T800 100%. Always looked great. Love the look when floater tires are used on the front end. Last page in the Kenworth T800 brochure, beautiful green T800 with a studio sleeper.
Try 12 years into the design of the cab also I have also owned a T 660 I will never buy another Kenworth again just for a cruise control switch $134 ridiculous. You’re paying for a name not a product I would never own one again the cab is too small especially for other than owner operator use local use might be OK other than that ditch it
People thought that the T880 was going to push the T800 out of production, but here many years later it's still hanging on strong considering. You said something that stood out to me how you said how these are different trucks and you also said how you can tell that they come from the same manufacturer. Which can be said about the W990 and W900, different trucks, yet from the same manufacturer. It's all about what works for you and what's your preference. It's ok if someone likes one over the other and that's why we have choices and options.
Yup. That's a big part of the connection that I was making as I did this....but kinda wanted to leave the W990 out of the video to avoid all of the hate comments. lol
I personally like the T800 better. It is a true classic. Have never driven a T880, but I have a T800. Logged a lot of miles with a T800, and well It was the best truck I have ever driven. I feel that some of to days trucks look like spaceships. That's what I feel about the T880. The T800 is like a 57 chevy, a true classic!
I just can't understand why truck owners still go for the T800 when the new model is better in terms of comfort, as it has happened in my country... the T880 has been on the market for almost two years now and is not popular at all, is there a reason for it?
Nice videos, gotta say that I'm a fan of the T800 over the newer style, I've owned a wide and narrow cab and while the slightly increased space is definitely nice, the narrow cab, well it's cozy and feels like a hug, and that's just nice.
It's funny that you say it that way. I've always felt exactly the same about the 1.9m cab (the T800 and W900 cab). It's cozy. I did not want to say that in the video though as I knew that the internet would unleash it's fury upon me. LOL
T880 all day for me, the bigger cab is greatly appreciated for someone over 6 foot tall. I don't like having the ignition key only two inches away from my knee like the cab of the T800 is set up. Though I must disagree about the eight bag air ride, as that is what my T800 has and it is the roughest riding air ride I have ever driven.
I've driven both for pulling a sidedump. I'd take a T800 with an extended day cab all day over the T880. The cabs on T880s just don't hold up as well as the T800s.
I run a 09 t800 with a cat motor. Im 6'1" and it can get kinda cramped at times when im out on a 3 day run in a daycab. But i wont give that truck up for anything, perfect size and set up for what i do everyday. Plus mine has those nifty rounded corner windows. Havent found anything with that kind of visibility yet. And ive run a lot of different day cabs
When I got out of the T800 that I had brand new back in 2007 and got in my 1st T880 back in 2014 you couldn't get me to go back to my T800. The space and how it felt a drove were enough reasons not to. For starters once I saw pictures and that Kenworth video I liked the truck . I had already determined that the T880 was gonna be my next truck and pitched that to the boss. That truck was spec'd in late 2013 and built in May of 2014 and took delivery in early July. On my 2nd T880 and I don't see myself going back to a 1.9 meter cab truck. I do wished that the T880 had the diamond tuck/trim headliner. It's mixed feelings between these 2 great trucks hear at C.L.S. some like one ovee the other and the boss is neutral when it comes to both trucks. Another great video and I look forward to seeing what's next
Thanks Wayne!!!! I had to cram this one in with less time than I wanted to give it.....next one should start being back up to snuff!!!

If you haul heavy it will overheat. Especially if your sucking in filthy .If you get the autoshift, it will last a out 300k. Just like the cummins engine. Basically the truck is trash after 3 -5 years. Plus constant issues with Def/dpf .
