    There are tons of coming of age movies coming out. It's just they aren't studio pictures for the most part anymore so they aren't getting the wide release. It's a business problem, not a "project" problem, that these folks aren't aware of them.

    I know I’m probably in the minority, and that’s okay…but having lived in the eighties, I couldn’t stand my peer group-I really was treated as some kind of alien-and I couldn’t stand the movies that celebrated that _NORMAL AMERICAN TEENAGER,_ whatever _that_ meant.
    But I am a horror movie fan, and I migrated to the books-thank Heaven or Hell for Stephen King and Clive Barker-and I would later discover the 70s Eurocult films, in which young people didn’t behave like cartoon imbeciles, but young adults! I even now can’t watch a lot of 80s movies because of that baggage…
