"Dakota" (8:06) had me stopping, then replaying, twice. Very nice! The complexity of Parasyche's musical arrangement and strong performances by each individual band member made quite an impression, as well. Saturday is always a good day.

I liked the first 3. I really liked Mateo's tone but it's hard to not compare him to the guy from the Voice Germany., I think Mateo's actually reminds me more of the original but the guy from Germany reminds me of Hinder's version, which I prefer.

@@MarvinTheMusicMan That's one of the rare songs that I don't actually like the original. There was another female who did a great job with it too on one of your videos.

for your 'Attempt" not enough what do they call it.. vibrato? for Freddie? that distinct ruffling of the note. Listen to the original. it's very distinct.

Contrary to many positive comments posted on this Bohemian Rhapsody rendition/adaptation for the group to make this, their version of this classic music piece their own. Yes the musical talents/skills are there and without any doubts. But and let's be honest here, doing any cover of a Queen song is already a challenge onto itself. But doing so in rearranging the song to fit their style is sacrilegious though I admit I respect their will to even try it. But there are songs out there that you simply can't touch/change anything from it's original version and well, Bohemian Rhapsody is among one of them.
Don't get me wrong here, there are original songs which have been resurrected and given a second breath/wind at life thanks to bands taking the risks to change the songs in such ways that completely differ from the original version. One example comes to mind right away and that's "Disturbed's" version of the classic "Sound Of Silence" to which these/their changes were absolutely fitting. Through the decades there's been many attempts of bands trying to change classic songs and their original melodies. But by my recollection, some (small minority) have worked out, even though none come to mind right now but most have failed miserably and completely murdered the original song and more specifically their version that they were trying to make their own. There's songs that you simply can't touch nor try to make changes to make it their own and Bohemian Rhapsody is definitely at the top of such a list.
So, bottom line for me is, this band murdered this classic musical anthem and in the process completely made their version of it a complete disaster imo. There's nothing about their version that made me reconsider at any time during the song that I might been wrong or judged too early, too harshly. On the contrary the more I listened, the more I felt that my first opinions were justified. Their version was simply that bad and I'd probably say the same at any other bands trying to do the same with this song. Bohemian Rhapsody is just one of those classic songs you simply can't touch in any way, shape or form. This song is immortal as so is the singer who wrote and sang it. If we were to make a list of original classic songs that should never be touched in any way, shape or form, Bohemian Rhapsody would be at the very top of that list.
Hey Stephen, thanks for your comment. I think you may be missing the point on this rendition. They are not trying to do their own version per se, this is an impression video. They have done the song using the styles of about 20 different singers, mainly for fun but also a challenge.
I do agree with you though about covering the song and making it 'your own'...you simply couldn't...and shouldn't.
@@MarvinTheMusicMan Hey Marvin, it's been a while. Though I've been subscribed to your channel for quite a while now but no longer get your new material. I had to go to your main feed page and stumbled onto this video. I re-watched the video to understand what you meant because I usually listen to new material or covers from unknown singers or bands with my eyes closed so I can't be swayed by looks, gender, age. This way only the voice and music influences my opinions. Now that I've watched the video and seen all the faces of singers that the band's singer is trying to impersonate, so I now know their goal.
Glad to see we're on the same page that there's some songs that shouldn't be touched and especially this one. They should of chosen another song to make their musical experiment. It made me cringe, so much so that I started typing my comment without watching the video and ended it when done typing. Had it not been for your message, I would of been left with one thought/opinion.

Because as I previously said, even though I've been subscribed to your channel for quite some time now, I've stopped receiving updates from you on those. So I was wondering if you could help me out and give the link to that chain of threads so I can play catch up. And "no" I don't remember where I last left off, so any help to put me on the right path/track/right threads would be much appreciated.

P.S. I remember one list in particular where two girls blew my mind. One sang a Def Leppard song (Put Some Sugar On Me) and another sang "Paranoid" from Black Sabbath. I remember watching other lists you put together long after that one but can't recall where youtube stopped sending me your material/lists.

Hi Stephen, I've actually been in & out of hospital for the past 18 months, and so haven't been able to do any postings. I have been diagnosed with a condition called FND (Functional Neurological Disorder). Basically the signals between my brain and my muscles get mixed up. I was paralysed, but now learning to walk again.
I am however (hopefully) starting a new series in April.

Sorry to hear about your medical situation and I not only can feel your pain but can absolutely relate. I've had appointments at the hospital for tests pretty much every 2 weeks for all sorts of issues and had an AVC about 24 months ago and also had a minor heart surgery that went well so that I didn't need a pacemaker but was fucked up for many months but all almost came back to normal except for my balance which took more time and still affects me to this day. I just had a gastroscopy and Colonoscopy 24hrs ago. I have to see my cardiologist every 6 months and wear a holter for 24 hrs each time among other things. I take 21 pills a day for various conditions, which are a regiment of about 14 different meds for a total of 21 pills every 24 hrs. Oh and I have to inject myself with trt every week. I've got so many procedures lined up that I have had to put in place a legal DNR in my dossier. And from my blood work that came from my gastro issues plus what the doc found out and removed, I've just been prescribed two more meds, so add those to the 21 meds every 24hrs and I am now at 16 different meds a day for a total of now 23 pills every 24 hrs. So as I said, I can totally relate and wish you nothing but the best and I know how difficult this kind of situation can bring on, so if ever you need a friendly ear or opinions on prescribed meds, I'm a good listener/reader and if ever you need to talk on any of those issues, feel free to reach out. Wishing you a speedy recovery and my best wishes to you and yours during these trying times.

P.S Thanks for the link, I appreciate it but I am more looking forward for you to feel better and that you can come back to us at 100% with new material. Then I'll know you're truly back and will make your new material even better. Your health is more important than anything else, new material will just show that you're on the road of full recovery which is by far more important than any new material. Peace out!
