There's an episode where he and Wolverine were on a mission together during World War 2. War Machine & Dr. Strange are cameoed in the Phoenix saga. War Machine saving people and Dr. Strange sensing when the Phoenix does something. Also Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver are still Magneto's kids in this animated series.

I think Quicksilvers speed is based on a super fast metabolism. Some stuff he produces in his body. So it is a physical mutation and therefore Morph can copy it.

Theo James can calibrate the moral alignment of his voice, but he makes the same 'soft, whispering evil boss' tone that it unintentionally sounds like Jimmi Simpsons' Doctor Hemlock (The Bad Batch) despite having different accents. Don't get me wrong, it's really good voice acting and sounds exceptionally well, it's just that they have the same soundwave for this type of character.

Achara said she only was able to watch a few episodes from the first season. It's also understandable because even though all these characters are from Marvel, the MCU and the Fox Marvel films have been separated for so long, they probably forgot. I even met people who didn't even know that Fantastic Four were Marvel characters and have a huge connection with Spider-Man. So it's understandable. At least they know now 💪

True. Captain America can’t just show up in another country unless there is an outward threat. You risk an international incident or starting a war. When he went to Germany the war already existed. And any other mission he was working as a shield operative to contain a threat (hydra) avengers 2 and Capt 3 are good examples of this. However if no threat exist and he goes rogue or if an enemy is surrendering and he doesn’t give them due process it would not only be an internal incident but also a pr storm.
If Cap entered Mexico bashing heads without Mexico permission, it would cause an international incident. For example, the whole Mexico/Ecuador incident.
The song Bastion listens to at the end, "The Purple People Eater", is very fitting for his character. It's about a creature that comes to Earth that only targets "purple people" i.e. mutants as opposed to regular humans.
I think it's also important to remember that in the 90s series, Rogue absorbed the powers of Captain Marvel. So yeah, she's a Powerhouse. Just another emotional rollercoaster.
Nightcrawler telling Rogue she didn’t cause Magneto or Gambit to die but caused the to live actually made me cry. The writing for this show is just too damn good. It’s like how I felt like with Andor as a Star Wars fan, like it was almost too good to be true.
I think a huge chunk of motivation for Rogue's actions stem from not only survivor's guilt after the loss of Remy and Eric, but guilt and shame for choosing Eric over Remy. I also think that's why Magneto isn't mentioned as much because they're trying to give you an idea of Rogue. She screams "My man!"...I don't believe she meant Magneto.
Just to note, they didn't have a funeral for Magneto because they didn't have a body. While I don't think they were holding out hope he would be found alive (especially given what Rogue witnessed) he was still considered "missing." So I think they were waiting until they had cleared the rubble, or found more definitive evidence he had perished. Plus, Magneto's funeral would likely be a huge public spectacle, and will likely draw a whole lot of angry mutants looking to use his death as a flashpoint for war. And thus probably will get its own episode, assuming he's not publicly revealed to be alive before then. So yeah, Magneto's potential funeral is going to be a whole other can of worms.
It's not the MCU. That specifically refers to the movie-verse. It's just Marvel. All of the original comic books (X-Men, Spider-Man, the Avengers, etc) were connected, and the 90s cartoons are adapted from those comic stories.
I assume they didn’t give Magneto a funeral because they couldn’t find a body and assumed he was dead or at least dead until they find him. It’s kinda the same way there hoping to find Pryor. And the end of the episode shows that he was captured instead. That’s just how I took it.

In the comics, The Avengers & X-Men always had an indifference towards each other. So Captain America’s stance is in line with the books. The MCU is different from the animated series or the comics.
I pretty sure they are setting up Onslaught for season 2 as we see him talk about Xaiver and we see him holding Magneto prisoner. Onslaught is a combination of the consciousnesses of two powerful mutants, Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto, and has superior physical and mental powers. He can also possess the minds of others and use their bodies as his own. We could see the Avengers team up with the xmen or even see the avengers mind controlled to fight the xmen, anything is possible.

