Hi Dave! Which transfer is best for pressing hats and caps using a hat heat press? ie. for truckers hats (synthetic fabric?) and 5-6 panel lifestyle caps, cotton twill? Do you recommend these transfers on any caps and hats?
Fantastic question! I'm a big fan of our UltraColor Max DTF Transfers or Goof Proof Screen Printed Transfers on hats & Headwear. We have a video here on using both of those products on foam front trucker caps: ua-cam.com/video/1nuo4ohgvYo/v-deo.htmlsi=nNbi6QbrGtNyQusC In this additional video, we're focused on printing DTF on a variety of different headwear: ua-cam.com/video/GvrGWID6Wl0/v-deo.htmlsi=k-ir0ro_0CqUybpZ It depends on your design and the total quantity you need- For smaller quantities, UltraColor Max is great, for larger quantities of 1 or 2 color artwork, screen printed transfers will likely be the best bet- Or if you can fit a print on a gang sheet you're already ordering for t-shirts.... EVEN BETTER! The polyester on foam front trucker caps (specifically OTTO CAP) are pretty resilient to heat, so both transfer types work well. Always happy to help out!
Great question Angie! You can cut up swatches to test these smaller samples or print them all on one garment as an easy guide/reference shirt. By printing on the left chest, you can use these smaller samples as an example to show to customers too. One creative idea I saw a decorator use was cut each transfer off of the shirt then mount each piece to a small square of chipboard and then put on a large ring binder- That way you essentially have a small flipbook of real printed examples (and you can even label the back too!)
Please I need your help Dave Tell me temperature and time how I can do. I am confused a little bit. I don’t understand I want you guide me please thank you so much much.😢
Time, Temperature and Pressure all vary based on the specific transfer type you're using. For the UltraColor Max DTF Prints use 290F, 12-15 seconds, medium pressure and a hot peel. For The Goof Proof Screen Print Transfers shown here use 365F, 4-6 Seconds (for single color / 10 seconds for multicolor) with firm pressure and a hot peel. You can always find application instructions in the box with your heat transfers or find them online: www.transferexpress.com/
@ brother it’s my first time so it’s making me confused. I like to showing you like my video what’s going on? So yes, and the machine have time and the temperature. But I don’t know how to make it like how many how many temperature lights the number 300 or like that so I don’t know even how many seconds it will be. I just make it but it’s difficult that’s why I need help from him.

All transfers come with temperature and pressure instructions. Go on their site and they have the settings there as well. 👍🏾✅