2 months ago I would have said T800. I loved my 2010 T800 60” aerodyne high roof. In 2017 I got a T680, and while I liked it I kept day dreaming about my T800 or a W900. Last month my 680 was in the shop for a week and I had a 2017 T800 as a rental the T800 in a word SUCKS. The throttle sucks the visibility sucks the clutch sucks the sleeper sucks. The new cabs T680, T880, and W990 are a huge leap forward just nobody will admit it cause “tHe NeW oNe LoOkS dIfFeReNt”
Kenworth T800 the old boah all the way. We got a 250k mile one that is excellent. 8 speed Eaton. Enjoyable trick to drive. Used to be a drywall boom truck the forks grapple got took off it. It’s gonna probably get a Fassi or a Cormach boom installed on it with a hook and winch system. Motor is a C15 Acert 475HP, trucks a 2006. It’s got a prentice boom on it currently we can’t do recovery work with that so it’s coming off and being sold. We are thinking about installing a heavy duty long reach fassi boom or cormach boom, and a winch system and hook grapple so we can swing and have it bend places for recovery work. We still leave the bed on the truck too to put the vehicle/rubble etc on. May add rear outriggers. The truck only has it in the front. It was a drywall truck originally. Took good care of.
I drive a 2013 kw t800 with duel external breathers and duel stacks with an aluminum end dump I love the classic look! Down side is I only have 120 gal fuel capacity, a lot of evenings I come in to the yard/fuel island pretty much on empty!
The biggest single issue I have with most modern tractors, no matter which brand or model, is the composite headlights. I haven't seen one yet that doesn't need replacement every few years because they get cloudy. The T-800, and a few others have real headlights and that would definitely be a selling point to me. Those composite units need to be made of glass if you ask me.
You are right for day cab ill go with the new cab but long haul not all the lesson been learned. i drive a 2015 t680 waiting for my 2007 w900l to get back from engine rebuilt and im a little disapointed all the storage apart the wardrobe dont close properly. The Areo sleeper is still king for me.
Understandable. Some people just like the old studio and I can understand it. Personally, I like the newer ones....but that's just personal preference.
I have had the T800 for 450,000 Miles and the T800 for 130,000 Miles I preferred the T800 Now the T800 was mx13 and ultra 13 The T880 CX15 and ultra 10 With the smart wheel Put the power of the CX15 with the ultra 13 and smart wheel in the T800 you would have fire me to get me out!!! I do like your line about a good driver adapts. Keep on doing what your doing I find interesting and educational !!!!
Seems like the 2.1M cab is a real selling point, especially with the smart wheel. (I don't get the W990 hate, either, but I understand some folks just gotta stick to their tradition.) I still recall all the hate when the first T600s came out in what, 1986? Gawd. But most of those who drove them like the truck. I'm still tossing the 680 v. 880 issues in my head. Looks like the project will move up a bit, too - I think we will be into it before we move, by as much as 3 years.
Nice!!!! The 2.1m is definitely the way to go. For what you guys are doing, the T880 may be a slightly better bet for ground clearance and things of that nature. Plus, the wide base tires may be better to keep things afloat.
@@dougmitchell5435 I've worked with them before on a number of quotes. It's the same as with any other body builder though.....they let us know what they need to do their specialty and we work to set things up the best for that.
As a 30 year driver in highway & oilfield I have driven a lot of T800. Never sat in a T880 until 3 months ago. The cab feels a lot bigger than theT800. Headlights are a 1000% improvment over the800. Low beam very adequate without blinding oncoming traffic. Highbeams are spectacular. Like turning on a led lightbar. To drive feels no different. Kinda miss the little window in bottom of passenger door.
Рік тому
Your right the lights are brighter ,but they burn out all the time and the t880 is so cheaply built. It literally falls apart day by day.
Рік тому
Just get a w900 and put some good lights on. The 990 is a plastic disaster. It's going to fall apart .
Рік тому
It would be nice If truck drivers weren't complete idiots. They will drive any automatic plastic gimic you give them if it means they can be more lazy.
I just like the t800 almost all of the trucks I've driven have been a pete or kw with the 1.9 cab and I have driven a t880 before but I just like the feel of the smaller cab the 880 may be better to some people but that's fine I just like the feel of the 800
I've driven t800s my whole life, and the company I work for bought 2 new t880s (one with ultrashift 🤮). They are comfortable and I'm sure most people would like them, but for me personally I think the t800 interior is more comfortable and intuitive. The t880 switches and buttons feel scattered to me with the steering wheel ECT, and the cab is so quiet and smooth I forget I'm driving a truck. I wont complain driving either but the t800 has stood the test of time because it's comfortable and intuitive yet utilitarian and affordable so it will always be my first choice.
