- As we celebrate the memory of the great Ken Professor Philmore, enjoy this arrangement of Pan By Storm that he did for BWIA Sonatas for NY Panorama 1990. This was recorded in the audience so the quality is rough but the vibes are there!

😂 I will play the “professor’s advocate”and say he should have won in Trini and NY! I didn’t get to play in Trini but I did get the honor to play in NY. I guess everyone has a masterpiece but they both were!
I learned this song on all instruments in the band because it was a challenge and I loved it so much! We still have band members that can still play it!
In NY, Metro was the clear winner in 1990. The solo in Tell Me Why is still one of the best NY has witnessed!
Pro had time to really work on his masterpiece, giving Sonatas a much better version than Fonclaire. Had he done this in Trinidad, there was no way anyone could say he deserved second place.

The Trini version was good enough to win. Split hairs with Renegades, but nobody would've challenged the decision if they had placed first.
