, good day po. Your comment means a lot to us. Glad that we’re able to share some helpful information to our fellow kababayan. What we can recommend is SpeedHome. We talked about this on one of our video as they don’t collect deposits. If your work area would be around KL Sentral, you can check condos nearby para wala ng pamasahi or check mo yung malapit sa mga LRT stations kasi very accessible naman lahat dito po. Hope this help. Regards - Mark & Kim
Sir saan po pwede maghanap ng rooms or apartment or condo rent?
Hope this helps po. Salamat po sa support 🙇🏼
Hi Janel Lunar, Glad that we are able to provide info po sa inyu. Yung tax deductions po Nila dito is very reasonable compare satin. Pag naresidence tax kana parang 8% Lang binabawas sa monthly pay mo. Yung unang 6 months Lang po yung Malaki kasi nasa 28% - 30% yung tax deduction kasi Hindi Pa resident status. Please note na yung deduction mo ng 28% or 30%, Ma rerefund yan sayu so parang savings mo Lang din siya. This quarter po tax filing na for year 2021 and yung tax refund usually pumapasok sa bank account after a month ng pag file mo ng tax. Check with your company nlng po kasi iba iba po yung terms nila sa tax deduction yung sinasabi po namin is just based sa naexperience po namin. Thank you po again. Stay safe po 😇
Thank you po for a very detailed info. Mam ask ko lang po, pwede ba na Ph passport holder magpunta diyan as tourist then directly na diyan mag apply sa Call Center? Will they sponsor yung work visa po?
Hello @lionking_e, glad to hear na we are able to provide helpful information po. To answer your question po: Yes, visa upon arrival po yung PH passport holder if you intend to visit Malaysia as tourist. Pwede po yung scenario na binigay nyu but it would be on your own risk. Most of the BPO companies po dito nag process naman ng working visa/permit once you will be hired.
Hi @restacalisang8951, thanks for watching and for taking the time putting your comment. Yes, you’re right po with tax percentage for the first 6 months. It will be 30% but that will returned/refunded to you on the next tax filing. After you completed the 30% the next tax percentage will be 6-8% if I’m not mistaken. Will try to create a video about tax calculation here po. Regards, Mark
Hi M, thank you for watching and for your flattering comment po. We’re just a normal Filipino couple and somehow also aspiring to be in entertainment industry. Stay safe and healthy.
First time expat here. I was offered a BPO salary of 3500 RM and I wonder if I could bargain as much as 4500RM? Or would it be too much to ask? I have 5 years experience in the BPO industry, for reference
Hello Nostalgiclass, apologies for the late reply po. Was out of the country with limited internet access. It’s nice to hear na you received an offer po. What we noticed here pag nasa pinas po yung applicant nag start yung offer nila sa RM3500 + incentives but you can definitely negotiate po. Yung offer usually varies sa role and position. I hope this info helps po. Thanks again for watching. 🫶🏻
Hi , your video is very informative . Thank you for sharing po ☺️ Tanong lang po kung madali po bang makapag hanap or makapagapply ng work po ba dyan sa Malaysia kahit under graduate ng college ? Thanks in advance☺️ Godbless po
Hi @weainagaki6926, glad to hear that we’re able to provide info po. Thanks for watching our videos po and apologies for the late reply. With regards to your question, there are companies that’s not particular if you’re a degree holder. Some of them only requires atleast 2 years in college but high chances you’ll be shortlisted if college graduate talaga. Regards, Mark&Kim
Hello po, sorry late reply. Nabusy lang po. Not sure lang po kasi most of our life po sa Malaysia nasa Kuala Lumpur and Selangor area lang po kami.
Yung ibang component like CSAT Hindi naman kasi natin controlable. As general Lang po Ito as it varies din naman po sa company and account. Thank you for watching po and sorry for the late reply po.
Hello Dean VM, apologies for the late reply po. Thank you for supporting our channel. I’m very sorry to hear na paused yung hiring/processing ni TDCX. You can try Concentrix po. I heard na hiring daw sila. Regards, Mark
More on non voice po dito. Regarding sa undergrad, my mga companies pa naman pong tumatanggap but mostly po prefers someone na may diploma. Thanks for watching po
Hello I submitted an application on TDCX website, I received a reply that I was shortlisted. Currently I am working at Accenture and earning around 27-29k pe month. Around 3 years BPO experience and around 6 years ofw experience with total of almost 20 years of work experience. If mag apply po ako sa Malaysia or tutoloy ako sa application ko sa TDCX. Do you think worth it sya? .kasi may kaltas pa sa rent, food and transpo. If matangap kaya ako entry level bah ako sa Malaysia or considere nila yung experience ko sa PH.
Hello @solidboxingfans, Maraming salamat po sa pag watch and pag support. Base on our experience mas easy po Yung life dito compare sa PH. Cost of living mas mura, very reasonable tax rate and mag kakasya po Yung sahod nyu. Almost of our friends and colleagues Na Filipinos positive naman po Yung naging experience nila overall. - Mark
Got a response na I've been shortlisted. Di lang ako sure if Auto reply yun but I'll proceed with the application and if swertehin po pag maganda offer tutuloy po ako! I have other option na makabalik sa Japan pero yung work kasi doon subrang bikat construction pero mas malaki naman din sahod compared sa Malasysia na BPO pero parang di narin kaya nag katawan ko ang mabibigat na work. Sana swertehin sa malaysia Thank you po
Hi po, hindi po related sa video pero I just want to ask if may idea po kayo sa process. Nabasa ko po kasi possible dalhin yung common law partner if employment pass category 2 holder. May idea po ba kayo sa process?
Since under po kayu sa visa ng company, you need to let your employer know about it. Yung pag process ng dependent should be coming directly sa company Hr po but sometimes it varies din.
Strict po ba sa medical pano pag may high blood pressure pero controlled namn kasi may maintenance naman at fit to work naman dto sa pinas nasa bpo din ako😊
Hello po. Sorry for the late reply. I don’t think it’s going to be an issue. So long you have fit to work then I guess your good to go. Thanks
Most BPO companies nag popost ng opening nila sa LinkedIn so I’d suggest check it out. Check CNX, tdcx, Foodpanda and more. I hope this helps po. Thanks ulit
Ano po mas maganda. Mag agency or mag direct nalang sa tdcx malaysia? Baka kasi may mga disadvantages pag direct. Or baka illegal or what not. First timer po
Hi Dean, thanks for your comment and for watching our video po. If you are in the Philippines and nag apply po kayu directly sa TDCX, may affiliated agency po sila na naka tied up sa kanila. It’s part of the process po kasi we need to be protected as OFW. Hope this help po. Regards and stay safe!
@@MarkKimTV Direct via TDCX website kasi ginawa ko. So, along the way may papasok ba na agency sa recruitment process? Or kailangan ko pumunta sa isang agency? PS: I just finished the assessment last April 29 and waiting for result. I haven't heard anything from them yet. Also, may nagsabi sakin na isang vlogger na jan nagwowork, tumigil daw bigla ang processing ng mga applications sa TDCX malaysia, so parang naka hold lahat. Any truth to that? Most of the vloggers walang reply.
Hi Dean, if you’re shortlisted po and once mag start ng mag process ng working visa, may Philippine registered agency po na papasok kasi need talaga dumaan sa normal process ng government natin para protected din tayu. Honestly, Hindi ako knowledgeable about sa pag hold ng hiring process ng TDCX pero may narinig nga po ako pero not sure bala marites Lang po. Hope this helps. Salamat po sa pag watch - Mark
Hello @Tara_Sa_Norte, thanks for watching our video po. Not all call centers requires na may diploma/graduate talaga. Some are okay na kahit nakakuha ka ng 72 units okay na but the percentage of that companies are very less as most talaga naghahanap ng college graduate. You can check Jobstreet, Foundit kasi naglalagay din ang mga recruiters ng qualifications/requirements.
May mga kapwa naman po tayung na punta dito as tourist then dito nalng nag apply pero Hindi namin e aadvise kasi Mahirap yung ganyang setup. Andami na rin kasing bogus employer dito and Andaming na TNT because of promises. Mag ma susuggest namin Dumaan sa normal process para protected ka ng Philippine government agencies like OWWA and POEA. This is not to discourage you po but it’s better to safe than sorry later on. Hope this helps po. Pacnxa na po late reply. Thanks for your support and sa pag watch po 🙏🏻. Stay safe