I love American trucks. I do not know much about trucks I know a lot about cars and I live in the UK where trucks look boring and are designed like boxes. It would be nice to import a Kenworth in the UK. Whenever people see an American truck here in the UK everybody is like wow that is so cool. My favorite American trucks are Kenworths
I drove a 2019 T880. The cab was very spacious but it had an Eaton Fuller auto and it sucked. Later they bought with Allison autos, much much better. Love those Allison’s autos
I drive a T880 X15 10speed 336 rears I love it. Love my stick shift trucks. Helped a friend pull start his truck in the check-in line at a depot yesterday. He had a stick. I had a strap. His starter fried. Auto he'd would have been waiting on a tow truck. And messed up depot traffic . Wish I could exit the cab of my T880 to the deck plate without climbing down and back up again. (Full air shield gets in the way.and the trailer is still 5ft behind cab. External side grab handles should be standard on all trucks. Screw Aerodynamics they're safer when I'm scrubbing the windows and mirrors. Need a grab handle to get on top of the steer tire to change wipers cab lites. And scrubbing the bugs off the windshield. I've lost a wiper in a blizzard before. Could you put separate motors on the wipers to protect the glass From wiper arm gouges. Love your posts.
Thanks Jerry! All great ideas! On the wiper part, I actually keep a spare set in my car for just a reason. Usually, it's just keeping the old one. Just a thought. :D
@Kenworth of Richfield I prefer the T800 not only because of the look but I've driven both the 2.1 meter and the 1.9 and I've found the 1.9 meter has a little bit better build quality and is a little quieter. Plus it's tried and proven.
NYC/long island/jersey are FLOODED with t880's.. guys are getting real good with them. matching fenders, tons of chrome, drop visors, can't beat either truck. #KW oh.. the new t880 set forward steer axle is nice too
I drive a t880 and I like it ,but I don't like the def and the blower motor keeps going out.i have also driven the t800 and have less problems, but not as nice.
My employer has 2 2017 t880s and 5 t800 ranging from 2004-2013 all except two of the following trucks has isx or isx 15 power. The t880 cab is nice it has way more leg room, lunch box room and more glass area nice gauges also. How ever the new cab does feel to plasticky to me. T800 cabs feel tighter better built and I like the classic feel. I'm 29 so I really can't be called old school either lol. I will say the t880s seem to cool much better than the 2013 t800 I drive with the same hp. Not sure why this is but the fans on the t880s come on much less than on the t800s even the old pre 07 trucks run more often. We have one of our t880s as a dump truck and our 2013 t800 is also a dump both are 450hp isx15 8spd with 4:10 gears. Both have the same beds the same drop axles and the same tires. The 880 weighs about 600lbs less than the t800 not really sure where the weight difference is but that's the difference. Visibility over the hood on these two dump trucks is about the same how ever the t800 has the old school mirrors and have better visibility compared to the newer style power mirrors. These are just my observations but figured someone might find it helpful.
Interesting takes on it Eric. I actually like the T880 mirrors a bit better than either style of the T800 mirrors. They seem to have better visibility for me. The cab room is nice to have. :D
Love the spacious cab of T880. However, I hate the automated transmissions. Truck will often hesitate and stall in traffic. Especially crossing intersections. For some reason the computer wants to hold the clutch at that time. Great truck if it only had a standard. Nothing beets human control. Also, remove hidden surveillance equipment.
I have yet to drive an auto that can compensate for a manual transmission clutch in the snow. Not saying they are not out there but automatics have a long way to go imo
For years kenworth built a reputation on its doors and cab Why didn’t they keep their door / cab design and just widen the cab T800 cabs are being made in Mexico now because of union labor I was told So is cost cutting the reason for the car door hinges on the t880 cab like other brands Kenworth cab was always the big selling point for longevity Can’t see the t880 cabs holding up on the c500 trucks like the traditional cab Taller drivers I know prefer the old cab for the legroom Will t880 offer extended cab in future.