Perhaps he did have one, but since people would still be "shaky" about if Magneto was actually doing good, it may not have been attended by many X-men, and the most likely people to go under normal circumstances regardless of recent events (Rogue, Xavier, Storm) would not be present, and there is no reason to "film it" for the audience. - Also, if given a choice between Magneto and Gambit's funerals both the show, and the majority of the team would focus on the latter. 2. The show is setting up his unexpected survival at the end of the episode, so that explains why there wasn't any air-time dedicated to it. But these two reasons are also why there is no "funeral" for anyone else who died (Sebastian Shaw, Banshee, Dazzler, etc...), as in: we just weren't shown any others. The closest we get to see any other memorial is the one for Callisto and Leech. However there is likely a reason why there wasn't a funeral (yet): 3. Magneto was a BIG DEAL(TM), having been the leader of several mutant societies, including being Chancellor of Genosha. He was a recent public figure of interest due to his UN trial and subsequent pardon, and those who still saw him in a negative light consider him of the most notorious mutant terrorists. - If his enemies were to arrange his funeral, it would be in secret and discreet, like with for Osama Bin Laden - But more likely, there will be a ceremony in Genosha once search and rescue is finished (they were still fishing up bodies and survivors in this episode) to commemorate all the lost and unnacounted for. Magneto would get a state funeral as former chancelor and to recognize his efforts fighting for mutant kind including leading the defence of the people during the attack. More than just the X-Men would be invited / want to attend, as it would likely include major mutant leaders, and as many survivors as possible, as well as any world leaders for whom showing up wouldn't be political suicide.
The reason Magneto didn't get a funeral is , Rogue was holding Gambits body at the end of ep 5. So they had his body. Magneto's body hadn't been 'found' yet. So they'd be burying an empty casket. They were probably waiting to 'find' him. Also - how easy would it be to do a Xmen drinking game. Everytime Jean faints. drink. Every time Charles screams - drink Every time Wolvie pops his claws - drink. Whenever Rogue says 'sugah' - (or makes some sort of reference to a cat) - drink. lol OZT - is going to play heavy in the last 3 episodes. :)

This series is SO DAMN GOOD that it's painful. This is my childhood brought back to life some 30 years later. It just feels so good to walk back through those memories again, love cartoons this way again, this time with my kids enjoying it along with me.
The 90s cartoon had a whole episode of Wolverine and Cap in WW2. Also a crossover with the Spider-Man cartoon. Marvel always kept the rights of X-Men and Fantastic Four for animation so it never had the limitations from the films for crossovers.

It’s not crossing over with the MCU. The X-Men and the Avengers, as well as every other hero and villain Marvel Comics has ever created, have always existed in the same shared universe. The only reason there haven’t been mutants in the MCU is because Disney/Marvel sold the film rights to other companies, i.e. Fox for mutants or Spider-man to Sony. Then Sony said, “Hey Marvel? Wanna use Spidey in your MCU flicks? We finally wanna make a buck off the guy.” Or something like that.

Confirmed Avengers are in this universe and are the comic accurate ones. Hell Scarlet Witch Magneto daughter version is in this universe. The real Hulk the one that is not weaken.
Captain America appeared in the original X-Men cartoon as well. All of the 90s Marvel cartoons were in the same universe. The X-Men crossoved over into some episodes of Spider-Man, too.

Theo James can calibrate the moral alignment of his voice, but he makes the same 'soft, whispering evil boss' tone that it unintentionally sounds like Jimmi Simpsons' Doctor Hemlock (The Bad Batch) despite having different accents. Don't get me wrong, it's really good voice acting and sounds exceptionally well, it's just that they have the same soundwave for this type of character.
And he also voiced Hector in Netflix's Castlevania, not to mention Vesemir in Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.

I understand the confusion, but remember, the X-Men animated series didn't have the same restrictions the MCU had. They were able to follow the Marvel comics lore very well despite being a kids show. Since X-Men 97 is a revival of the same classic series, they can still keep that same Marvel lore. Hope this makes sense! 🙏🏽💪

In their previous videos, Jaby mentioned that he hadn't finished the original X-Men animated series. Plus, the episodes he watched were out of order. Achara said she only was able to watch a few episodes from the first season. It's also understandable because even though all these characters are from Marvel, the MCU and the Fox Marvel films have been separated for so long, they probably forgot. I even met people who didn't even know that Fantastic Four were Marvel characters and have a huge connection with Spider-Man. So it's understandable. At least they know now 💪

True. Captain America can’t just show up in another country unless there is an outward threat. You risk an international incident or starting a war. When he went to Germany the war already existed. And any other mission he was working as a shield operative to contain a threat (hydra) avengers 2 and Capt 3 are good examples of this. However if no threat exist and he goes rogue or if an enemy is surrendering and he doesn’t give them due process it would not only be an internal incident but also a pr storm.
If Cap entered Mexico bashing heads without Mexico permission, it would cause an international incident. For example, the whole Mexico/Ecuador incident.