Hi @tca666, thanks for spending time watching our videos. We appreciate the support. I believe we discussed about it but didn’t go through much detailed. ❤️
Hi UA-cam Channel Guide, Hindi naman nila requirements na fluent ka talaga sa English so long you can converse and write proper English pero sometimes kasi yung hiring managers is kapwa natin and alam mo naman sobrang taas ng Standards din.
@@MarkKimTV Thank you po, ma'am and sir! God bless us all po! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi UA-cam Channel Guide, our pleasure po. We will try our best na makapag bigay ng info about sa working life dito sa KL. Per company as far as we know po may pointing system po sila.
As to you question po, try nyu po mag send ng job applications sa LinkedIn and Jobstreet. Tapos search ka rin po sa FB ng jobs in KL. Sa company kasi namin ngayun naka hold yung hiring and not sure po ako sa kanila ni Kim but I’ll check with her po. Thank you and stay safe po.
Hi reziel comandante, thank you for watching! Sorry wala kaming alam na agency jan satin. Ang process na alam namin is apply lang ng apply sa jobstreet, linkedin and monster and once na schedule kana ng interview and na shortlisted ka, yung company mismo mag rerefer sayu sa agency na meron sila jan sa tin. Yung companies dito usually may mga associated agency na POEA and OWWA accredited jan satin. Hope this helps po. Regards and stay safe :)