Mixed feelings from me. My company hauls heavy smoothbore tanks. 8 axle trailers. 150k gross. The fleet is all extended day cabs. The baby sleepers. 500hp isx15 18sp manual Fuller's. 8 bag suspension. I started in a 2019 t800. All my prior ones were the old interiors. The 2019 was a massive upgrade for me. Cab was considerably quieter, the LED gauge backlighting and switches were oh so nice. I loved it. The modern mirrors offered so much more visibility than the old west coast style mirrors. Storage abounds even for a mini sleep. We just got a handful of new 2020 T880s. I've logged a fair number of miles in both. The ride on the 880 is considerably more pleasant than the 800. The cab suspension design is a huge improvement as are the seats over the 800. But I do like the positioning of the 800 seat over the 880. I like being tucked back deeper into the cab. You're sitting next to the window in the 880 unless your legs are a mile long and you can kick the seat back. I'm 5'11". The 880 main cluster info center and gauge font is nicer but I wish they had cool white lights instead of soft white so they match the auxillary gauges on the center stack. I like the column mounted Jake. I like the HVAC system better. I like the stereo location better. The 880 feels like it has so much more visibility out the front. Like you're outside almost. But I miss being able to look out my window and see my fender and know exactly where my hood is in tight spots. Storage is abysmal compared to the 800s. The wider cab took out the corner pockets behind the seats, the bins under the top shelf are gone, but the storage pockets above the windshield are actually usable as opposed to the 800s that would throw anything you put up there back at you. I like the LED interior lights on the 880 but I do miss the ability to put colored LEDs in the old housings of the 800. The 880 switches are an improvement functionally. The backlight indication is much appreciated over the separate blinding green indicator of the 800s. The guarded switches though, feel loose and floppy and wiggle around a bit. The headlights are so much more effective on the 880. Honestly im surprised that they stuck with sealed beam tech for as long as they did. Out of the box they suck, but there are upgrades available that nullify that shortcoming now with LED technology. The missing back window is disappointing. For our drop and hook routes, flipping that shade up and having that window was a huge help for guys that couldn't always line.up the best in the dark with their mirrors. The 880 traction/stability control does not like multi axle trailers. At all. The 880 can be scary as hell when you're loaded and taking a curve and the truck stabs the brakes and rips the wheel straight mid turn. Huge deal breaker right there. Misbehaving safety systems are a big no bueno. Being home daily, the narrower cab was nice for me. I put my lunch bag on the passenger seat. Stayed cooler because it was off the floor, could reach anything in it without struggling like I do in the 880. Honestly I still want my 800 over the 880. But if there was a way to adapt the updated cab suspension to the the 800, there would be no reason to even look at an 880 for me. The ride of the 880 is so much nicer. But the shortcomings of the truck just don't make the better ride worth it. 🤷
@@KenworthofRichfield the real deal breaker for me and a lot of our drivers is that damn stability control system that acts up to varying degrees with our multi axle trailer setups. The tandem axle small tube trailers are fine, but 99.9% of our fleet is super tankers. The way they act up is ridiculously dangerous. A couple trucks have already tried driving off the backside of curves with a load. The rest is menial bullshit that I could deal with either way. Little less storage, more space to move around, better light, less customization. Better ride, less desirable seating position. All fair enough trade offs. I don't pay for the truck so I'll drive what they give me keys to. 🤣
I'm sure production #'s are 1 thing, but when my dealer says he can get me a new custom ordered T880 in 6-8 weeks, but a new T800 will take 12-16 weeks ?? That has to mean something?? Says they are phasing them out?? Guess all good things must come to an end ?? But hopefully not too soon....
