I got the impression from reading a few things about Mike Meyers that he was difficult to work with. There are people in Hollywood whom other stars gush about and say that they love them. And then there are others that they don't talk about, or are rather guarded in what they say. Nobody wants to bash somebody who might give you your next job. I wonder if she was holding back on what he was really like.

A brilliant man, fabulously kind and gentle and of course one of the best comedians on Earth. Mike is a genius. It would be wonderful to do something with him again." and revealed she turned down a role in the 3rd one because she was pregnant.
This interviewer keeps inserting scenarios, interrupting, and asking super leading questions where the answer is Yes/No. Like that thing he asks her and she says no, and instead of letting her say what actually happened he asks the same exact question again but with more examples and details; as if she needs help understanding the question. Dude, she already said no. Let her talk.
Yeah I found the interviewing quite awkward, there was a lot of interjections and assumptions being made rather than just listening to the response. It was like the interviewer wasn’t really listening but just waiting for their chance to talk or add something.
Rehearsing the "funny" out of it for the sake of the actors makes perfect sense. By the time they roll the scene nobody thinks anything is funny because it's not supposed to be. Ties right into what Heather was saying about Myers thinking things through and approaching it scientifically.
Michael Rosenbaum did an interview with somebody a few months back who I think talked about working with Myers and it seemed like he thought that Myers torpedoed himself. He became uncertain about the things he was working on and backed out of at least one project. So he may have lost his nerve.
