- Hey guys! This time I met the original Batman from the '60s with a twist of modernity...and some extra drum-fun!
For this video I had the chance to play the new Roland V-Drums TD-17, little BEAST of an electronic drumset :) (www.roland.com/it/products/td...)
Thanks to Roland Italy for making this possible and thanks to the Roland engineers for developing such cool technology!
And a speeecial thanks to my lovely wife Elena for tracking the vocals for eight '60s women...only she can do that - and in just a few minutes! eheh

Having listened to this several times on both normal and 0.25 speed, I can say with complete certainty that you absolutely crushed this! Quality drumming as always.
I know for a fact that managing the time, effort and mental stress or producing and perfecting everything from the detailed composition accompanying music to the thematic scripting(eg. that family guy joke) was no easy feat.
And I just wanted to say we know the process isn't as easy or as cheery as you make it seem, but keep on smiling my man.
This is indeed amazing to me and my God that is the coolest part about batman's theme music from the 60s and a little of dubstep into it

Like all your other pieces, this is a work of art. Wonderful stuff! As a side note, I'm also impressed by your ability to work a bass pedal with shoes on; I could never manage that. :-)
Most drummers play with shoes.... I'm interested in hearing why you couldn't to be honest. Lol.
@@BurnTheNuance For doing triplets, I needed to be able to move the bulk of the foot and the toes separately to achieve double notes. Never found a shoe flexible enough to make that happen. If this is entirely a "me thing", I can accept that. :-)
@@DocPaulie I don't know anything at all about drumming, but you mentioned you "never found a shoe flexible enough." I personally know someone who's (not a drummer either, lol, but) always going on about how much she loves the flexibility of her *Xero* "barefoot shoes," if that's any help.
The soles on those things are just barely there- thick enough to protect your foot if you step on something small and sharp, but not much thicker. They're minimalist sandals designed to feel like you're barefoot. I have no idea if that would work for you or not, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway. =^)

The looks or the sound? I'm pretty sure that if this audio was placed on top of a clip with an acoustic set, you wouldn't complain. The sounds of the Roland TD-series are exquisite. I do agree that an acoustic kit 'looks' cooler, but from a musical perspective that shouldn't matter.
Not really sure why it matters, but to each their own.
@@BramVanroy The sounds of the Roland kits aren't even close to exquisite, especially when compared to say a Pearl Mimic Pro or the ATV. The toms on the Roland after all the years of research still sound like machine guns...
@@Konsul135 I really must disagree. Even on my good ol' TD9 sounds superb. I don't understand why you would compare them to machine guns. In addition, as with almost any e-kit, you can change the sound to your liking. To each their own I guess, but I for one do enjoy the sound of electronic kits - even though I rather play acoustic ones.

You playing on the electric kit made me realize your acoustic drums are tuned strangely... maybe it's the bass drum on the acoustic kit sounds high or something