Nightcrawler telling Rogue she didn’t cause Magneto or Gambit to die but caused the to live actually made me cry.
The writing for this show is just too damn good. It’s like how I felt like with Andor as a Star Wars fan, like it was almost too good to be true.
I think a huge chunk of motivation for Rogue's actions stem from not only survivor's guilt after the loss of Remy and Eric, but guilt and shame for choosing Eric over Remy. I also think that's why Magneto isn't mentioned as much because they're trying to give you an idea of Rogue. She screams "My man!"...I don't believe she meant Magneto.
Yes. I think a lot of her rage is with herself. Remy was killed before she could tell him she left Magneto after their dance.
Just to note, they didn't have a funeral for Magneto because they didn't have a body. While I don't think they were holding out hope he would be found alive (especially given what Rogue witnessed) he was still considered "missing." So I think they were waiting until they had cleared the rubble, or found more definitive evidence he had perished. Plus, Magneto's funeral would likely be a huge public spectacle, and will likely draw a whole lot of angry mutants looking to use his death as a flashpoint for war. And thus probably will get its own episode, assuming he's not publicly revealed to be alive before then. So yeah, Magneto's potential funeral is going to be a whole other can of worms.

It's not the MCU. That specifically refers to the movie-verse. It's just Marvel. All of the original comic books (X-Men, Spider-Man, the Avengers, etc) were connected, and the 90s cartoons are adapted from those comic stories.

In the comics, The Avengers & X-Men always had an indifference towards each other. So Captain America’s stance is in line with the books. The MCU is different from the animated series or the comics.
I pretty sure they are setting up Onslaught for season 2 as we see him talk about Xaiver and we see him holding Magneto prisoner. Onslaught is a combination of the consciousnesses of two powerful mutants, Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto, and has superior physical and mental powers. He can also possess the minds of others and use their bodies as his own. We could see the Avengers team up with the xmen or even see the avengers mind controlled to fight the xmen, anything is possible.

I loved seeing the moves Rogue became known for in the Vs video games.
Aside from the common comment of "because there is no body", there could be several reasons why Magneto wouldn't have a funeral:
1. Perhaps he did have one, but since people would still be "shaky" about if Magneto was actually doing good, it may not have been attended by many X-men, and the most likely people to go under normal circumstances regardless of recent events (Rogue, Xavier, Storm) would not be present, and there is no reason to "film it" for the audience.
- Also, if given a choice between Magneto and Gambit's funerals both the show, and the majority of the team would focus on the latter.
2. The show is setting up his unexpected survival at the end of the episode, so that explains why there wasn't any air-time dedicated to it.
But these two reasons are also why there is no "funeral" for anyone else who died (Sebastian Shaw, Banshee, Dazzler, etc...), as in: we just weren't shown any others. The closest we get to see any other memorial is the one for Callisto and Leech.
However there is likely a reason why there wasn't a funeral (yet):
3. Magneto was a BIG DEAL(TM), having been the leader of several mutant societies, including being Chancellor of Genosha. He was a recent public figure of interest due to his UN trial and subsequent pardon, and those who still saw him in a negative light consider him of the most notorious mutant terrorists.
- If his enemies were to arrange his funeral, it would be in secret and discreet, like with for Osama Bin Laden
- But more likely, there will be a ceremony in Genosha once search and rescue is finished (they were still fishing up bodies and survivors in this episode) to commemorate all the lost and unnacounted for. Magneto would get a state funeral as former chancelor and to recognize his efforts fighting for mutant kind including leading the defence of the people during the attack. More than just the X-Men would be invited / want to attend, as it would likely include major mutant leaders, and as many survivors as possible, as well as any world leaders for whom showing up wouldn't be political suicide.
Captain America was in the original Xmen show teaming with Wolverine during WW2. Captain Marvel was in Xmen , and Spider Man.

The reason Magneto didn't get a funeral is , Rogue was holding Gambits body at the end of ep 5. So they had his body. Magneto's body hadn't been 'found' yet. So they'd be burying an empty casket. They were probably waiting to 'find' him.

This series is SO DAMN GOOD that it's painful. This is my childhood brought back to life some 30 years later. It just feels so good to walk back through those memories again, love cartoons this way again, this time with my kids enjoying it along with me.

Knew Emma diamond form was coming. In the comics she’s the sole survivor however in the comics by that time she had left the hellfire club and was a teacher of sorts to mutants. She actually emerges herself in her new diamond form holding one of her own dead students. I think that should have been done but they glossed over that arc of hers sadly.

It’s not crossing over with the MCU. The X-Men and the Avengers, as well as every other hero and villain Marvel Comics has ever created, have always existed in the same shared universe. The only reason there haven’t been mutants in the MCU is because Disney/Marvel sold the film rights to other companies, i.e. Fox for mutants or Spider-man to Sony. Then Sony said, “Hey Marvel? Wanna use Spidey in your MCU flicks? We finally wanna make a buck off the guy.” Or something like that.
