- A new Minecraft world means new farms, and I thought, why not make them in a realistic layout by following real life reference! So I built a large farmhouse, animal barn and a bunch of realistic farms, along with enchanting a few of my tools!

The smoke stops the bees from turning hostile when you harvest from the hive. This is a temporary state and will, revert back to passive..... but they can kill you before that time runs out. Shears gives you honeycomb. This can be crafted into wax candles and also honey comb blocks.Glass bottles gives you honey which can be used as food or crafted into sugar.
Try this to make indoor plants place a big pot (which was added in 1.20), then place a small pot in it,then place a dead bush in it, then place leaves on it. And, you can create bee hives by using honeycomb and planks (use shears on a filled bee nest to get it)

Campfires beneath bee hives and bee nests keeps them from getting hostile when you harvest the nests & hives with either sheers or empty bottles. Enjoyed the video.

Disruptive, here is everything you need to know about bees.
1- The bee hive and bee nest are two different things, you can craft bee hives by shearing honeycomb off a bee nest and you need
planks for the recipe as well.
2- If you place the bee hives next to crops the bees will effectively act as bonemeal and make the crops grow faster.
3-The bees won’t get angry and sting you when you harvest the honeycomb if you place a campfire underneath it- which you have done.
4- If you click on the beehive with a bottle when it is visibly dripping with honey you will get bottle of honey which is actually a pretty good food source.

Only issue with the crafted hives is that you then need to populate them with preexisting bees.
Bees can be bred using any flowers in the game, including the cherry blossom petals.
Also, by growing a sapling while it’s surrounded by flowers, you have a percent chance of the tree spawning with a bee nest on it. This is usually much easier than searching in forests, imo, especially if you use mods that alter terrain generation.

Bees will follow you if you are holding a flower
If u harvest crops like carrot and potato
U should consider doing it with a tool that has fortune on it
U will get more drops compared yo the normal way
And this doesn't even take durability too

Putting mangrove roots in the water sources of your farms is a great way to not have to fall in when you harvest them! If you need extra light for mob-proofing you can also put glow lichen on top.
I love it! It would be awesome if you made a big ranch and collected every single type of horse in the game. There are actually tons of different horse types.

Adding a auto bone meal farm in the farm house for all the extra seeds or saplings you get from farming would work nice in the farm house. Also maybe a lava farm to help produce the fuel for all the furnaces. Or maybe a glow berry farm and or maybe a berry farm would look nice in a field. Love the videos and your builds!
Birch trapdoors on the front of barrels really make them look like kitchen cupboards 😊

I can’t tell if I like the lighting on unbound. There definitely is a lot of cool features on unbound but I feel like the noon lighting is just too bright even with the tweaks. I’m still trying to decide which one to use.
Funny enough, for once, you might have gotten away with no interior walls. Old farmhouses often only had one big room in which there was a fireplace and the sleeping space of the family. The Barns were also often connected to the house itself. I know, because my Grandmas house was an old farmhouse and my childhood bedroom? It was the area where the calfs were kept. That is why I had a window you could completely climb out of, because once upon a time it was the stable door to let out the calfes
Hi disruptive do u know that u can increase the harvest value of crops by using any tool which has fortune on it so I guess that potato field could find that handy 😉

I watched last night and promptly fell asleep! I didn’t even get to comment. I usually plant in rows but get annoyed with things falling in the water so I’ll either put trap doors to cover the water or I’ll use blue or brown carpet (if you want it to look like water, use blue, if you want it to look like dirt, use brown) so I can walk over and collect all items, and I’m not falling in, losing drops, or jumping on my crops.

Brother I've always used wooden frames as dinner plates when designing kitchens, and barrels are good for old timey mead halls designs especially if you can use tripwire as taps . You should try doing some underground trench, dugout, foxhole, campsite type build. I can show you a build design I've done I think you'll like and could spruce up a bit I just don't know how. But love watching you build mayne.

In real life campfires are used to smoke the nest to force the bees to get out while harvesting the honey, ini minecraft it is used so the bees won't attack you.

when using fortune on crops(more potato's, etc.) they drop more and don't use durability

Instead of using stone blocks for the kitchen platform....I would recommend barrels which are facing up and at the top of the barrels add an item frame

I'd move the bedroom upstairs for better realism and put a dining area downstairs. Bc realistically you wouldn't be able to carry food up a ladder to eat it. But build is very cute

Create mod idea you should make many custom villages and a railway station in them and a passenger train so villagers can come to work in your industrial city
Behives aren't super intuitive: You can harvest the honey from them by rightckliking with a glass bottle and as long as there is a campfire underneath, the bees will not aggro on you. The beast harvest pollen no matter what, but if the hive is dripping with hiney, nothing more will be produced. you can also use shears on the hive to harvest beeswax and breed bees with flowers. IIRC each hive can hold up to four bees
Put half blocks or trap doors over the water and things won't drop in it
farmhouse is a good mob house since dark with no lights. hehe.

feed the bees with flowers, to get more. they do have a habit of going away and getting lost.