Hello Caroline Zed, SpeedHome po yung recent na ginamit namin kasi mostly ng for rent properties nila is no deposit po. If you’re going to us this app po make sure na may condo in mind na kayu then search nyu nlng po if may available na for rent properties sa app. Mas makakasave po kayu dito kasi as per rules and regulation dito need ng tenant mag labas ng pera para sa 2 months deposit, 1 month advance plus 1/2 ng rent para sa utility deposit. Hi @franzeriksantoyas925, sorry late reply po. To answer your question po based as experiences namin sa iba ibang company dito Magkakaiba po Yung benefits per company. So far cover naman hospitalization and insurance nadin. If we’re going to compare sa PH call center companies mas Maganda Yung package ng HMOs compare dito.
Hello po UA-cam Channel Guide, apologies po for the late reply. As far as we know po, wala naman pong pinipiling country yung mga Talent Acquisition Specialist. May mga kasama nga kaming kapwa nating Filipino na from Dubai and other Arab countries but they were able to land a job here in KL.

@@MarkKimTV wow did not expect a reply maraming salamat po sa inyo, more power.
Sir saan po pwede maghanap ng rooms or apartment or condo rent?
Hope this helps po. Salamat po sa support 🙇🏼
Thank you po for sharing your experience! May idea po ba kayo regarding sa expat tax?
Hi Janel Lunar,
Glad that we are able to provide info po sa inyu. Yung tax deductions po Nila dito is very reasonable compare satin. Pag naresidence tax kana parang 8% Lang binabawas sa monthly pay mo. Yung unang 6 months Lang po yung Malaki kasi nasa 28% - 30% yung tax deduction kasi Hindi Pa resident status. Please note na yung deduction mo ng 28% or 30%, Ma rerefund yan sayu so parang savings mo Lang din siya. This quarter po tax filing na for year 2021 and yung tax refund usually pumapasok sa bank account after a month ng pag file mo ng tax.
Check with your company nlng po kasi iba iba po yung terms nila sa tax deduction yung sinasabi po namin is just based sa naexperience po namin.
Thank you po again. Stay safe po 😇
Thank you po for a very detailed info. Mam ask ko lang po, pwede ba na Ph passport holder magpunta diyan as tourist then directly na diyan mag apply sa Call Center? Will they sponsor yung work visa po?
Hello @lionking_e, glad to hear na we are able to provide helpful information po. To answer your question po:
Yes, visa upon arrival po yung PH passport holder if you intend to visit Malaysia as tourist. Pwede po yung scenario na binigay nyu but it would be on your own risk. Most of the BPO companies po dito nag process naman ng working visa/permit once you will be hired.
How about taxes po? I just find out it was 30% for the first 6 months. :(
Hi @restacalisang8951, thanks for watching and for taking the time putting your comment.
My first thought you guys are working in entertainment line. Interesting.
You can get greater than 3500 po😊
Hello Nostalgiclass, apologies for the late reply po. Was out of the country with limited internet access. It’s nice to hear na you received an offer po. What we noticed here pag nasa pinas po yung applicant nag start yung offer nila sa RM3500 + incentives but you can definitely negotiate po. Yung offer usually varies sa role and position. I hope this info helps po. Thanks again for watching. 🫶🏻
Yes po, she can definitely negotiate. ❤️

Is it cheaper if working in Johor? Does the salary range differ for there too?
I heard na hiring daw sila.

more on backoffice lang po ba dyn? pde po undergrad? i have 9yrs bpo exp.
How did you apply sa TDCX po?
Hi po, hindi po related sa video pero I just want to ask if may idea po kayo sa process. Nabasa ko po kasi possible dalhin yung common law partner if employment pass category 2 holder. May idea po ba kayo sa process?
Hi Reubens, thank you po sa pag watch and pag comment.
To answer your question po, yes that’s correct po.
@@MarkKimTV thank you po. May idea po kayo how to process it po? Like dapat po ba employer or ako po dapat?
Since under po kayu sa visa ng company, you need to let your employer know about it. Yung pag process ng dependent should be coming directly sa company Hr po but sometimes it varies din.
@@MarkKimTV salamat po.
Strict po ba sa medical pano pag may high blood pressure pero controlled namn kasi may maintenance naman at fit to work naman dto sa pinas nasa bpo din ako😊
