Depends on context. If you want to improve as a player, it’s necessary to be able to see your improvement, what’s working, and what doesn’t work. The issue isn’t the meter, it’s the behavior of other players. Even if meters didn’t exist, this issue would still persist.
Don't need no damage meter to know who the loser players are. Just check that their item score is 1 pt lower than your own. BOOM. Loser care bear identified.

Honestly I think it totally just depends on the content you're aiming for in the game too. While not one of the best players, I still enjoy pushing mythic keys/raiding, so having details give me real time feedback on my performance is crucial to know whats working, when I'm slacking, or even why struggled on something. It's nothing more than data on how I'm doing, or what my group is doing. However it isn't uncommon for players to weaponize that data either.
@@TheSwaglockthat’s why I don’t agree with some of these addons being “the best for wow” as that should include what’s best overall for the average player if could just pick 5, and not best addons for specific things u know;)

Tell me 1 thing. Why devs of game can't actually make themselves these "addons" just as a regular thing? I mean why players have to work their ass off to make game look better or to make it playable cuz without addons its just garbage. I just don't understand why players have to take care of game for free and not devs which is their job to make game playable XD and it comes to ESO also and i guess many other games. I am totally new to WOW and at first instead of having fun i have to take care of downloading addons because game without those is unplayable and let's be honest IT IS unplayable. I'm not obligated to get them of course, but if they would remove addons or ban them I BET half of players would quit. Btw combat metrics are super toxic cuz people instead of playing having fun they just look who has the best score and if someone new can't keep up is kicked out of party. That is the most toxic thing ever
Honestly, it’s just something the player base has accepted. There have been plenty of times blizzard has implemented features from addons (and then those adding become obsolete). The most recent has been the total overhaul of the UI system for Dragonflight. It incorporated tons of stuff from addons. As for combat metrics. I don’t think they are toxic at all. Players can be toxic, but they will do so regardless of if combat metrics exist. If your performance is low enough that it’s hindering the group, you shouldn’t be in that difficulty to begin with. That’s okay. All players grow at different paces and prefer different difficulties of content. However, while some players can be toxic with elitism, I also feel like your remark was quite toxic as well. If you expect that other players should be required to let you play with them, even if your causing them to fail their objective, that’s kind of toxic. Instead of trying to decide who should and shouldn’t be allowed to play together, spend time finding a community you enjoy playing with. And if their standards are higher, work hard to reach them.
Was it toxic that i said that if someone is not keeping up is immediatly kicked out?XD I just said the truth. People tend to be like that. Maybe try to lecture someone or explain what to do give him/her 5min to absorb informations and try again. If someone is constantly failing after explanations, after watching yt sure this person should try lower diffculty. And besides i was talking IN GENERAL because i wasn't kicked out i just saw how people act in the chat section. And you pointed your whole statment TO ME and said that I AM TOXIC XD i expect NOTHING from people okay? Because most of the time people just suck. And dudes/bros that see some high combat results and then their "alfa man ego" is skyrocketing is just LOL. On top of that what is the difference if you kill boss in 5min or 8min for example? IT'S JUST 3 MIN you're not gonna build a house or end college meantime. @@TheSwaglock
@@fabulousacchi generally speaking, people arent kicked for slight underperformance. If that's happening, it's an issue of a toxic player and not metrics being toxic. I think the desire to have metrics hidden however is equally toxic. It emphasizes wanting to avoid accountability. Teamwork requires the whole team to work. Now what you're describing seems to be more in line with Raiding or Normal Dungeons. In which I agree, a slightly slower kill time is fine. Granted if a raid is constantly wiping due to the performance of a few players, then yes replacing them would be necessary in order to actually complete the boss. It's not fun to do, but it has to be done. I've pretty much never seen valid reasons for kicking players from normal/heroic dungeons (assuming they arent afk/trolling). However in M+ it's a different story. While players don't get kicked per se, players are much less likely to invite/join players with lower metrics. Why? That extra couple minutes on a boss fight could easily add up to being over time on a key. Now you've sunk 45 minutes into finding a group, arriving to the dungeon, and finishing the dungeon. But because you didnt time your key is now lower. You need to spend another 45 minutes to run your new key to get it to the same level as the last key, then on top of that run another dungeon to finally get it to the point you were aiming for. So someone's low performance on a boss actually costs an extra hour and a half to the player that invited them. So yeah, sometimes if you get into a key and it's obvious that it's going to go poorly, is it worth it to sink another half hour into finishing it, or just starting over? Im not saying you're toxic, but calling metrics toxic is a fairly toxic sentiment to hold. Metrics are accountability. The desire to remove them is only for the purpose of hiding performance to avoid improving performance.
It's all about taking things one step at a time and feeling where you're most comfortable! High end gameplay begins to require weakauras to keep up with mechanical difficulty. However most content in the game can be done without just fine
Weakaura's amazing. Can literally make an entire UI with it.
Great list of addons! All of them are supper usefull.
There were so many great addons it was hard to choose!
I wish players would stop saying a damage meter is necessary. Its just a thief of joy as others use it to bash other players.

thanks. I could not find it at first.

How to make resourses on mini map looks like points like old style?
I actually don't know. You'll want to check around to see what addons are available that would do that. I am sure one exists
Are all the good addons for WoW available on Mac?

What is the addon that fuse every bag into one ?
there's bagnon, adibags, ark inventory, baganator, baggins, combuctor and etc. could be missing a few
