The Philippines are in the tropics, so heavy rains can be expected from time to time. I would not be surprised to learn that this current situation is being exacerbated by El Nino. It makes me wonder how Mayon is affected by passing typhoons!
Hi geologyhub I would like to see a video about mt apo the tallest mountain or volcano in the Philippines because I leave near it in digos city I'm a new fan but I love your videos
Would you please tell us the country where these volcanoes are located? You don't often and I have no idea where they are on earth. Yes, I look them up after watching, but it would be helpful to the whole story if you simply told us in your video. Thank you.
imagine the climate was changing due to excess CO2 and bringing more and heavier rain, raising water tables and increasing ground water setting off more eruptions releasing more CO2 bringing more rain and raising water tables and setting off more eruptions releasing more CO2 and etc etc. oh wait....
So bad science says Rain causes earthquakes and Volcano eruptions! :D Got it thank you. lol Edit: please pay attention to the obvious :D in what I wrote, so you don't think I am being serious here. Others missed this
@@Deltaflot1701 That's a bit hard to tell, my dude, especially these days. Are you somehow not aware of all the YECs, the flerfs, the antivaxxers, etc? They say all sorts of weird shit that sounds like it should be a joke, but they're completely serious.
Cool that you made that connection.
Water is the ultimate energy transfer method. And steam is powerful.
This concept will be important if any big big meltdowns occur.
I am immeasurably disappointed that Mayon doesn't erupt with Mayonnaise
The Mayon volcano is not French or in France. That is why it doesn't erupt Mayonnaise 😊😂🤣

😂BAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA 😂Ok the chuckle that came out of me or rather the CACKLE woke my housemate and her boyfriend 😂😂😂😂
PRICELESS, thx for this
@@sinnedsinisterANOTHER BAHAHAHAHAHAHA🤣🤣🤣
It erupts, but it's so hot that it turns into lava 🙄
Yay finally! Thank you my favorite Geology channel! I didn't know rain can cause eruptions.
Awesome report ! Thanks for the thoughtful explaination.

I did not know that rainfall could trigger an eruption of that sort. Great video, thanks!
Mayon is in the Philippines for those unaware - like myself.
I had to google myself. There was not location on the video

Thanks as always!
Thanks for all of your hard work man!
Thank you.
Nice catch!
Daragang Magayon was just bidding us farewell, and reminded us that she is not to messed with.
Thanks.
What’s your opinion on mount rinjani
Mayon is the Philippines most active volcano seeing it erupt with little to no warining isn't to surprising!
Fascinating
Christopher Newhall (the one who devised the VEI) might be so glad seeing this eruption from his backyard at Santo Domingo, Albay.
Any thoughts on the earthquake in the Midwest that occurred a few days ago?
Does it happen most of the times it rains a lot? If not..

Make a video on the lava beds
This is straight out of 'Rings Of Power', water triggering a volcano.
Thank you for your explanation! I couldn't figure out why it was a phreatic explosion, being that there was no crater lake nor snow cap.
You never told us where mayon is.
Yes, i know, but i thought you might want to be aware of it.
Wow geologyhub you have some comical members🤣🤣🤣♥️

Guess you didn't watch the video, huh?
Unless this is a joke, you should watch it again, and not straight up say "it's bad"
