*Fun fact:* The use of clocks played an important role during the death of Emperor Domitian. From a young age, the future Emperor knew through a prophecy the exact day and hour of his death. To prevent this, he locked himself in his private room when the expected time of death arrived and remained there for an entire hour, using a water clock as a timer. Once the prophesied hour finally ended, Domitian was convinced that the prophecy was false and allowed himself to resume his usual social functions. As soon as he opened the door of the room, a group of senators rushed to him and stabbed him to death. Someone had previously advanced the water clock an hour
This simply isn't true and there is zero historical records. The only thing you said that was accurate was Domintian was murdered. Everything else is a myth.
Yes! You can do great things in this world as long as you put your mind and probably wallet to it! Be inspiring, be remembered! Not sure if this was the answer you were looking for...
How about the history of Daylight Saving? When we Americans since no other countries does this, turn our clocks and watches an hour forward in the spring and back in fall.
I wouldn't say that. Throughout history every civilization has their own role to play when it comes to innovations that we use today. Who did what first is as important as who perfected it. Can't forget to mention the availability of resources and keeping of records also played a vital role.
@@tasrickhasan6899 I accept what you say. I am telling same philosophy regarding history of science and technology. But what is fact is , basic technology learned from mesopotomia ( Iraq ) and Egypt civilization.
I can tell by your accent that you're second generation Chinese American. People raised in homes where Chinese is spoken by their parents, and English spoken at school, tend to have subtle giveaways in their speech. Like you.