Simply put, the factory in Chillicothe has a ton more capacity to make trucks. That's the biggest part of it. The 1.9m cab of the T800 will be going away eventually, we're just not sure when. The demand is there still, so they'll keep making them. :D
I will keep my T800 extcab, we have 6 t880s I cant stand the new firmer seat. Mirrors dont give me my same views backing blindside into my garden centers. And for door hinge. We have one truck that drops 2" when its opened.
The t800 ! 100% with a cat 3406E and a Eaton 18 speed with a set of 44s at rears! Air ride ?? Yeah ok air ride however, Chalmers get the job done to !! Great traction , that t880 Kenworth they can keep that !
I am use to a manual transmission only. I feel that if you can not shift a truck, you should not be on the road driving one. Learning how to shift is proof of experience. Again the T800 in this film is a much better truck to me!
Only thing I can say is I would pick either as long as it doesn't have 8-bag. My t880 with 8-bag is tippy and slides alot as a dump truck. My old w900L with new-way is so much better.
My grandpa told me "never ever buy a brand new model of anything it's going to have "teething" problems", so we'll see if the T800 is still such a popular model that KW is still selling them even with T880 is in production, or will the T800 fade out, only the miles will tell. As for the other truck, if you're a HOOD LOVER the W900 is the king of the road for a reason! As for the W990 are you kidding me, aero on a hood truck? Who are they trying to kid, gimme the real HOOD on the W900! We ain't looking at a hood truck for the AERO, we're looking at it cause iT'S A HOOD!
The trucks do have some different specs and options, but typically, the T880 ends up being lighter. This T800 is 16,167 LBS and the T880 is 16,349 LBS.
To ellabirate a bit my biggest 2 gripes is the side mirrors being plastic, and the headlights being an assembly. I think overall it's a highway version of the t800. Are both rugged? Sure. But overall I'd rather stick with a well known easy to find parts classic. There is also a reason our fleet it going back to Cummins with true Manuals.
Can’t stand the 880. Stuck in the damn thing. Next new truck we get, I get to spec my own. Be the 800. 880 is garbage off highway in the Pacific Northwest. Just pavement pounders. They didn’t build them to be packing the big iron in the brush. Cabs are garbage! Can’t take the the vibration of being on gravel roads grossing 180k. 800s have done it with no problems since they came out in 1987.
I spend 10 to 12 hours a day in a truck and i have to say the T880 is way more driver friendly than the T800 whoever designed this truck is a blessing to anyone who drives one.!! The Mack pinnacle has to be the worse.
The t880 is so significantly better its actually ridiculous people still buy t800s the difference is incredible, this video didnt even get through a quarter of the changes that make t880 so much better. Then theres also aerodyanmics u will save a solid 3 grand+ a year on fuel with t880.
T880 i drive everyday. T800 is a real true kenworth 880 feels like a freightliner or Sterling or something, definitely not a kenworth. The T800 is the best, intimate quieter, built like a true truck not a large ford pickup. Sorry kenworth screwed up with the 880, cheap feel, harsh ride, noisy and mirror placement sucks!, sun visors on 880 do nothing with the larger window area! Theyre too high to work. I drive long haul both 880 and 800. 800 wins everytime. The 880 will not hold up like a 800, no way. Just my $ .02
10 speed stick and 10 speed auto is garbage haha. What are you going to pull with that? That gearbox is no good on hills. Might make a good yard pup, but cmon 10speed👎. It's good truck when you can use it to pull loads and make money with an 18 speed.
@@KenworthofRichfield I know that most automatics the computer does the shifting and it's pretty close to manual and still it's slower than what most seasoned truckers can shift anyway. Works great when you're empty and in traffic of course. But the autos have no balls once your up to 9th or 10th gear(18 speed). The computer hesitates here and often misses this shift. Usually when loaded going up hill. My first comment I was complaining about the transmission being a 10speed instead of a 18 speed. I truck the rocky mountains of b.c with 63500kg on a set of super b's. The automatics are good for big companies with fat wallets and company drivers who our hourly. These companies will have new drivers that couldn't drive manual, so it would make sense for auto ( come to B.C and you'll see what I mean ) With ten speed gearbox you're limited to what you can haul. Being able to split each gear in an 18 speed is what makes a truck pull
Horrible review…. The switches in the 880 are further away from driver. The exterior of the 880 can’t hold a candle to a dressed up 800. I’ll take the 800 all day over that 880
Josh the camera/setting that washes everything out is the worst. I’m sure is for drama but I hate it. Everything else is fantastic! Keep up the good work.
Agreed.....but what's tough is that when I have to be on both sides of the camera....and a cloud moves or something changes slightly, it blows out like that. It's why it's so tough being on both sides of the camera. Honestly, I prefer being behind it.....

I've driven both for pulling a sidedump. I'd take a T800 with an extended day cab all day over the T880. The cabs on T880s just don't hold up as well as the T800s.
Love the fact that they didn't discontinue the W900 and the T800
Exactly, these two trucks aren't gonna discontinue, because they continue to build T800 and W900 trucks according to Kenworth.
Well Josh you know which truck I’ll pick......... but you should do a segment on the T800 HH. 👍

Hahaha. It's funny how things like that work, no?
Can understand that. I've found that the restore kits work well on them.
I have had the T800 for 450,000
Miles and the T800 for 130,000 Miles
I preferred the T800
Now the T800 was mx13 and ultra 13
The T880 CX15 and ultra 10
With the smart wheel
Put the power of the CX15 with the ultra 13 and smart wheel in the T800 you would have fire me to get me out!!!
I do like your line about a good driver adapts.
Keep on doing what your doing I find interesting and educational !!!!
Thanks Rich! I can understand what you're saying in it. There's a certain "cozy comfort" about the T800 to me.
@@KenworthofRichfield Just out of curiosity, how much do you interact w/aftermarket custom sleeper folks?
Your right the lights are brighter ,but they burn out all the time and the t880 is so cheaply built. It literally falls apart day by day.
Just get a w900 and put some good lights on. The 990 is a plastic disaster. It's going to fall apart .
It would be nice If truck drivers weren't complete idiots. They will drive any automatic plastic gimic you give them if it means they can be more lazy.
I just like the t800 almost all of the trucks I've driven have been a pete or kw with the 1.9 cab and I have driven a t880 before but I just like the feel of the smaller cab the 880 may be better to some people but that's fine I just like the feel of the 800
Totally makes sense! The 1.9m cab just has that "cozy" feeling.
Can stock T800 be built to an OTR work horse for reefer, van and or for flatbed?
@@KenworthofRichfield I keep spare lites wipers and assundries I even have a 2x12 3ft long as a rock kicker.
Two very nice trucks you make hard to pick one to buy but I still like the 9 and the 990 but wondering what the sleepier sizes of the 800 and 880 ?
They are the same cabs as the W990 and W900.....so the sleepers are close in size.
I'll take a T800 or a T800W any day over the T880. It's really personal preference depending on if you like the 2.1 meter or you like the 1.9.
Very much a personal preference. I can see why people like both of them. To me, The T880 is is....but I totally get the T800 crowd.
#KW oh.. the new t880 set forward steer axle is nice too
Just look at someone like Bryan Lyons.......his Rolls back looks amazing.

I’m driving a t-880 I like it and it’s a really nice truck I believe.
T800 is a better truck period.
Let's hear how. You've gotta be able to back it up. :D
I drive a t880 and I like it ,but I don't like the def and the blower motor keeps going out.i have also driven the t800 and have less problems, but not as nice.
Blower motor for the hvac? THat's a bummer. Not something that there's typically a problem with.
@@KenworthofRichfield The company I work for has about 60 t880 and everyone of the blower motors have been replaced more than once.
@@KenworthofRichfield I like the look and full power of them but for some reason I have a harder time backing up trailers with them lol.
@@ericchevy1999 You know where I'm going to place the blame on that one. hahahahaha
For years kenworth built a reputation on its doors and cab
Why didn’t they keep their door / cab design and just widen the cab
T800 cabs are being made in Mexico now because of union labor I was told
So is cost cutting the reason for the car door hinges on the t880 cab like other brands
Kenworth cab was always the big selling point for longevity
Can’t see the t880 cabs holding up on the c500 trucks like the traditional cab
Taller drivers I know prefer the old cab for the legroom
Will t880 offer extended cab in future.
Old school best in my book , Then again I'm old school 😂
All interesting points with it. It's funny how certain things can sway someone one direction or another. :D
I like my t800 for hauling oil in the oilfield hands down much better than the peterbilt I was running thats for sure.
T800 all day long over the 880
A classic guy?
A 2nd Generation guy...don't try to fix what isn't broken in the 1st place
Weight on same spec truck?
I'm sure production #'s are 1 thing, but when my dealer says he can get me a new custom ordered T880 in 6-8 weeks, but a new T800 will take 12-16 weeks ?? That has to mean something?? Says they are phasing them out?? Guess all good things must come to an end ?? But hopefully not too soon....
Simply put, the factory in Chillicothe has a ton more capacity to make trucks. That's the biggest part of it. The 1.9m cab of the T800 will be going away eventually, we're just not sure when. The demand is there still, so they'll keep making them. :D
Can you still get the T800 with a sleeper, or just a daycab now?
the t800 and t880 have the same bumper?
Thinking about buying an automatic t800 with 250k miles, are these transmissions reliable for local side dump hauling?
They very much are!
I will keep my T800 extcab, we have 6 t880s I cant stand the new firmer seat. Mirrors dont give me my same views backing blindside into my garden centers. And for door hinge. We have one truck that drops 2" when its opened.
We haven't had any of those problems...and the mirrors on the T680 are actually a bit bigger....
I see your point, but I love how the automated makes things that much easier.
The T880 has been around since 20113 (or 14).....so it's not a "new" model. It's really proven itself out there.
I like the T880 better
It really is a great truck.
Id take the t800
What’s the weight difference between the two?
The trucks do have some different specs and options, but typically, the T880 ends up being lighter. This T800 is 16,167 LBS and the T880 is 16,349 LBS.
Cool. Glad to hear the 880 is lighter. I wouldn’t have guessed that with the bigger cab.
@@johnrossi6212 It's all about the design.
T880 stands for more plastic.
It's a bigger cab, so yes.....but they use a thicker plastic in many cases.
3 years later the 880 is still trash.
What about the c500
Jake switch comes on but won't stay on and cruise doesn't work

T800 100% , any time , any OO know this
Can’t stand the 880.
What issues are you having with the truck Edward?
The T800 uses the B cab - not sure why anyone, especially a KW salesman, would ever refer to it as a "1.9m".
Because it's referred to that in quite a few spots also. :D
@@KenworthofRichfield I disagree. It's universally known as the "B" cab, as it very well should be, since its release in late 1982.

I spend 10 to 12 hours a day in a truck and i have to say the T880 is way more driver friendly than the T800 whoever designed this truck is a blessing to anyone who drives one.!! The Mack pinnacle has to be the worse.
Lol I agree the pinnacle is garbage I was trained in one in the oil field I was basically in his lap.
The t880 is so significantly better its actually ridiculous people still buy t800s the difference is incredible, this video didnt even get through a quarter of the changes that make t880 so much better. Then theres also aerodyanmics u will save a solid 3 grand+ a year on fuel with t880.

10 speed stick and 10 speed auto is garbage haha. What are you going to pull with that? That gearbox is no good on hills. Might make a good yard pup, but cmon 10speed👎. It's good truck when you can use it to pull loads and make money with an 18 speed.
What if I told you that both of the 10 speeds were the same transmission.....just operated differently.
These companies will have new drivers that couldn't drive manual, so it would make sense for auto ( come to B.C and you'll see what I mean )
With ten speed gearbox you're limited to what you can haul. Being able to split each gear in an 18 speed is what makes a truck pull
The 880 imo is a cheap truck throw away probably after a few hundred thousand miles
